Actress Anita Joseph has broken the promise she made to stop twerking because she now has a husband.

The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, has been accused of beating up another monarch during a meeting in Osun State.

The meeting was organized by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of zone 11, Bashir Makama, over a dispute on land between royal fathers in Iwo.

A source revealed that the Oluwo of Iwo got up from where he was seated and descended on Oba Dhirulahi Akinropo, Agbowu of Ogbaagbaa town, to the point of inflicting injuries on him.

Oba Dhirulahi was immediately rushed down to the Osun State General Hospital, Asubiaro, Osogbo, where he was treated of the injuries.

Oba Agbaje Habeeb Adetoyese, who confirmed the incident described it as shocking to everyone present at the meeting which had some government officials and police personnel.

Calling on Governor Oyetola to call the Oluwo of Iwo to order, he further accused him of issuing threats to other monarchs after the incident occurred.

He said: “This is indeed a bestial conduct that is highly unbecoming of an ordinary individual, let alone a royal father. How could a monarch of Oluwo status descend so low to the level of physically assaulting another king in the presence of AIG; this is strange to say the least.

” He just stood up from where he was sitting without any provocation and started beating a revered monarch from Ogbaagba, it was the AIG himself that rescued the monarch from him.

“We are calling on Governor Oyetola to quickly suspend Oluwo with immediate effect, keeping him on that throne portends great danger to other kings and the state at large”.

The Oluwo of Iwo who reacted to the allegation on phone said, "there is no issue at all, I wonder why they are so sensational about the issue, we would take care of it, why are they inviting you guys over such an issue, I don’t think it is necessary.” he said

The National Secretary, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Mr Saleh Alhassan has stated that the Yoruba people are the most primitive in terms of political culture.

Alhassan stated this while speaking on Channels TV's Sunrise Daily where he accused the Southwest of hate speech.

"Look at their hate speech. Somebody like Femi Fani-Kayode, go to his page to see what he's writing about the Fulani people", he said.

When asked if he was trying to blackmail the Southwest when he told them to scrap Operation Amotekun or forget their 2023 presidential ambition, he said, "It is not a blackmail".

"Unfortunately with very strong apology to my Southwest Yoruba friends. Despite the education of the Yoruba people, they still remain the most primitive in terms of political culture. They are not tolerant to opposition", he added.

Popular Nigerian comedian, Lasisi Elenu, has responded to allegations claiming that he must be an internet fraudster (popularly called Yahoo boy) after a skit where he portrayed a yahoo boy character - ‘Sinzu’ went viral on social media yesterday.

The skit tagged “Life of a G Boy” was widely accepted by fans with commendations that he perfectly nailed the character but some comments and reactions alleging that Lasisi must have been a Yahoo Boy before or is still one, would not go unnoticed.

However, in an exclusive interview with MyNigeria.com, the comedian said that those comments mean he is a good actor.

Lasisi stressed the point that he is not a Yahoo boy as opposed to the claims on the internet adding that it is a “compliment” for people to say that he “nailed the act” rather than a disturbance.

He said, “It is not something bothering or disturbing when people say such a thing; ‘for you to nail this act so well, he probably was one …’ I don’t think it’s disturbing, to me that compliments me, it just tells you that I probably did a great job. If I were to do a "Nike" series where I was talking like a Zaddy (Sugar daddy), people would say how come you talk so well, do you have a girl somewhere who you spend or lavish money on like this for you to know how these men talk or If I were to make an impression of a student debating people will still have that same reaction."

Lasisi also revealed that he was a bit puzzled by some people’s reactions to Sinzu’s behavior as they could clearly relate to the way yahoo boys behave.

"It’s funny because everyone says you nailed it but then my question is does this mean everyone is either a Yahoo boy for them to say that you nailed it. So, it just tells you that it is something that is highly relatable with everybody to say it’s spot on or I nailed it. It just tells you that for everybody to have an idea, it means that everyone is exposed to that lifestyle one way or another; either they saw it on TV or they know someone who knows someone that did this or they assume that’s how they sound. It is a mental thing and even people who don’t live in Nigeria will tell you they can relate; I wonder how can they relate. So it just tells you that one way or another, people have been exposed to that somehow.”

In addition to that, he said that the reactions confirm that he is a master at making impressions.

He said, “I think when it comes to making impressions I think I have a keen and strong passion for that, making impressions of different people, cultural backgrounds, religious beliefs, I think it’s something I have picked up over the years and I tend to do it with ease.”

The comedian was also quick to distance himself from any assumptions that his characters refer to any celebrity or someone that he knows. He said his characters are sometimes “fictional”.

“It is just like saying my ‘Nike’ name has anything to do with a girl that was once sleeping with a married man. No, these names are just names, some are fictional and some are names I feel will suit the character most. So it has nothing to do with anybody, it’s just a name that I decided to give to this character, that’s all, the name just sounds funny to me and I figured it will sound interesting to people who are watching, so that is it, I just look out for names that are going to interest the listeners and viewers, that is all,” Lasisi said.

Lasisi had a good year career-wise in 2019 and is optimistic of better things to come in the year 2020 with more shows and movies to come.

“Not bad! It started well. Things are still trying to unfold but it is still January, so, the peak of things haven’t really happened yet. I am just moving as it comes,” he said.

The governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has given reasons why a demolition was carried out on structures built in Marwa Waterside area in Lekki.

The demolition which was carried out by the Lagos Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) unit affected illegal structures in tune of over 2,500.

In a series of tweets, Sanwo-Olu said the "exercise became imperative as we begin preparation for the commencement of the construction of the coastal road".

His statement reads in full:

"The aesthetic value of any city is one of the important element of its urban identity which distinguishes it from other cities, hence it is disturbing when citizens build illegal structures without the right approvals thereby disrupting the planned urban development.

"The Lagos Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit carried out a demolition exercise of over 2,500 illegal structures built in Marwa Waterside area in Lekki, yesterday subsequent to the expiration of a seven-day removal notice.

"This exercise became imperative as we begin preparation for the commencement of the construction of the coastal road that would serve as an alternative route for the Lekki-Epe expressway".

Legendary Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe Damijo, RMD, has revealed what transpired between singer Naira Marley and his wife on a plane from Dubai.

Movie director, Kemi Adetiba has advised the public to treat those seen in the viral Babcock sex tape with kindness and empathy.

The sex tape involves a female student of Babcock and an allegedly expelled male student of the school having sex on what looked like a hospital bed.

Social media reports state that the male student was expelled because of drug abuse and was at a rehab centre when the sex tape was made.

Segun Awosanya a.k.a Segalink has reacted to the decision by a Federal High Court in Abuja which threw out the case filed by Busola Dakolo against COZA pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo.

The case was thrown out by the court which claimed it was filed based on sentiment thereby wasting its time.

Reacting to the court’s decision, Segalink who was one of those who stood by Busola Dakolo shared an update on Twitter:

Paris St Germain player, Ander Herrera has stated that there were times he felt football was not the most important thing at his former club Manchester United.

Ander Herrera joined PSG in the summer and has since been enjoying his stay with the French Ligue 1 side.
