While the State APC is preparing for direct primary election to elect its gubernatorial flag bearer, the electorates have resorted to critical screening before endorsing any aspirant.

1: First Aspirant

This aspirant wants to lord over Ogun State. Majority have rejected him as a stark misfit who cannot even speak simple and correct English without committing a blunder.

The three term lawmaker also lacks the ability to engage the public on issue based discussion. Apart from being able to facilitate federal jobs for few of his constituents which is a plus for him anyway, he couldn’t take active part in the real business of lawmaking for twelve consecutive years in Abuja.

The reason is not farfetched, only an intelligent person, vast with broad knowledge of national issues combined with good communication skills can perform creditably well in this regard.

Coincidentally, he stammers, not bold, lacking in courage to face a large audience on topical issues. A simple phone call to him will attest to the fact.

This is someone priding himself as the incoming Governor of Ogun state, the state of Obafemi Awolowo, Jonathan Odebiyi, Wole Soyinka and others! Apart from this, he is fond of jumping from one party to the other like his fellow political prostitute.

Until very recently, he was a member of the PDP where he failed to realize his fourth term ambition in 2015. Before then, he dumped the ACN platform where he realized his third term ambition for the Labour Party. He became a member of the House of Representatives in 2003 on the platform of the PDP. Call him a betrayer; you may not be far from reality. He left OGD political camp for Amosun. From there back to OGD to Buruji Kashamu and back to Amosun.

Well, the public is left to draw a conclusion on his aspiration.


2. Second Aspirant

This is another governorship aspirant with certificate scandal and some call him *KABIYESI*.

He allegedly bribed some leaders in Ogun East APC in order to emerge as the consensus candidate of the district amidst controversies which trailed the much touted “Ijebu agenda commission” under Chief Gbolade Osinowo.

This is no doubt a desperate politician that should be scolded by Governor Amosun for going against his political master’s belief and equation.

Amosun had on several occasions expressed his support for Yewa/Awori otherwise known as Ogun west agenda and not the east where this man hails from.

On the other hand, some analysts had argued that a recalcitrant Ashiru may have the underground support of Amosun as his Commissioner since the Governor has refused to openly condemn his political moves and campaign making them to doubt the Governor’s sincerity about Yewa/Awori Lokan.

He is desperate now to mount the number one seat of Ogun. But shall do justice to that comes saturday


3. Third Aapirant

We are too special to get lost into the wrong hand. *Tufiaka!*

This is another deperado who aspires to rule Ogun. He was the former manager of the defunct “wonder bank” Alpha Merchant who was convicted for massive bank fraud. This is not new to the people who are abreast of information and national news.

He is also a divorcee in the United States believed to be wanted for tax matters there.

He has different fraud cases with the EFCC and there is a conflicting argument about his educational claim, a certificate scandal of sort. Not many homes in Nigeria, have fully recovered from the bitter memories of the agony the mismanagement of Alpha Merchant Bank under Jimi brought.

He currently serves the Kaduna State Governor as Special Adviser on Investment.

He presently reposes his confidence on the connection of Governor Nasir El-Rufai to make him the Ogun state APC gubernatorial candidate in 2019.



4. Fourth Aspirant

Ogun State deserves the best, the man of integrity and a true experienced grassroot leader.

For awhile now, the name *AAA* has been ringing bell within a section of Ogun APC members as their preferred gubernatorial choice. *share this to reject a misfit*

He has been allegedly reported to have Involved in series of 419 activities in the UK. This is what he was doing before returning to Nigeria. He ran back home when he was caught for such shameful act in the United Kingdom and since then his name on black list.

On 7 July, 2018 Nigerian online newspaper Premium Times broke the story that Adeosun had illegally obtained her NYSC exemption certificate to get into public office.

On 9 July, NYSC Director of Press and Public relations, Adeyemi Adenike released a statement that confirmed that Adeosun legitimately submitted a request for an exemption certificate, but also stated that investigations were still ongoing to verify the approval of the exemption certificate.

On 14 September, 2018, Adeosun resigned as Minister of Finance due to the alleged NYSC Certificate forgery scandal.


The recent resignation of the erstwhile Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun over 'forged' NYSC Exemption certificate scandal has re-opened lack of proper checks of top politicians in Nigeria.

From Adeosun's resignation letter, she did not apply for a Nigerian passport until her 34th birthday when she officially became a Nigerian citizen by parentage.

