To some extent you are right. God may be referred to as genderless. But at the same time, the scripture and Jewish writers paints a narrative consistency of a Masculine God, and he's referred to as Father, He, Our Father in heaven in heaven hallowed be your name. That's a language that paints gender.... However God is also called a spirit. And can nurture like a mother or express mother attribute. I am only approximating how the Jewish writers see God gender wise even though God transcends gender.

Well, if anyone were to be honest with themselves, the God that commanded the massacres of the old testament, slaughtering the old, young and even infants (animal sef no safe) is different from the peace loving God Jesus preached about. You expect God to give you eternal life but in Genesis he already withheld that privilege as he never wanted his supposed creatures to even have common sense. The goal is not to repress libido. Though the Bible says we should mortify our body, but before we can even do that, we have to first receive Christ, and yield our life to him.
Then over time as we continue to fear him, and obey him, he will start working on us, and start helping us to resist things we couldn't resist.

Then with our love for God, we will see ourselves fasting and praying which all allow God to supply needed grace to bring our body in subjection to him.
