kenniy: lots of people have been refused with reasons like 'not a bonafide student'.. thats the reason its advised to put proof of degree..bro, the sentence "why do u need to put ur official transcript and degree certificate.?" is a rhetorical question. am not saying he shouldn't include his proof of degree. all am saying is, if degree certificate and official transcript are included in his file, he doesn't need to include his o level. but he can also include it since is not gonna take anytin away from him. |
seedgie: Olevel is part of the requirement. If is not why do they ask apllicants to send cratch card for validation. As per ur DOB an affidavit will resolve ito levels is only required for undergraduate students, but u can still include it in ur file if u want to. so many people have gotten their trvs without including their o level certificate. why do u need to put ur official transcript and degree certificate.? is just like saying someone going for undergraduate should include his/her first school leaving certificate. |
earthgreeners: Where is freshdude, vooz and other Fall of 2013 applicants...we are like next on the show..boss i dey oo...i just dey lowkey they observe this CDHC moves. dont worry we will ginger up this thread very soon, make them share trvs for our winter applicants finish. how far ur applications, any response from the schools. |

Rapuziaokwu: "Contact the visa application center for further instructions. Ur attention is needed at the earliest". This is what a saw just now as I tracked my application. Can someone explain?medicals.....congrats ![]() |
@nivax is on point, please u guyz should stay away from top schools like plague. they keep underestimating our ability to perform. they are after gurus from other developed countries that have similar academic standard with them .. dont waste ur money applying to a top school cause is your dream university. sometimes they wont even reply u mails if they see ur not what they are looking for . |
earthgreeners: @Mercylicoius, xtus, freshdude, domma, niv, et allis definitly gonna get u an admission, is high enough. but i dont really know the criterias for gettin funding, it differs from schools and is very limited. since u already have a potential supervisor, i think ur on the safe side...just dey soft am dey go ![]() |
dommakavelli: I actually wanted a course based program because I heard that it's difficult to get a research based course but i don't know if i can secure an admission on my proposed coursed with course based route.i think every department has room for both course based and research based program in the courses they offer. except they tell u specifically, that is only a research based, or course based program. which will be written specifically on their website. try and get in touch with regina before u pay ur application fee, so u will be sure of the one to apply for before applying. |
dommakavelli: Hello, have u written, or have you started writing a paper on the sample topics provided by regina as requirement for getting admission into this course?? 3.83/4 or 3.83/5?? have u secured a supervisor, or established any kinda rapport with the department.?? |
Goldie20: OMG Well I Guess No One Wants To Answer My Question.. Guess I will Just Have To Go With What My School Suggestwhat was your question...and what did ur school suggest?. can u give a recap of ur previous post, so ppl that didnt see can deliberate on it. ![]() |
cris83: Ok, I wanted to find out, since am going in for post graduate diploma, but can I write GRE der yl also doing my program, so I can ease my transition into an msc thesis-based program after my 1year PGD?sure. u can always write and re-write it any time ur ready..especially in developed countries where is written on weekly intervals. |
cris83: @freshdude, can somene stll apply for course-based programs without GRE?..although am a 2:2 holder, I want to go for PGD.yes u can. GRE is not required as pre-requisite for most canadian schools. they are gonna admit u without GRE. but i always advice graduate students to write to write GRE. if ur GRE result is good, it can do wonders for you in terms of funding. |
earthgreeners: ^@freshdude, I applied to 3 universities, all research based courses..... Even the course based programs are competitive.....3 is cool..one is definitely gonna give u admission. always let them know that ur willing to go for course based masters if the slot for research is few and competitive. when u get to canada u can always purse ur dreams. |
mercylicious: @ earth greeners.u couldn't have said it any better, u can imagine applying to a school that has 20 slots a year for over 500 applications that come to the university every session for just one department. no be only us wan go canada enough europeans asians + other africans wan go the promised land..this makes admission into canadian schools very competitive, especially the top schools. before u pay ur application fee. try and hurstle potential supervisor. ur supervisor can can help u follow up ur application. make sure u have a lil bit of communication with you HOD. e-mail him/her if he/she is busy, tell him/her to direct you to someone that u can talk to concerning the school, make sure u tell them your cgpa and ur gre/gmat score and any other stuff u feel can boost ur chances before applying. some schools will not want to tell not to apply cause they need your application fee. but most school will tell u were u stand. they will even tell you not to waste your application fee if they see your chance is slim. if ur chance of getting admission is slim for research based masters, apply for course based. when u get to canada u can always switch. if ur dream school is vey competitive, apply to a less competitive school when u get to canada, u can always transfer. try and spread out ur applications as much as possible, except ur very sure the school ur applying to is going to give u admission. that means u have communicated with the school, u have a supervisor, u have a very good result. u wrote a mind killing motivational letter. and ur GRE/gmat score is on point. remember some skools accept application for only fall semester for master (depends on the course). so if they dont give u admission for fall 2013, na him be say na fall 2014 u fit reapply . so try and spread out ur application before u enter one chance for their hand. |
mehn august applicants is time oo...am having goose pimples already. @TRV kindly list the documents u submitted, when were u called for medicals? and u made mention of tuition fees, have u paid ur fees already.?? |
Fhemmmy: What kinda info do u need?general info concerning thunder bay, cost of living..job availability and the universities quality.. |

lillaowow: Awwwww.......how far u don track today, any good news?? |
adim02: thanks once again i plans for Human Resources Management. Please you can list some university for me.I hope if my head should write leave of absence should be granted by CDHC.3 is there any master prog.in canada that can accept 2.2.thanksbro admission into canadian university is very competitive, as in highly competitive. can u imagine a Canadian university telling me they only offer admission to top 300 universities according to a bibliographic database dedicated to my department, that they have exceeded their quota for the year even with my high cgpa...this school am talking about is not among top 10 universities in canada oo. please dont waste 100 dollars on application fee in a uni ur not sure of admission do ur research before applying to any school. |
@dosunmu matilda how long did it take them to reach a decision on your admission, were u considered for funding/research assistantship? |
nivax21: @freshdude.I secured a supervisor before applying o.university of British Columbia taught me a lessonhow long did it take them to reach a decision on your admission, were u considered for funding/research assistantship? |
nivax21: Nawaooh..this visa/medical stuff is taking longer than I expected o!.submitted my application on the 12th of September and my classes start on the 7th of January..got admitted in the university of ottawa(MASc Chemical Engineering).höping and praying for good news for all of us this week!bro how long did it take ottawa to reach a decision on ur application.?? were u able to secure a supervisor before you were admitted.? also were u considered for funding/graduate assitantship? |
@joe980 lolz @blink, yes funding is schorlarship. most masters students are consider for funding when they apply for admission. for some skools u have to apply for funding separately. |
cause this denial spree is too appalling.
