$tunna:
my good friend from Niger Republic who spoke Arabic was the 1st person to inform me that the word arabs call black people translates into the English word 'slave"
i was shocked...to hear that back then so many years ago!

if you hear of the way middle class arabs (they call them rich there) making 10 or 15 thousand dollars a year in their home country treat their african maids...you will cry!!

lets wait and see if the poster will come back and say 'oh t/he/y are/is not considered white/s...okay my people i take the story back...lets just forget i wrote this inane post!!!!

...anybody here wanna bet he will not take back this insulting story - everhuh
bro ur friend was right..arabs hate blacks right from the beginning of time. they were the ones that started slave trade before europeans ravaged us...back then, they will travel to Africa and buy Nubian men, this african men were huge and they posses warrior characteristics. arab traders buy this african men, use the for war or sell them to the Romans.
even up till today there hatred for blacks still exsit. why do u think they keep massacring blacks in places like libya and other north african countries. dirty smelly hairy murdaf.uckers.!!

Powers that be don't want us to know the truth sha.
trust 9ja govt, they don't like their citizens to know about their history cause of the evil the govt has been doing which they covered up with lies all this decades. if i see any other means of circulating the video i will do it. is too huge to be sent via email.
once citizens start getting sensitive informations like this about nigerian govt, they start shaking. i have a feeling this video will spark a brain in this country to start something positive.

They have blocked it under some flimsy excuse of a copyright claim but they failed to list the entity that is putting up the claim so we can ask them why? especially when the narrator gave them credit in the piece. Videos of public officials cannot be copyrightedhuhhuhhuh??

PoliticsRe: Chief Awolowo Released From Calabar Prison, 3rd August,1966.(photo) by freshdude:
Aladinn: Good you said, "which miltary man in that period do you expect ojukwu to meet?" i say a top yoruba miltary officer. It was all an army affair during that era. If ojukwu couldnt trust a yoruba military officer why trust a helpless yoruba civilian that was just released from prison? Without military might there was little Awo could do. You expect him to rouse the people to carry sticks and cutlasses against gun trotting armies? That would be foolhardy. Igbos and the northers had more military men then the yorubas. The theme word would be caution on the part of the yorubas and that was what Awo did.
let me brake histroy down for u a lil bit, awo was the best person ojukwu could meet to lead the yorubas...Awo was the leader of the opposition party before he went to jail. he's experience was ranked with the likes of zik and tafawa balewa. awo was frustrated with the way the north dominated the parliament. this made it difficult for the south/west to enter into power cause no decision could be taken in the parliament if the north opposed it. a constitutional amendment wasnt realistic, so awo resulted to violence. him(awo) latif jakinde, anthony enahoro and josiah olawoyin wanted to over-throw the govt before they were caught and sentenced to 10yrs in prison.
mind u this wasnt an all military affair in that era. some civilian were also holding key positions. why was awo no 2 individual in nigeria at that time when gowon was the president.? was awo a military man?
ojukwu felt awo was the right person to rob mind with cause of awos previous rebellious traits. awo was power hungry and ojukwu knew it. so he felt awo would lead yourbas out of nigeria cause nigeria was still under the dictatorship of the north awo was fighting before he went to jail. but unfortunately for ojukwu, nigeria has just discovered oil, so gowon gave awo an offer he couldn't refuse.
after accepting the offer, awo switched side. he wanted to benefit from nigeria were he was hoping to become the president.

if ur going to steal something, and u need an accomplice, who do u meet to join you.? a potential thief who has stolen and got caught, or a novice that cant even muster the courage to steal. awo had the potential ojukwu was looking for, that was why ojukwu said awo was the best president Nigeria never had.
PoliticsRe: Chief Awolowo Released From Calabar Prison, 3rd August,1966.(photo) by freshdude: 2:39pm On Dec 05, 2012
Aladinn: why would Ojukwu (a military man) relie on Awolowo ( a civilian) to secede? Were there no yoruba top military officers Ojukwu could convince?
look at the kind of question ur asking. which military man in that period do u expect ojukwu to meet.? awo was the best person for the deal at that point.
1 he went to jail cause of a treasonable felony.(he wanted to over throw govt, before he and his cohorts were caught.)
2 when taking decisions like this, u need a man of the people that can convince the masses. someone that the people trust, so awo was the right person to carry out the secession.
PoliticsRe: Chief Awolowo Released From Calabar Prison, 3rd August,1966.(photo) by freshdude: 12:06pm On Dec 05, 2012
that pics could have been taken anywhere, just a pic of gowon walking with awo. ojukuw brought that nigga out of prison so he would take yourubas out of Nigeria while him(ojuukwu) take biafra out of Nigeria.

