Bros, neither of them are easy ooo

When I measured it, I think the poor only have it easier by 1 market that is

Poor 9: Rich 10.

The 2 are very very difficult for the people in them
You don't have to judge the value that poverty sometimes I still in religious people by using Nigerian religious poor people as case study. See Nigerian society is in a deep mess. Both cultural, social, political and religious society is a cankerworm.
Christ can't be mistaken to have made that statement of difficult level for rich, for us to now try to disprove it that it's ratio 9:10 .... That can't be true

God bless you for this!🙂
It's really sad especially in Nigeria how the so called pastor and Christians reduced the Gospel of Christ to a mechanism that is majorly meant to make us rich and enjoy..... Why should pastors emphasize people becoming rich much more than people becoming holy and honest. Why should our gospel tell people that once u are in Christ all your lustful ambition will be fulfilled instead of God's will in our life will be fulfilled. It's a mess. Money has taken centre stage.
The letter to the church in Laodocea is actually for the Church of today:
Rev: 3 v 14 - 19:

Revelation 3:14-19
[14]And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
[15]I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
[16]So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
[17]Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
[18]I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy unclothedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
[19]As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

What then will you say to some poor christians who compromised their faith because of hunger or/and hardship? What you don't know is that poverty has a severe negative impart on a person mentally, emotionally and health wise.
Compromise is not an attribute or moral failure specific with the poor, the rich even compromise the more. The poor may compromise from lack, or greed. But even with the poor, if the principle of contentment and fear of God is well Imbibed then such compromise shouldn't be a problem.
.
Many poor people who are righteous and diligent at God's work might fall away if they become rich. Riches has more compelling power to make us rebel against God.
At best, compromise is a function of our faith, it's a function of passing a test during the time of temptation to sin against God. Both poor and rich are tested and tried, all Christians will be tried to show if we are truly faithful in our work with God....
But the rich has more avenue to be tried because they have means and they go out into the world more often so they will most often fail much more than a poor person with low means who don't have exposure to places and a lot of avenue to sin,

however, even in his own little world, the holy Spirit will test his greed, honesty and contentment... as well as sexual purity... Of course we no when it comes to sexual purity, it's far easier for a rich person to fall because he will have more temptation from women who want his money

Oh! I see where you got it wrong. I'm not speaking ill of poor people. You seemed not to get my point. My point is that it is more difficult to live a righteous life as a poor person than a rich person. This is not to say the rich doesn't have their issues or weakness.
And I disagree vehemently that it's far easier to be righteous and holy as a poor person than as a rich person. This doesn't mean I'm advocating for poverty or that I'm jealous of rich people. No. I'm not poor, and I don't plan to be. But I'm not fixated on becoming rich or wealthy. Paul said we should work enough to feed ourselves, and give to others. You don't have to be a rich man to give to others. Even Jesus said the poor widow gave the most!
.
See ehn, If wealth was so pivotal to the gospel, Jesus and the apostle will have demonstrated that, at least 2 or 3 rich men would have been active and zealous apostle.... It is for a season like this where people love money and ambition for money more than God that wealth was not emphasized by Christ or his immediate Apostles and early church.
.
Christianity doesn't mean u will be poor, Maintaining focus on God and on our spiritual growth should be our utmost ambition not wealth. Jesus already said "and those things will be added".. He call our zeal for money, wealth, luxury, food " those things"... To show it's not as important.
.
Now if we actually need real resources to propagate the Gospel, believe me, if we are truly faithful and if God trusts us, then wealth can gravitate towards us for the reason of Gospel. And the blessings of God added no sorrow.

Riches should be predicated or situated within the agenda of God and his kingdom not for personal aggrandizement or showmanship to proof that we are better or to feel God answered us more than others.......
Those who vigorously pursue money will meet sorrow, and their Faith can be threaten, some leave the faith and follow mammon ultimately.... That's why Christ say u can't serve two masters. Many go diabolic and all manner of wicked business practise to sustain their wealth... cos greed usually follow love for money. Luke 12:15: "Then he said to them, 'Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.'"
.
The reason most rich people won't make heaven is because they serve mammon, their riches, network and net worth takes more importance: 1 Timothy 6:9: "But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction."

Apart from Jesus caution against wealthy people

Here is James, disciple of Christ saying same thing:
James 5:1-5
[1]Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
[2]Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
[3]Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
[4]Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
[5]Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.

Tell me the percentage of truly rich people in this world or in Nigeria, even amongst Christian that are not exploiting labourers, or corrupt in their work place, or in their business or not into diabolic things.... The percentage may be 1 or 2 %

Jesus isn't against the rich. Being rich doesn't disqualify you from entering into the kingdom of God or being poor. You can be poor and still not enter.
Obviously, even if u have riches, I doubt if you understand Jesus' standpoint and disappointment with the rich people, for him to make that drastic statement that it's easier for Carmel to go in through a needle hole than rich men to enter heaven.
You obviously can not understand the gravity and import of that statement. If you do, your tone would have been of humility and less about speaking ill of poor people

Let me be honest here, if I get rich, I mean clean wealth, I shall be holier and more righteous than I am now. Poverty is very terrible, and you know it. The disadvantages of being poor cannot be compared to the disadvantages of being rich. Even the Bible said "Money 💰 answereth all things". With this few points of mine, I hope I'm able to convince you and not to confuse that living a righteous life as a poor christian is tougher than living a righteous life as a rich christian.
You are not convincing me, it's you against the word of Christ.

