A Nigerian who is a detective in the Toronto Police, Canada, Sergeant Bassey Osagie, has listed the reasons why xenophobic attacks are carried out by South Africans on Nigerians and other foreigners.

In an interview, Osagie stated that laziness on the part of the people of South Africa is fast turning the country into a typical African country.

”South Africa is becoming like a typical African country. The local people there are lazy and the government is not providing job for the regular South African people.

The local people are frustrated but their just taking it on on the wrong people which they perceive to be their enemy. Our people don’t deserve to be killed. Now you have a group of jobless South Africans who have no source of income, they see foreigners driving expensive cars, they see foreigners living better than them, so they believe those foreigners are responsible for their problems”.

He continued:

“That’s partly the problem. The Nigerian government is not helping the situation. The Buhari administration refuse to take decisive action against South Africa and make their government make tough decisions.
I’ve been to Cape Town and I understand that they have a very strong and effective police they can call upon to solve this problem. But they are dragging their feet because they don’t have the repacaution. I think the Buhari administration should have been more purposeful, more visionary and take decisive action”.

He added that as a Canadian citizen that he is, if anything should happen to him when he visits Nigeria, Canada would ensure somebody pays the price. This he said to show the Nigerian government how serious they need to treat their citizens.

"I’m wearing this uniform today, I can assure that if anything happens to me when I’m in Benin City, somebody will pay the price”, Osagie said.

Tensions have been mounted at Gwarinpa in Abuja after a drunk man and his girlfriend got out unhurt after their car had an accident which killed 6 people.

The drunk man and his girlfriend were returning from a night club around 5a.m on Saturday when they lost control of their vehicle which summersaulted and killed 6 people on the spot.

According to a background voice heard in a social media video that captured the scene of the accident, the drunk man didn’t care about the harm he had done to others.

As soon as he and his girlfriend got out of the car unhurt, all he cared about was his missing phone and chains.

Shortly after, a car came from nowhere and whisked him and his girlfriend away from the scene of the accident.

Actress Juliet Ibrahim has stated that the first time her ex-husband met her was in a strip club.

The actress made this known in an interview with Delay where she also spoke on her relationship with Iceberg Slim and how she suffered sexual molestation while growing up.

”The first time my ex-husband saw me was in a strip club. He came there”.

”He knew what he signed up for”, Juliet Ibrahim said.

She was also asked about the matching tattoos she got with Iceberg Slim in the heat of their relationship. The former lovebirds got tattoo on their hand which when put together says ‘LOVE’.

Juliet Ibrahim responded to the question by flaunting her hand to show she has moved on from what the tattoo use to look like.

Fans have stormed the Instagram page of actress Lilian Esoro over report that she is pregnant for actor Blossom Chukwujekwe.

This is despite her already addressing the report as false.

Lilian Esoro said:

”Please i am not with Blossom and we have not spoken for sometime since our last movie…I am not pregnant for him..Jesus Christ,is that how one gets pregnant?I am really shocked…Please leave me out of this story,I am not involved..Whoever involved me in this story must be jokingI am not pregnant for anyone,maybe its another Lilian.Blossom is not staying with me!”.

However, fans won’t have any of it as they stormed her page begging for more clarification.

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has expressed how irritated he is when people say late General Sani Abacha was a strong man.

In the heat of the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa, many took to social media to decry the slow pace at which President Buhari was handling the situation.

This led to some quarters wishing the xenophobic attacks by South Africans occurred when Abacha was alive as president. According to them, South Africa would have been humbled by him.
