Una don start again. Why will they deny someone visa cause the person smokes cannabis.? Like say we no know wetin the medicals dey for. Is for diseases like HIV and hepatitis B, and some other cancerous diseases. If u like smoke from now till world end, that one no fit deny u visa. Na because u never reach canada see the kind smoke them they smoke for there, na him make u feel say if person be smoker him fit no get trv.

earthgreeners: @all, I didnt submit Affidavit of support, I only used letter of sponsorship from my sponsors.... I submitted based on the checklist.. hope no ishhhh_

I didn't submit that either. No qualms. Them get so many tins wey ppl dey talk for here wey I no submit self. I just kept ma app simple according to the checklist. No affida, no statement of intent. Didn't see those ish on the checklist, ma file was already bulky. Aint tryna make it too voluminous.

Keep the medical news coming yall. Omo mehn. I just dey track anyhow to check If them don tell me to go for medicals. See me wey submit last week. Kai cdhc go really share trv for team fall this year.

Just checked the list of approved banks. Gtb was on it. The list is kinda old sha. some banks there have gone into extinction.

onuawuchi: Walk into any branch of UBA and tell them you want to raise a draft of N19500 in favour of THE DEPUTY HIGH COMMISSIONER OF CANADA; that is if you don't maintain an account with any of the banks mentioned on their website. Avoid banks that are not listed on their website(e.g Eco, Access etc) cos they'll refuse ur draft. Good luck with your submission.

What of gtb bank.? That's the bank I use.

onuawuchi: I keep asking this question in this forum and people are always reluctant answering me. Those the visa application centre in Nigeria have a cut off date for application acceptance. If true, when is it. Cos my submission is looking at next week

yeah waterloo admits students frm 9ja, but is a competitive skool i will advice u apply to a uni that has high intake of nigerians, and before u apply try talking with their graduate coordinator or something so they will tell your chances

is on the checklist, but i doubt the necessity! since i used my uni transcript and degree to get admission and grad assitantship, shouldn't it be ideal i limit my application to only the necessary?

@house, where is vac located in lagos? can i submit my statement of result with a waec scratch card, in the absence of my original waec? am going for graduate studies and i have my original transcript and degree in my application

was filling the online application, and i was asked if i intend working off campus in canada. i hope if i say yes is not gonna have any negative implication on my application.

tuition is about 16k for a year (3 semesters), but living expense is a personal something. differs from people but i think its should be btwn 5k-8k..i still never understand the 3 semester stuff. thought its 2 semester in a year. but on the website, the tuition fee is written as 5,534 cad dollars per semester.

onuawuchi: Evaluate my profile and see if okay for visa application submission. I was given admission to the MA program in Economics at lakehead University. My sponsor is my eldest half sister. The list below are some of the supporting documents I've provided to back up my application.

i was also admitted to the same skool to study Economics too(MA)...were u given any funding along side ur admission letter.?? i plan submitting my application soon, but am using the online route tho. hopefully we go jam for thunder bay.!

house, my dads personal account dont have much inflow and outflow of funds. most of his transactions are done wit his company account, i want him to use his personal account, but i dont want him to lodge money in his personal account just for visa purpose. he is suggesting i use his company account as is one signatory, and my name is listed as a major shareholder. The company has 3 shareholders that funded it in the beginning. him wit 50% me and my mum wit 25% each. kinda perplexed.

GboyegaD: I am using the online application however, I am not applying from Nigeria so it makes it difficult for me to advise buy I have a friend in Nigeria attending Concordia and that is what he is also using. He is almost done with the application and he is only left with making his application payment.

good to hear someone is trying that route...when filling the forms required for the visa application. which of these forms are u supposed to fill. application for temporal resident visa, or application for study permit made outside of canada. or both.?

i got a graduate assistanship worth 4,700 dollars every semester simultaneously with my admission letter. am still thinking if i should include it to my application cause i have to work for the school 10hrs a week to earn the money. see what CDHC say about scholarship. "Scholarships or any financial assistance from the school or award from a government or other funding agency must be presented on official letter stating the full amount of the award, its duration and any governing
conditions. There must also be evidence a Scholarship Program exists."
but technically, this is not a scholarship cause am working for the skool for my money. i dont want them thinking i cant survive without stipends from the skool in my application, that's why am still indifferent about adding my assitanstship letter. house i need ur thought on this.
