PoliticsRe: Nigeria's GDP By Sector - Oil Isn't The Major Source Of Our Income by freshdew: 6:47am On Jul 06, 2012
Sky Blue: Wrong! Even Anambra that claims to have the lowest unemployment rate is dependent on oil derivation. Most states ARE dependent on oil derivation. You are talking of how you will like things to be, not what partains now. Only at the very most 2 or 3 states can survive without oil derivation as things currently stand (lagos being one because they actually collect tax). No need to beat around the bush with this issue and don't be mistaken. As things currently stand, Nigeria is very heavily dependent on oil (and this is not hyperbole). We have a state welfare oil gravy train the way things stand. Does it have to be that way? No. Is it that way? YES.
my broda, oil haz bred enof bad blood and hatred in our country.wel,2 add 2 what u said,I tink edo state gov. is also doing well in revenue and tax drive.I tink I can tank edo and lagos states for dia 4sitedness.

Billyonaire: PDP is better for Edo State. How can a Governor lie about assassination attempt when it was students that just needed him to address them as he promised. He lied to them that he is gonna address them and lied again when he called them Assassins. I loved him as an activist, but as a Governor, he is under-performing.

EducationRe: Osun Distributes Computer Tablets Of Knowledge For Test-running by freshdew: 9:24pm On Jun 12, 2012
Kobojunkie: Go Preach that bull to someone else, will you? An Initiative of this sort has, to date, not benefitted our Education system. Osun is not the first state to attempt this. Many others, especially during the Yar adua years have attempted some of the same plans. What has become of those plans? And how many of them have positively impacted Educated in those states? I can confidently answer that question for you. NONE!!! Many of these have been temporary boosts for a handful, who at the end of the day have had to deal with the main reality, the education system remaining the same as it was before their receiving of these gadgets.
We have to remind ourselves here that this is tax-payer money being used here, and this ought to be used to re-build the education system as a whole, rather than purchase laptops/tablets to give out to students, who at the end of the day, need a good education system in place to help them make sense of these new gadgets and the power locked in them.

I think we have seen about enough of these "initiatives" to realize this is definitely not the way around our problem.
What majority of these programs seem to be focused on doing, and continue to do, is seek ways to cut AROUND the major issue, slap a band aid, or more on the sores in our education system. The more we pretend another one of these will change things, the more valuable funds, and time we waste. The kids are not getting any younger, and their futures are not waiting for us to get things right first.

Do you ever ask yourself, I mean before you post one of these lines of yours, whatever happened with the many mega/modern/ginormous plans of this sort in other states. Or are you one of those who believe the secret to success is in the doing the repeating the same old failed exercise, over and over, expecting a new outcome with each and every turn?

There is nothing path-breaking about his attempts, or your attempts to blow air up his arse here.

Please always bear in mind that when Government embarks on these so-called "initiatives", the tax-payer pays. These Governors are not using their allowances for these. It is money from the state that is applied. And if nothing substantial is gained at the end of it all, the people suffer it. This Governor, and others, will get his pay check, allowances and extras at the end of the day.

I can fault his vision, because, like the one's you claim maybe building 6 stadia for a state with no football team or N7 billion to demolish a hill , this 'initiative' seems to be born of a lack of ideas on how to best tackle the problems in our education system. I mean one can also blindly argue that the 6 stadia Governor is spending on improving sports in the state, and someone will tell us that too. But we all know that is crock, and so is your claim that spending state money buying a tablet for each student is spending money on improving education.
I don't understand why most every one of these governors keep coming up with about the same plan whenever it comes to tackling problems in Education, or whatever other sector. Building of classes (how many of them are even in near good shape to date since we have been reading of governors building new class units all over this country), distributing computers purchased with tax-payer money, distributing free textbooks, buying new school uniforms, building yet another privately run school (primary, secondary, university) only go to painting a new color over the problem, and not tackling it. And this has been revealed time and time again, as the indicators still point to a system still in decay.
I don't know why u hate dis man so much.de man haz embacked on reconstructing school buildings and at de same time planning on how to hand to the children a learning tool that will make research and self improvement easy for diz children possible.Duz dat not sim 2 u like sum 1 who want 2 improve education in his state? If he can sokcid wit dis,I believe he can move 2 de next level. It is a welkom development.Don't 4get dat de man u are tryin 2 malin here haz also innitiated de yut employment program which is presently being understudied and mimicked by ur fed. Business To BusinessRe: Blco Genuine Seller Is Needed by freshdew: 8:49pm On May 18, 2012
harakiri: First of all, anybody with insider knowledge of crude oil knows it's ALWAYS a seller's market. The seller dictates the tune and procedures NOT the buyer. There are less than 50 genuine sellers of crude in this country and they are all multi-billionaires with buyers crawling at the feet with offers every blessed day. If you were in that position, would you have time to consider any so called "buyer's procedure" when you have more than 500 people that are more than willing to follow your own procedure to the letter? I currently have an unreplied LOI from a direct buyer in the US and the seller disregarded it all because the buyer started putting rubbish procedures in the LOI. That is how it works my friend. The buyer writes an LOI stating he/she/they want to procure XXXXXXXXXXXX amount of crude on CIF/FOB basis for XXXX amount of months. The seller now responds with their procedure followed by either an SCO or POP (in my case, i have the POP which i can NEVER give to even the direct buyer in this world or the next). This is the reality of crude oil business and not all these documents flying all over the place with nothing concluded at the end of the day.

Second, anything BLCO on TTO is a dicey game. I currently have SPA with complete vessel details but i cannot say i am 100% sure it exists and i only give it out on request hoping it turns out to be genuine coz i don't think any sane person will load 2million barrels of BLCO in a vessel and leave it to float for weeks/months without buyers killing each other to grab it.

Third, you haven't even seen the seller's procedure or the SPA and you are already making terms and conditions in the sharing formula...you are already declaring an endless chain of agents/facilitators. That alone is enough to put of anyone who can bring a clean deal to you. Everyday i hear agents talk about greed in other agents but as it is, they are ALL GREEDY!!! Apart from the so called "mandates" (who have no legal documents backing themselves as mandates or even have direct contact with the buyer), at best there can be one or two more agents. Anything more than that is a fraud and it's very common in this industry. A lot of potential good deals have gone down the drain because of this common trend. People are their greedy tendencies/insecurities kill deals.

Finally, crude oil is not that easy to get. Anyone who tells you different is only deceiving you. The constant fuel crisis in this country should be more than enough to tell you it's not as easy as that. The seller calls the shots. Get that into your head if you want to make headway in this industry.

Nuff said!!!
thank you so much my broda I've sufferd so much from diz so called agents & stupid mandates pozin as sellers mouth piece.i tank God i've neva fallen 4 dia rubish.tnk u once again 4 dis exposition.
