Family › Re: Can You Marry Someone Like Your Mom Or Dad?? by Fredoallan: 4:21pm On May 28, 2020 |
mikeybrainy: For me I wouldn't try it, I can never marry someone like my mom. If I try that I would end up in an asylum.
She is a good mother, though not perfect (nobody is).
Some of my reasons are:
Nagging (like the neigbours can narrate everything happening in our house if asked to) Involving strangers in family issues (like she says everything)
She can't ever take the blame for anything (blames everyone for her woes, and she is never wrong)
She wants to collect back every single penny she spends in the house (which is impossible) Incites the children against their father (never realized this until I grew up and started thinking like a man, and honestly I'm sorry for all the ways I have acted to my dad, though my own is still fair, my siblings have complete disregard for their father)
Other things too that I can't mention here (makes me feel ashamed.
I realized all these when I started looking at everything from the lens of a struggling husband and father, and I'm still contemplating if marriage is worth it after all, I might as well stay single.... (I only date and break up with girls in my mind, Lol) cos I don't think its worth all the stress. Growing up in a broken, dysfunctional home is hard (sighs).
I wouldn't put all the blame on my Mom but I have resolved not to imbibe my dad's bad habits too (I can't even drink 1% alcohol not because I can't or it's bad, but I run away from it when I think of the things dad would have achieved, if he were not addicted to it)
Sorry for the long post.
Can you marry someone like your mom/dad?
Opinions I respect women but to be honest with you, women are same everywer. Both the old and young women are same bro. Some just good in pretending while some can’t. I grew up in abusive home too. My dad used to beat my mum. But to be honest, my dad was a very gentle man and easy going but my mum always look for his trouble. It’s got to a stage dah my mum start portraying my dad has d bad one to us. Fear women. My dad is hard working. He will go out to work in other for us to eat while my mum was full house wife. Women are just naturally greedy, garrulous and devilish. I realized all my mistakes late. My dad had gone to rest when I realized all my mistakes. Please don’t follow ur mum’ advise, take care of your dad. RIP dad. I miss you |
Romance › Re: Should I Allow My Girlfriend To Come Stay With Me? by Fredoallan: 4:09pm On May 28, 2020 |
Hightser: Hello guys, so I'm skeptical about this decision I'm about to take, my girlfriend will be joining the next batch of NYSC and I have been thinking of telling her to work it to Lagos.
Truth is, she learned fashion design sometime and she likes modelling for clothing brands and she teaches too, I believe with all of this she stands a chance of getting something tangible in Lagos than going to serve in one village.
My fear is this, (I recently got an accommodation, a single room self contain on the island, haven't even told her yet) So I need time to plan my future, I'm not fit financially to start fending for someone, if I am then my younger sister should be the one to come over ( though her service year is next year)
But if my gf is to come here, the agreement will be clear and concise, you fend for yourself while I fend for myself, don't worry, the relationship is that defined and she understands.
My reason of wanting to do this for her is cause she has been very nice to me and she has helped me out financially and otherwise in the past though I repaid her.
But guys, my major fear is living with a girl in the same house, won't attachment get serious, what if she gets pregnant? I don't want anything to hinder my plans, I'm 29 actually and I'm not planning to settle down anytime soon.
Please I need advice and contributions. See what our leaders did to us. At 29, guyman stil single. All d people dah fought for Nigeria independence are below 29. @op, take ur time sha. Nor be competition dou. If you knw dah you not ready to settle down now, don’t accommodate her. |

@op. It’s time for you to pay your uncle back. Dis man laid dah solid foundation for you. Without him, you might be among one of dos street kids. You owe your uncle to be sincere with you. D man is sick now, he needs you now.
Stop comparing yourself and your uncle’ kids. Your uncle had plans for his kids. It’s your parents duty to raise you not your uncle. Buh your uncle paid for your parents mistakes/irresponsibility.
Be a good man. Visit him and ask him what you can do for him. You owe him coz without him in you life, you might not be wer u are today.

Your own story is fair. Remember wen I was still in Nigeria, in 2018, my heavily pregnant wife was given drugs meant for another patient at SAFEWAY hospital at sangotedo area after abraham adesanya roundabout in Lagos state. Fear private hospitals on the island. Dey are always after your money. |

LinLinGentle: You are right bro, I had plenty gra gra back in Naija and I think she has psychologically programmed herself before arrival to come take her pound of flesh here. There is complete breakdown of communication with her family as they are on her side, always encouraging her to call the police on me. All they say is ''No gree for am o, he think say na Naija he dey. Show am well well, you have rights there and the govt. would support you'' It’s better you divorce her and send her back dan to loose everything. Some women are devilish. Dou we stil have some good women regardless. God will see you through on dis |

So i jejely and smoothly snicked back to the room and placed her finger on her phone sensor to open it. After unlocking the phone i went straight to the rest room to settle my curiosity. omo, as i open whatsapp, enter the caller name chat, naso i collapse.......... athink say na only that one, as i enter others naso i paralyze. what i saw was UNBELIEVABLE and beyond my mental absorption.
