Ghanaian actress and singer, Nana Frema has stated that she no longer gets movie roles since she had cosmetic surgery.

The actress went for liposuction surgery after she was constantly body-shamed on social media.

“You know when I went to work on my body, it was because of the name-calling, which at a point got me depressed and I thought going for surgery would work. It did because I’m now comfortable with who I am, I can wear what I want and all that but with my career especially, it has not helped, I am not satisfied.

“I feel it is because I came out to say that indeed I had worked on my body. The movie roles are not coming, the singing gigs are not coming and I sometimes feel I shouldn’t have come out, I think it has really worked against me.

“I thought things would be ok for me but I guess I was wrong, I am not fully satisfied. I needed that self-confidence to show the world what I am made of in terms of talent because before then, I was told, if I were slim, or did not have a big stomach, it would have been easy but it is all false,” Nana Frema told Graphic Showbiz.

Nana Frema also stated that the surgery affects her love life because her boyfriend has been ashamed to go out with her.

She stated that his friends laugh at him by saying he’s dating a lady with a fake body.

“I don’t blame them though because Ghana is not yet there. We have not gotten to that point where we will accept things like this.

“Interestingly, men like ladies with big butts, some even pay for their girlfriends to go and do it, even pastors pay for their wives but I guess they do not like that when it’s in the public like mine,” she said.

Civil Liberties Organization (CLO) has urged President Buhari and the National Assembly to abolish the Big Brother Naija reality TV show.

According to the organization, the reality TV show has no benefit in the transformation and talent discovery in Nigeria.

A statement issued by the chairman of the Anambra state chapter, Vincent Ezekwueme, also called on religious leaders and moralist to speak against the evils in the society.

CLO stated that their call is quite timely towards the protection of national interest, morality and the future of Nigerian youths.

Ezekwueme said, “The show has painful, shameful, negative and devastating impact on our youths, culture and society. Wealth without wisdom is one of the worst blunders of the world.

“The Minister for Information and Culture should constitute men of impeccable integrity to unravel if the show is in tandem with culture, traditions and believe of Nigeria in order to restore morality, core value system and good orientation.”

The Big Brother Naija reality TV show ended on Sunday, 6th of October with Mercy emerging winner.

She went home with the prize money of N60million, an SUV and tickets to travel abroad.

Actress Kemi Lala Akindoju has stated that the reason why Nigerians are celebrating BBNaija’s Mike for being faithful to his wife is because the country is damage.

Former reality TV stars, Kemen and Khloe have slammed organizers of the ongoing BBnaija Pepper Dem Gang edition for not punishing Tacha and Mercy for their unruly behavior.

According to Khloe, the ongoing Pepper Dem Gang edition has seen stricter BBNaija rules broken by housemates without any consequence.

Reverend Emmanuel Onset, an ex-spiritual father to Biodun Fatoyinbo, has opened up on why he dumped him.

In an interview with Adesua Onyenokwe, Onset stated that a 2013 allegation on extra-marital affair against Fatoyinbo of COZA Church made him part ways with him.

He made this known in reaction to the rape allegation against Fatoyinbo by wife of singer Timi Dakolo, Busola Dakolo.

According to Oset: “I had been Fatoyinbo’s spiritual mentor for years and have had to wade in when similar allegations were made against him.

“I investigated and the evidence against him was overwhelming but at the end, he promised that he would change.

“I had to cut off from him after a member of his church accused him in 2013 of having an extramarital affair.

“When that incident happened, I called him and told him that I wanted us to talk, but he kept avoiding me for many months.

“From August 2013 to April 2014, I kept putting pressure on him to come so we could discuss the issue but he avoided me. So I had to write him a letter telling him that I was no longer interested in being his mentor.”

Actor Saidi Balogun had reacted to claims by actress Tayo Sobola aka Sotayogaga that he introduced her to a man who duped all her contacts.

Reacting to the claim, Saidi Balogun issued a detailed press statement which reads:

“Hello Everyone,

I want to address the issue attempting to drag my name in the mud of social media. I would have ignored the matter but I realized that keeping quiet would further fuel the misconceptions and put me in a bad light.

Firstly, I wasn’t involved in any scam rather, I’m equally a victim. This is not a decision to hate or indict anyone but to clear things up.

A man named IDRIS BELLO came to me a few weeks ago and introduced a Hajj trip package. I wasn’t interested initially until he showed me a copy of my colleague IBRAHEEM CHATTA’S advert which he has been doing for his company. I was convinced knowing how well Chatta is very versed on religion and Islamic matters, so I decided to give it a shot but i didnt record any Visual and radio jingle for him except my picture that he used on his flyers.