A reliable source hinted that Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state employed Adeosun from Chapel Hill Denham Management in Lagos in 2011, a company owned by the former Finance Commissioner in Lagos state, Mr.Wale Edun.

"Governor Amosun cannot claim total ignorance over this NYSC certificate scandal. He did not invite Kemi Adeosun from England to Nigeria, he only headhunted her from Wale Edun's company to become a Finance Commissioner in Ogun state.The controversial NYSC Exemption certificate under question was quickly manufactured through illegal means during the Ogun State Assembly clearing process
for all Governor's political nominees.In all fairness, Kemi was not aware that the certificate was forged.I can tell you this bitter truth.When Kemi worked with Wale Edun, nobody asked for her NYSC certificate because she was over 30 years of age when she started work with Denham and later became the company's Managing Director."

The source further stressed that 51-year old Kemi Adeosun was not aware that her NYSC Exemption certificate was forged until Premium Times broke the story about 3 months ago and she quickly approached Governor Ibikunle Amosun for the way out, not knowing 'His Excellency' was behind the scandal.

"Kemi Adeosun in her letter of resignation stated that all those associates she trusted so much betrayed her. That's a loaded conscience-pricking message for Amosun and others who stabbed her at the back for whatever reason. When the scandal hits social media, President Buhari directed Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo to investigate the matter and advise him on the next steps to take, the VP knew the leakage to media came directly from Amosun and up till this moment, he is yet to get back to President Buhari until Adeosun resigned yesterday evening.That's the end of the saga".

Another exclusive source also hinted that Governor Ibikunle Amosun recently approached Presidency over the recent Paris funds( N16.7 Billion)allocated to Osun state and questioned why Ogun state was not involved in the sharing of the Paris funds.

President Muhammadu Buhari reportedly told him to contact the Finance Minister, his nominee to find out details but Amosun told Mr.President that he has not been speaking with Adeosun for close to 3 months now.

According to the Wikipedia entry, Kemi Adeosun commenced her career as an accounting assistant at British Telecom, London, from 1989 till 1990, after which she moved to Goodman Jones, London, working as a Senior audit officer from 1990 till 1993. She became Manager of Internal Audit at London Underground, London and Prism Consulting from 1994 till 2000 before joining PricewaterhouseCoopers, London as Senior Manager from 2000 till 2002. In 2002, Kemi became financial controller at Chapel Hill Denham Management and subsequently, Managing Director in 2010. After working with Quo Vadis Partnership as Managing Director from 2010 to 2011, she was appointed Ogun State's Commissioner of Finance 2011. Kemi maintained this role from 2011 to 2015.

In November 2015, Miss Adeosun Kemi was appointed Nigeria's Minister of Finance by President Muhammadu Buhari. During the annual general meeting of Afreximbank in Abuja to commemorate it's 25th anniversary, Adeosun was elected chairman of the board of the bank. Kemi is succeeding the outgoing chairman Ndagijimana Uzziel, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Rwanda.


It can also be recalled that Governor Ibikunle Amosun was also briefly involved in allegation of certificate scandal during his first term as Ogun state governor where he allegedly claimed of obtaining Msc Finance from one unknown London school. The matter later died a natural death because Amosun quickly removed it from his CV.

The traditional rulers in south west have decided to give their support to President Buhari in the coming 2019 electiion.

The survival of democracy beyond 2019 in Nigeria, taking into coqnizance all the present political imbriglos is evidently hinged on the INEC's ability to scrap all the present political gladiators jostling for election from getting the form.

It is imperative that INEC Chairman approaches a Court of Law to seek injunction to bar any politician who has case(s) in Court from applying for electoral form for 2019 election.

The investigative research carried out by BBC revealed that in a recent operation, soldiers were very close to Boko Haram’s main camp in the Sambisa forest but they were ordered to stop and eventually forced to retreat.

Earlier this month, the Nigerian army have issued a reward of $8,000 (2,888,000 naira) for anyone that can provide information on the where-about of the leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau.

A witness from the vigilante forces, working alongside the Nigerian army, told the BBC that Shekau escaped from his hideout leaving behind his cap, a laptop, his jacket, his chewing stick and a pistol

“They ran away I saw them with my naked eyes,” the witness added.

According to a commander who defected just after the attack; the militants are “still armed, but most of what they say is propaganda”.

Last year, the Buhari-led administration claimed to have ended the activities of the Boko Haram members, but this is regarded as sceptically by many Nigerians.
