obnelly: DISNEY XD,ITV2-4 HD,SKY MOVIES,ACTION,COMEDY,SCFI,FAMILY---------SKY THRILLER,EUROSPORT HD,FX ,SKY ART 2,E4,SKY MOVIE BOX OFFICE,NAT GEO,EDEN NICKELODEON ALL HD ALL THESE I CAN WATCH BUT I GET FULL SIGNAL EARLY IN THE MORNING.46-48 is my signal strenght its a low signal but it still show little or no freezing.

I reside in E.Africa Kenya to be precise wished to know if there is anybody in the forum receiving any of the Astra birds plus the Hot bird....the furthest am getting is Badr 5&6 thnx

For The lovers of IRIB package....its nailable with the 120cm offset with no flaws....viva FTA
the signals is is good that even in bad weather is still strong and watchable. Thats the good thing about C Band reception!

if you r in nigeria the Europe B beam of Eutelsat 7E resembles that of badr.....if you have a 2.4M dish onwards you can take a short of this bird.

use 10721H 22000 for BBC persia and make sure you hit atleast a 75% on signal quality then blind scan n the d*g*t*urk channels will pop out.....get a strong 4922 hd receiver patched with 137p and ur good to go

Morn....will use Bardr as the reference sat...if it gives me a resonable signal coz am almost 25 degress south of you al be confident to try 13east,19east or the elusive 23 and 28east!

odilibe: Seems like some of Yahsat-1A C-band Transponders has being utilized for broadband services.....while some of the/It's ku band HD Channel frequencies..looks miserable for fringe receptions a FEC rate as high as 8/9 and 7/8 will be difficult on off footprint areas.... that means bigger dish sizes needed

odilibe: new sat to look out for, with ku middle east/europe / africa  C-band footprint, yahsat 1a @52.5east.(www.flysat.com/yahsat1a.php) yahsat 1a was launched with intelsat new dawn on 22/april/2011,according to flysat fox movies now on the ku middle east footprint.

their C band foot print its long overdue with no frequencies registering channels.....kiping our fingas crossed!

odilibe: I was referring to lnb conversion gain dB signal amplification...and you are describing lnb; low noise-block down-converter or how it works

lnb receives microwave signal from the satellite collected by the dish,amplifies it..(it is the gain-dB of the lnb that will define how much the in-coming signal is amplified).... converts it to lower frequency then sends the signal to the receiver via coaxial cable....

looking at MTI lnb on pic below...it has a high conversion gain-dB of 70dB...where the specification is correct! this will define how much the in-coming signal will be amplified...

when specification is correct! .an lnb with 70dB gain should be performing better than an lnb with 55db gain and when used on a long cable run.....where low noise figure plays a part in picking weaker signals...

In the mean-time MTI AK54-XT2N with noise figure;0.2dB and 70dB gain..seems like a good competitor for black ultra quad noise figure; 0.2dB and gain of 60dB.

Hehe we stil singing the same tune!best way I knw to hav a gud lnb is to go on field n do a nyc thorough test on each of d lnbs!kudos bro!

odilibe: These are high gain lnb(s) designed for weak signal areas....with low noise figure..and high conversion gain_make it suitable for long cable runs..the lnb gain determines how much an in-coming signal is amplified before being sent off down to the coaxial cable and to receiver....

Quite the reverse...an LNB receives the very low level microwave signal from the satellite, amplifies it, changes the signals to a lower frequency band and sends them down the cable to the indoor receiver.

Good news for the IRIB package fans its easily to nab on China sat 12 87.5E on a 90cm offset with a signal quality of 72%

Jsc and Canal are nt Fta u hav to get their cards and afta that swing your dish to Nilesat to get the Jsc Hd channels!