A few days later, he pleaded with tears in his eyes that I should get some of my junior colleagues in the industry to buy into the traveling packages, he further explained that he had invested 20million naira already on the project and he was running into a huge loss.
His story seemed convincing, so I decided to encourage him by introducing MUSTAPHA SHOLAGBADE (versed in Islam)and SHOTAYO SHOGBOLA to his package.



During his birthday at Oriental hotels, VI, where he proposed to his fiancee in the presence of my self Lateef Oladimeji, Ibraheem Charter, Shotayo, Mustapha. The gathering gave me a total conviction that the man is up to the task. I felt that if he could bring us all under one roof in one day, he might be able to pull bigger jobs. I guess I was wrong. I decided to run an advert for his package which he paid like 0.5% of the deal we earlier agreed on and complained there was little or no turnout, I believed him and took furthersteps.

Before I knew it he had collected money from these people, he equally collected two hundred thousand naira from me when he claimed he had problem asides two other people which he promised to give free trip from Ibadan, Approximately, he took over four hundred thousand naira (400k) even after he had promised them a free trip.

The two people came to me that they had no money for international passport, which I fund them from my pocket to do the intl passport aside that, I also bare the cost of there trip from Ibadan to Lagos and the hotels and feeding on account of my goodwill


After I had done all these expenses, Idris ran to me again, that he had issues he wants to solve, my self and Ibrahim Chatta came to his rescue and I am also aware Ibraheem also borrowed him 200k.Along the line, Shotayo said she was no longer interested. But a week after I heard that the people Shotayo told earlier paid, which left me to confuse and shocked.

Unknowingly we got to the boarding plane only to find out that the booking he claimed he had made was not reflecting. He didn’t show up with the two other people’s passport/Visa either. Right there, we were left with two options either to report to the authorities or escalate the matter via social media platforms. My self and Ibrahim Chatta decided to let the matter rest and let God judge our actions according to intentions while we ponder on the next line of action. But later we thought of other victims that were involved who may not be willing to take such step because of the amount involved.


So, we set two options for ourselves either to go as a group to complain to the Authorities which others obliged or individual take it up and once there is a need to report to the Authorities we all make ourselves available.
Mustapha Sholagbada told me Sotayo had reported the matter to the police and she had collected a letter from Higher Authorities, which make me at peace that all is in control,


And each time Shotayo reports me to people, I try as much as possible to call but she declined to speak to me and never returned my calls. I don’t hold this against her because I reasoned she might be angry.
I was totally alarmed to see my name being dragged on social media for sins I never committed.
But i am really inquisitive about this, when did social media becomes the highest Authority in Nigeria that is greater than the law enforcement Angencies?



When has it become a crime to make a referral for colleagues? When we know that referral is the life wire of entertainers.
My intention for bringing my colleagues on board was clear and noble as I never knew it would end this way.
Am very inquisitive about this, If everything went well,will I have the same accolades on social media like this ?

Nevertheless, necessary investigations are still going on and we will alert the public as things unfold.
In conclusion I will advise the public to beware of fake journalists who for their selfish interests do copy and paste without proper investigation. Only God knows how many lives and career have been ruined to such a heinous act.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has blamed the rainy season for his inability to fix Lagos roads since he got sworn-in.

Lagosians have cited flash flood, dead street lights, potholes, huge traffic and crime as problems they’ve been facing since he mounted office.



Reacting to the cries, Sanwo-Olu revealed that he has been working and that he doesn’t need drums to announce that.

The governor made this known while speaking to State House correspondents in Abuja.

“Part of the things we are trying to resolve…traffic management. Once the rain subsides, real construction can actually start. Because during rainy season, there’s not so much you can do. It’s when the rain stops that you can start heavy construction, get your contractors back on site. It’s when you can do…road rehabilitation and road construction”, Sanwo-Olu said.

“On the Badagry expressway, we’ve given them a whole lot of relief. But people are not talking about it. Another interesting thing is that people are not talking about the Apapa gridlock again. Everyone has forgotten. You don’t see trailers on Eko Bridge any longer. You don’t see trailers on Ijora Bridge any longer. Nobody’s talking about it.

“It’s because we made a commitment and we stood by it. And we want to thank the federal government’s presidential task force which is working with the state government to ensure that we push that traffic to as close to the port as possible.

“These are some of the things that we don’t need to continue to talk about. But that’s why we are in government. We are meant to solve people’s problems and not necessarily begin to carry drums and dancing,” he added