bassette, that dude Kaduna Nzeogwu was something else. see how young and handsome he was in that video. i doubt if he was up to 28yrs when he carried out that coup. i read an interview about him before he was killed.. he said he wasn't happy with ironsi's govt, that it was the opposite of what they planned. The coup got messed up along the line and was hijacked by ironsi, had it been it worked out as Nzeogwu planned it, he would have been the che guevara of our history.
our founding fathers were the ones that sowed the seed of tribalism, corruption and nepotism. they got it all wrong. every ethnic persuasion was fighting for their own interest. there was no national spirit right from day 1.

was smart enough to download the video before they pulled it out of youtube, cool i will see how i can re-post it here. thats if am not gonna get banned.

most of u ignorant mofos antagonizing the OP for posting this video havnt even watched it... all u do on nairaland is sit down and criticize what ever u see. yall should get a life. buncha retards..!!
this video almost brought tears to my eyes. the song that started playing during the biafran war part(million voices) cry cry . see the English Nigerians spoke back then compared to what we speak now. the cassidy's song they used in introducing abachas part was d.ope cool. see how kaduna nzeogwu explained how they carried out the coup with cadets on live camera. The problems that we faced before Independence are still the same problems we are still facing today. tribalism, nepotism, greed, corruption. There is nothing redundant or pessimistic about this video. this is video is a wake-up call for us all.

TRV_IJN: Hi freshdude, pls confirm if one needs a transit visa to land in Turkey? I recall a story about a guy that was sent back to Nigeria because he didn't have a transit visa for turkey- he was going to Ukraine (this was around 2003-2005, don't recall exactly when.
yea u do need a transit visa to go thru turkey, ma bad...getting a turkish transit visa is not stressful. cost about 10k in turkish emabssay in abuja, u can get it in max 3days time. depending on the number of people they are attending to. since students haven't started flocking the embassy for visa, it wont take much time.
but if time is not on ur side. i will advise u use an airline that wont need a transit visa.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by freshdude: 11:09am On Nov 30, 2012
kelly4top: @ALL, PLS WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING FLIGHTS WILL U RECOMMEND FOR ME? ETHIOPIAN AIRLINE OR TURKISH AIRLINE. BOTH FLIGHTS ARE CHEAP JUST THAT ETHIOPIAN STOPS AT AD-DIS ABABA WHILE TURKISH STOPS AT TURKY-ISTABUL. DOES ONE REQUIRE TRANSIT VISA WHEN FLYING ANY OF THE AIRLINES? WHICH OF THE FLIGHTS DID YOU PREFER? OTHERS ARE SO EXPENSIVE.
go with Turkish airline, Turkish airline is currently the best airline in europe...and ur transit point (istanbul airport) is awsome. kiss. they also
serve beer, and spirits in turkish airline grin grin u can use that one to warm up ur body for the cold in Istanbul.
u can also dink as much as u want.. cool cool
FamilyBelgian Discovers His Wife Used To Be A Man After 19 Years by freshdude(op): 9:57pm On Nov 28, 2012
A Belgian is seeking to have his marriage annulled after discovering that his Indonesian wife of 19 years had been born a man. The man, only named as Jan, married Monica, his family's former au pair in a previous marriage, in 1993 despite legal difficulties raised by the Belgian immigration authorities.
But it was only in recent weeks that he discovered that his wife had originally been a man and had undergone a sex change.
"I feel I've been assaulted," he told the Het Nieuwsblad newspaper.
"I brought her to Belgium. That was not easy. The Belgian courts had serious doubts about the authenticity of her birth and her identity papers, but eventually they accepted it anyway. I thought she was an attractive woman, all woman. She had no male traits."
Jan, 64, said that he and his wife had decided not to have children because he had two by his previous marriage and she fooled him by pretending to menstruate, using sanitary towels, "to conceal the truth". "Even during sex, I never noticed anything," he said.
For many years the couple lived a normal family life and Monica, 48, was like a "big sister" to his children until their marriage started to come under strain when she got a new full-time job.
"Monica began to change very much," he said.
"My oldest son saw her sometimes at a nightclub. She began to wear very flashy clothes, those ultra-short skirts or tiny tops, so her abdomen was completely exposed."
Finally rumours began to surface and after Jan found "amorous messages" from other men on her computer, he confronted her in a violent row that led to the police being called.
"A friend told me that he had heard that Monica was actually a sex-changed man. I could not believe it. My son heard similar rumors," he said.
"I pushed her against the wall and said: Now I know the truth. Are you a man? She then announced that she was born as a boy and that she had been operated on. She was now a woman, and so she did not need to tell me about her past as a man. My world collapsed. That evening came to blows. The police came."
Jan, who is undergoing psychiatric treatment following the discovery, has started legal proceedings to have the marriage annulled but the Belgian courts have so far refused to allow him to turn her out of the family home.
"That person has deliberately deceived him for years, even scammed. Presumably she has also forged documents used here to get a residence permit. The children, who for years have lived with her, are devastated," said his Liliane Verjauw, his lawyer.
