I made the list but I'm still trying to sort my POF.
What will happen if I miss the deadline?
Can I still request for a new appointment date?
It may be very difficult to get another appointment, it was also stated there.
If you can you still have like 2 weeks to arrange yourself.

Good morning all and congratulations to those that made the list.
Please Note: for the information in the embassy platform form regarding PCC, what i means that you will have to do your PCC (Police Character) authenticate at MOFA then submit it with your application, embassy will then legalize you it for you.
Do not go an print you Police Character and add it in your application without getting it legalize at MOFA (foreign affairs).

Many thanks for the response. However, my son did not get any confirmation that he is been out in waitlist for appointment and it is over a week now.
Also, how will I get an appointment for myself for Schengen visa? I will like to accompany him and I did not get any opportunity to even register my application. Every time I complete the form, it tells me something that means in essence there are no more available appointment slots. Do I have to wait by the computer on the last Monday of the month by 9:30am to complete the Registration and will be valr to get an appointment?
That category, you can be assisted in booking that category and it is at the end of the month.
Let your son make use of the 24 hours technical suport provided by the consulate to his appoinment sorted out.

Excuse me, nobody scammed and I didn't get any email. I'm just making an inquiry.

I want to know how long it takes to hear back from the moe and the step after online submission. Just someone who has experienced the online application from start to finish.
After uploading your documents and making remital payment and getting email sent to MOE for the verification of your documents, you will then come for physical verification of your original certificate after which the verification, it would be approved and drop to your email, which you can download and print for authentication. But if you don't come for physical verification it would not be approved, except you sort for it to be approved without you coming for physical verification.

Does anyone know when the appointment portal is opened on the Polish Embassy at Abuja? My son n eds an appointment for Study visa and I need one for visitor (Schengen) visa so I can accompany him. He has offered and visa letter to a university in Poland. He has completed the application form and tried to register on the Abuja Embassy Portal but he got no calendar to select a date. No information was provided to him on Next Steps. I heard from someone today that the appointment portal is opened on the last Friday of the month but the individual didn't tell me the time. However, I read I a December 2025 post on Naira land that the appointment portal is opened at 9:30am on the last Monday of the month. Which is true? What does my son need to do next? Appreciate your advise.
Appointment for work is on weekly basis and Why Study appointment and other categories of visa appointment is on last Monday of every month.
For the Study appointment after he registered through the online video verification. He will recieve a message to notify him that he has been registered on a poll for monthly appointment.
If he have done this, he should be patient once they schedule appointment he will be notified.

I have been admitted at the university of Beira Interior but I have not paid fees. When I made enquiries, they said school fees is not refundable but my concern is, do they help their students to book appointment date?
Please help and respond so I can proceed to making payment or to decline the admission.
If you can wait, wait before paying that sch fees, because Portugal 🇵🇹 is funny now, they don't assist, but that does mean they might not because that was the position of other schools before they start helping their students.
We are waiting for VFS Portal for appointment.
I will advice you to wait for now.

PROPERTY DOCUMENT FOR HOME TIE STATUS OF VISA APPLICANTS

Some Foreign Embassies in Nigeria include submission of property valuation report of the Visa Applicant as a professional and supporting document for visa processing.

The purpose is for the Visa Applicant to justify his or her home tie status and economic status to the Consular's Office

The foreign embassy is looking for visa applicant with good home tie status and asset/property that can draw you back to your home country when your Visa expired.

The property valuation report helps the embassy/consular's officials to determine your home tie status and economic status before granting you visa into their country.

ABOUT FLIGHT BOOKING FOR VISA APPLICATION:

Important notes on flight reservations for visa applications:

1. Flight reservations/itineraries often get cancelled within 72 hours.
2. Despite this, they are still acceptable for visa applications.
3. You don't have to use the same flight when your visa is approved - you can book a new one.

IF YOU ARE USING:
Sponsorship

1. When being sponsored by a relative, sharing the same surname can simplify things.
2. This helps establish ties more easily.
3. However, if you don't share the same surname, you can provide evidence to support your application.
4. Remember not all types of visas require sponsorship

[quote author=ugorjimicheal post=139720019]Hi, what about if your company doesn't issue a payslip, but your salary is reflected on your bank statement? Also, I have a question: if I've paid my first year tuition upfront, for a 1.5 yr MS program, how much would I need to show as POF ? The program I'm going for is a 1.5-year program, but it's billed as a single fee, which I'll pay. In terms of living expenses, how much do I need to show for the year?

Pay slip is very important if you can get it, I know why I say so..you see some time the visa officer does not need much documents but straight forward documents that can collarate. Am saying this base on the positive result that people that submitted such documents got.
Some of this information are gotten from some of the applicants that have gone through the process. Sometimes before applying check if you have the required documents, if you don't you can start gathering them, an there some documents that are sacrosanct, when you have the correct documents your chances will be very high. I have seen many that follow this directive and was successful, this the sole reason why some are saying that Poland no longer issues Study visa, this is because they do not take time review and check if they have the correct documents before putting up an application.

I you didn't say the amount of your full tuition fee here, but you should have upto 30m, you have to show that you have a enough to cater for that one year expenses and throughout the duration of your study in Poland also with additional documents like property documents to prove your home ties, economic and social tie back to Nigeria, this is very important.
Make sure you also have someone in Poland, because they will call the person to comfirm after your interview.

Sorry, I'm asking, but I want to be clear

The appointment that only appears every last Monday is that for a Legalization appointment or the student visa appointment itself?
Work Visa appointment is on weekly basis
Study/other visa appointment is on last Monday of every month
Legalization matters, Schengen/visit/tourism and other categories of visa appointment on last Monday of every month too.

Thank you. I also want to know why I keep seeing people say that you cannot sponsor yourself for a BSc program and that you must use your father or another relative as your sponsor. Why is this the case, and is it something I need to worry about? and what are the documents to backup, if you are going in that direction...
Please note, that there are changes now in regards to visa application so it it depends on your age, Embassy is considering that now, if you are above certain category of age and you apply for Bsc or masters, you may end up not getting visa approval, nobody can give you this information this change came up few months ago and it affected someone I know very well that's how I get to know it came into effect recently. 23 years for Bsc and 28 years and above for masters.
It is assume if you are going for Bsc you are below 28 years and should be sponsored by your parents or family relatives that you share same name with. But if you are old enough to sponsor yourself and substantiate that by providing the required documents your application will be considered but using your parents as sponsor have additional advantage. Same with applicants going for masters study.

Some of you that ask me if it is possible to get a school with ongoing application for September
That will assists them with appointment date at the embassy.
Please check university of Aveiro, even university of Porto depends on the department and
Nova IMs with your legalize documents o..though Nova IMs accept with unlegalized documents..but i advice you legalize before applying because of what happened to others last year.

For those that their school helped, did they reach out to the school via email? Several reach outs have been done to NOVA but they responded that they can't help in anyway
Keep mounting pressure on them..that waa the position of other schs initially before they helped their students.
