Met a doctor and after the usual diagnostics he said the problem isn't from my ear but my nose,before it started i had a cold and a runny/blocked nose.still have the blocked nose. he said i have an eustuchian tube dysfunction(E.T is what connects the nose and the ear,one side is blocked so the sound) he prescribed nasal spray and some anti-histamine. The spray reduced the noise doe and i can only hear it when in a very quiet environment or when i think about it but i was told not to use it for more than five days. The sound is still here and i wish there are natural ways of making it go forever cux i don't want to take drugs anymore.

I've long accepted that the best cure for it is not to think about it.You see, I do not in anyway feel disturbed by it,it does not stop one from doing anything,it doesn't make us less humans than others. It's your thoughts,not the tinnitus,that is torturing you.It's a psychological thing.Get over it,as I have!

How did you manage to sleep at night? for some days now i haven't had good sleep/ate good food. am depressed and filled with anxiety at the same time.
also how long have you had the tinnitus? doesn't it desturb you at night? do you take medications

They gave me ear drop.The doctor said it's usually caused by prolonged exposure to noise.I suspect mine is from music cos I used earpiece to play music for a long periods before it started.It has been around for like 3 months now.I don't take any medications,I used the ear drop for a very short period of time cos it didn't work for me.The only medication I have is that I've changed my mindset,I don't pay attention to it at all,belive me if u do same you'll start to get over it.However I think you should visit a doctor,our cases might be different.There's no known cure for tinnitus so far.Why feel suicidal since it doesn't at all stop ur hearing?Jst ignore it and feel normal,it disturbs u cos u think of it non-stop.But visit a doctor.

Nothing really,I just got used to it.The sound is still here,but I don't even notice it.In fact I've not noticed it in days untill now that I read your message I believe it'll go away with time.It doesn't affect anything at all,I've accepted it to be a new part of me.

I think you need to get two creams. One is called an emollient (a moisturizer, preferably a non-perfumed moisturizer) which can be gotten from cosmetic stores. The other is 1% hydrocortisone cream which would be gotten from a pharmacy.
After your baths , rub the emollient on the affected areas, then 30mins later, rub in the hydrocortisone cream. Do this morning and evening.
If after a week there are no significant improvements, then you may have to visit the Hosp.

Frenchfriez Good afternoon Doc,pls I noticed some small rashes on the back of my fingers and on my legs,knees and elbow a month or so ago,the rashes healed without treatment,but I noticed the skin there was darker and just last wee my skin at those places,and particularly my hand and elbows, started peeling off for a new one,what do u suggest I do?My hands don't look so good cos of the peeling now, it feels dry and giving or taking a handshake is a bit embarrasing cos of the appearance.Help pls.
