jayfolarin: If APC thinks this is an IPOB thing, let them announce that one of their high profile members is visiting someplace someday soon and tell us the venue so we can gather ourselves welcome him cordially.
Awon Oloshi! Guy your brain is sharp. Imagine these fools trying to deviate from the truth. They think it's an IPOB thing. They should keep deceiving themselves. While they're waiting for pdp to apologize they should please tell us when next lai Mohammed, or any APC politician will be traveling and where. We really need to give them a warm welcome. Politics › Re: Femi Fani-Kayode Reacts To The Assault On Ekweremadu. Warns Southern Politicians by Freeman59: 1:52pm On Aug 18, 2019 |
Ooni: my people, when are we going to stand up to tinubu, aregbesola, akande?
How can our region come under the tight control of drug syndicate and fake certificate holders like Tinubu, kashamu, Aregbeshola, Adeosun etc
Even the sowore who attempted to speak up we quickly dissociated ourselves from him and he is pilling away behind bars. If we start going this way then we may deny all our leaders if they are all arrested.
No successful country is built on cowardice. we will be setting a bad example for our children if we don't make this bold move like this Biafra agitators and stand up against our irresponsible politicians. Bro many of them will not listen to you. The division amongst Nigerians is a huge obstacle. Some of them here are busy dwelling on ethnic fights instead of seeing the good they ought to see. All they do is fight on twitter and nairaland, they can't stand up for anything. When they're oppressed they shout sai buhari. When their women are raped, children are killed, and injustice metted out daily on their fathers and brothers they still shout sai buhari . When the revolution comes, their blood will be used to liberate this country as well as that of the useless politicians that have looted this country dry. |

OK then I think you didn't read the OPs post properly. Now go back and read it. Xisnin: Actually, it is about age because only those actively involved in the struggle then can tell you what actually happened.
You see nobody is disproving Abani's writing talent. In fact, nowhere did this writer suggest such. If he did, I would have seen him for an ignorant fraud himself.
However, fighting for human rights is another area entirely. People have been killed, maimed, lost family and jailed for a long time for it. So it is totally wrong and even evil to try to ride on the wave of other's persecution to fame.
I have seen no evidence that he was jailed for activism and sentenced to death during the military regime. Have you? |

Literature › Re: The Trials Of Chris Abani And The Power Of Empty Words By Ikhide R. Ikheloa by Freeman59: 11:01am On Aug 18, 2019 |
BluntBoy: I have not drawn my conclusion. I have only written that it would be bad if the travails were lies because Abani has benefited a lot from them.
As for you, you are merely blindly supporting because you are an Abani. Being an Abani is not enough proof that you are right about Abani's honesty. And reading baseless stories here on nairaland isn't proof either that he lied. Meanwhile you think the American government don't know what they're doing? They still integrated him into their society and he lives there legally having a better life than the liars and tribal bigots that you are a part of |

Xisnin: I understand that you need to defend your family even when they are wrong. But how old are you to make such a declaration? I am very sure I'm older than you. But chief it's not about the age. |
Literature › Re: The Trials Of Chris Abani And The Power Of Empty Words By Ikhide R. Ikheloa by Freeman59: 10:54am On Aug 18, 2019 |
Were you there when all these things happened? Do you know about his travails? You talk like you know more than the American government. Since you're the only one who can read I guess you know more than them. But they know better so they integrated him into their society and he's living a far better life than you. BluntBoy: Can you read at all?
After reading about Abani's falsehood, you are honestly asking us to go and disprove the OP by checking Wikipedia of all places
Whether Abani is better than the OP or not is not the issue. The issue is "did he lie about his travails?"
These travails, more than his brilliance as a writer, have helped his image tremendously. It would be very bad if the travails were lies because it would mean that Abani used crooked means to project himself to the world. |

Of course I don't know you and you don't know the OP either.
I repeat, me and you are the 'nobody'. Should you wanna prove otherwise, share ur name to prove you're somebody I'm not moved by your dare one bit and I don't blame you for trying to dare me to say my name. new2012: Too much emotions and no message passed, just insults that are not even valid.. calm down!
First of, Wikipedia is not a valid data source most times, its an opinion page. Next of, the OP ain't a nobody, I am the nobody and you too (to prove otherwise, share your real name). Bro you don't know me, same way the OP doesn't know Chris Abani. I will not share my real name with you. All the op wrote here are lies and I simply will not stand for it. Go to Wikipedia and read about Christopher ABANI, don't read posts by tribalistic fools who only care to dent people's image. Christopher Abani is a better Nigerian than the whole of op's lineage. I'm an Abani and I'm proud of it. OP'S lineage and surname can't boast of anything, never stood up for anything and will remain cowards and social media warriors only, forever. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Shut up your dirty mouths. All of you here shouting, when the time comes you will stay in ur homes and only make noise on twitter qnd nairaland. Do u know Awolowo? Bleep you all LegendHero: You Igbos are something else, why suddenly attack the guy based on ethnicity.
Let me respond to your claim about alliance with the north.
Azikwe formed a government with the north (Balewa) by betraying the south.
The Igbos murdered Akintola and other Yoruba leaders in 1966 coup, they betrayed the south.
Alex Ekwueme formed a government with the north (Shagari) by betraying the south.
The Igbos voted Yar’adua in 2007 by betraying their own (Orji Kalu) for the Fulani and Inturn betraying the south.
Awolowo remained in the opposition up to his death and the Igbos made sure they allied with the northerners at the expense of the south, did you ever see the Yorubas termed them betrayals?
You same people voted for Atiku a Fulani man and you have the audacity to blame the Yorubas for voting Buhari the same Fulani? Such a depravity.
Awolowo is greater that any Igbo dead or alive, if you’re not happy with that, you can go to Hades. |
