Hey guys With the rain that has been falling in Lagos since Friday , would love to know wat the situation is in your area wiv regards to roads. Here in Amuwo Odofin, the inner streets are horrible. The flooding is better unimagined!! But aside that, the main FEStac roads are ok wiv the exception of minor floods! |

laudate: A wise man once said, "It is better to keep quiet and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." This adage applies to you perfectly... you really should have kept quiet, since you had nothing of substance to add to the discussion. And whose thread is this ![]() |
acidtalk: I feel you.Spot on bro. |
Ok. Been looking for an apt around mainland Lagos for the past one week. I have the money to pay for a good house but its hard as almost all landlords are asking for a coporate client. I run my own business and employ people in my office but cant seem to get an apt cos m a business man. I dnt really get the idea in this. I remember in d past 4months, i got a call from a landlord asking if one of my employees work in my office. I said yes. But now I who own the office cant get an apartment cos they want coporate Igbo, Yoruba Banker ,Hausa oil worker or Efik Lawyer. Its getting really hard for any business man or woman to rent a house in Lagos!! Goodluck if you happen to be an Igbo Trader-real goodluck to you |

[quote author=Johnson213]Please specify your engine capacity as in whether 2.4, 2.5, 3.5 or 3.3 and also check your manual to know what kind of transmission your vehicle carry, whether 4-speed or 5-Speed. This is very important before you change your transmission fluid. Good luck.[/quote Its a 3.5. 5 speed. Thanks |

dabossman: And you think the majority of our kids here are well-behaved with good character and orientation? That we bow or prostrate to greet our elders, call them sir/ma and so on does not mean we are cultured when the average Nigerian youth (16-40) doesn't know that he should slow down for pedestrians at a zebra crossing. They will respectfully insult your for correcting them when they do wrong. Many are chasing riches without any plans to work hard for it. Majority are so lawless.I know some of our kids in Nigeria here lack respect and training but u cant compare with raising kids in d west, Absolutely NO WAY!! That the kids do not respect elders or zebra crossing is just the tip of bad orientation. Being someone who lived in the West with family before returning home, kids raised abroad is anoda ball game. They truly respect those in authority like Teachers, police, wardens but have no amount of respect for their own parents!! Just tell my last son u wuld inform his teacher abt his bad bhavior at homeand see how he begs. I rather my children grow up where they can have a solid identity than somplace whr sum1 will never cease to remind them that they are not true citizens but borrowed regardless of their birthplace and having tax paying parents. I believe I have everytin to make my kids life here better and also instil family values in them. I want kids who will always remembr me in my old age not like what i witnessed with the old caucasians in Europe. Life of loneliness in a care home!! |
Hmmmmmmm. This step u are about to take is surely a mind boggling one. I just relocated bck to Nigeria and so far am not regretting it one bit. Remember is not easy to raise kids abroad. Yes they can hv d best of education and all. But character and orientation can defo go sour with kids raised abroad. All I can say is this: it is ur decision but make the right one for d good of ur sanity. |
Nice fellow. Did business wiv this dude n recieved my car papers n tinted permit within 24hrs. Kudos man!!!! Appreciate |