Jesus knows better before saying what is written in the Bible book of Luke 18:24-25 and he never said anything negative about the poor but positive always about their chances of salvation.

Joseph Arimathea is a secret disciple which means something is wrong with his faith otherwise why not declared faith in Jesus publicly?

Now after these things, Joseph of Ar·i·ma·theʹa, who was a disciple of Jesus but a secret one because of his fear of the Jews, asked Pilate if he could take away the body of Jesus, and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took the body away. John 19:38

But whoever disowns me before men, I will also disown him before my Father who is in the heavens. Matthew 10:33

Another reason why it's difficult for the rich to enter God's Kingdom! 🤔
The truth is, he must have been a secret follower because he dint want to lose the favour, connections and deals he receives from religious leader and people of influence in that society... The connections which he must have enjoyed in his business.
It's like the rich Christian politicians of today who only bears the Christian tag but never ready to take side or speak up not to offend the sensibilities of other people because of favour and political clout they want to retain.
That's why Christians are being sloghteredd in States like Benue, Zamfara, Kaduna, Kogi , Jos and yet we have Christian politicians who can't take it upon themselves to speak the truth and seek justice for their people. Nonsense Christians that will never make heaven

Your point is a bit different because the man wanted to be perfect and Jesus wanted him to be His disciple or follower just like Peter and others. As for Lazarus and the rich man, the rich man didn't go to hell because he was rich. He went there because he neglected poor Lazarus.
Go and get rich and show us your holiness and righteousness that is better than that of Lazarus..
.
Jesus said it's easier for Carmel to enter a needle hole than a rich man to enter heaven, in your own interpretation and that of your fake worldly pastors you all think u know more than Jesus.
.
Why should a Christian be consumed about getting rich as an ambition..... Getting rich should never be your obsession. Your obsession should be loving God, knowing him, and making everyday effort to please him and to align with his word and service.
Getting rich should be by the way, just an icing on the cake which God sometimes blessed his children with.
What's wrong in being content with what you have

Good day, fellas. As a christian, if you are poor, if may affect your christian life or you may find it difficult to live a holy or righteous. Let's face it and leave sentiment aside. However, I don't mean a poor christian can't live a holy life but it is harder for the poor than the average or rich.
1. Why then did Jesus say it will be easier for Carmel to pass through needle than a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven?

2. Why then did Jesus asked the young rich man to sell all his property and follow him?

3. Why then did Jesus advised us in his famous teaching on the mount known as the beatitude that we should lay our treasure in heaven where moth and ant will not touch it.

4. Why then did Jesus say where your treasure is lays your heart

5. Why then did Jesus spoke parable about rich man and Lazarus.

The love of money is the root of all evil, not poverty.
.
You all need to repent, because the devil is actively changing the focus of the Gospel to inordinate craze for money and lust for pleasures.

What he said is opposite of what the Bible said. As a matter of fact, Jesus said that it is "easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God", Mathew 19:23. In other words, wealth can be an obstacle... The rich are exposed to more temptations than the poor. Go and ask. Btw, true richness comes from a life focused on God, with priorities set on eternal things not on bank accounts. You can have billions in your bank account and still be considered wretched by heaven. It dey Bible too.
It's so sad that people don't even remember basic scriptures and word of Christ about riches.

Jesus even used a parable, of Rich man and Lazarus, Jesus in another place said We should built our treasure in heaven, Jesus in another place said where a man's treasure is that's where his heart will be.
Jesus even told a rich man to sell all his possession and follow him
Jesus also said to the church of Laodociea that they think they are rich because they have no lack, they have money and all but they are actually poor, naked and dead.....
Jesus also said it's easy for a Carmel to enter heaven than a rich man...

Yet Christians of nowadays can't make a reference to counter these fake pastors who are wolves and serpents. We are truly in endtime.
Any Christian whose focuse is more on becoming rich than serving God and maintaining righteousness can never enter heaven... And 95-99% of them are fake Christians.

Hamachi:
It's completely understandable to have concerns about trust, loyalty, and emotional baggage in relationships — those things really do matter. But it's also important to be fair and compassionate in how we view people’s pasts, especially when it comes to something as complex as love, sex, and personal growth.

Many people have past relationships or have made decisions they later regret — that’s part of being human. What truly defines a person’s readiness for marriage isn't just their past, but what they've learned from it and how they’ve grown. A history with exes doesn’t automatically make someone unfaithful, just like a quiet past doesn’t guarantee loyalty.

Yes, some people may carry unresolved emotional ties into marriage — and that can be damaging. But that applies to men too, not just women. It’s a two-way street. The real issue isn’t just who someone slept with in the past, but whether they've been honest with themselves and their partner, and whether they're willing to build a relationship based on transparency, healing, and commitment.

If someone is still tied emotionally or sexually to an ex, it is important to reflect, pray (if that aligns with their beliefs), and take steps to be free of those ties. But let’s approach that with encouragement, not condemnation. People change. People heal. And many have gone on to build beautiful, faithful marriages — not because they were perfect, but because they chose to do the work.

Rather than focusing on shame or suspicion, let’s promote open conversation between partners. Ask each other hard questions, talk about the past honestly, and make space for grace, not just judgment.

Love that’s real — whether in dating or marriage — is built on trust, growth, and truth.
Is this what your Bible taught you?
Many of you would have been stwonee to death in Moses time, but you still don't understand the gravity of infidelity and gravity of cheating while engaged to a man.... Nonsense and open conversation about cheating
