It's even worse here besides the size of the nation, the number of illiterates here is way more outrageous (mostly blacks and Mexicans). If you don't live here, you'll never know. Don't be deceived by what you see in the movies. Even Rick Perry will readily govern Nigeria well Again, I say... Nigeria lacks focus.

nickusoro: Okay. First off, I really would've ignored this post but it won't be right if I let a few points go by just like that?
OP, when you talk of GEJ being "Powerful" , how do you mean? Is this mere sarcasm or what? Well whatever it is, before you rate GEJ's strength and prowess, take A good look at his counterparts.
Yes, I know that the insurgency has crippled the nation, particularly the northern economy but I don't think the challenge GEJ is facing as current president is anything close to what Obama is facing (and please this is based on their individual). The Republicans have done everything possible to wreck Obama's administration but to no avail. Have it in mind that Nigeria is just as big as the state if Texas alone, yet governing it is such an impossible task for the president. Another admirable example of a "Powerful" leader is the Jordanian. What more can I say? This is deeper than it seems. Nigeria lacks focus which is the foundation of any great economy. Simple truth

The economist did their homework and found out that Nigerias economy is growing despite GEJ not because of his corrupt and clueless transformation that if anything is sucking the economy dry. Nigeria loses $12Billion per year for the last 6 years under GEJ through crude oil bunkering meanwhile GEJ had plunged the same country in massive debts.

Am quite disappointment that a respected medium of mass media such as the Economist can allow an ill researched article and obviously sponsored to find its way here. That been said, of the two alternatives, the incumbent President still remains the best of alternatives. While Gen Buhari and his god fathers (Tinubu, Atiku and Ameachi - the most corrupt Nigerians)channeled looted funds to sponsoring a team of propagandist iconography to spread falsehoods in an attempt to discredit or overshadow the giant strides achieved by a true leader. While they are busy with this shameful act, our amiable President Goodluck Jonathan and his team are busy making undeniable landmark achievements.
They say the President does not deserve to be re-elected, yet the very rail transportation that he Buhari cancelled in 1983 has been totally overhauled and now the Nigerian hoi pollois have easy access to interstate and intercity movements.
Living in self denial, they still insist that GEJ is clueless, yet he transformed the Ore-Benin Road, what used to be a death trap due to corruption and neglect for many years by PTF under Buhari and by Obj as supreme ruler to a delight-some road to many Nigerians
They say he is corrupt, yet he gave credence and institutionalized anti-corruption agencies in Nigeria and ended decades of corruption in fertilizer and seed distribution which ended with direct access by farmers, thereby saving the government over N25Billiom
He is clueless yet under his leadership Nigeria’s food import bill reduced from N1.1 Trillion to N648Billion, placing the country firmly on the path to food self-sufficiency
Buhari on the other hand has been know from records, antecedents to be sympathetic to the cause of Boko Haram. He did vehemently criticize the government on clamping down on Boko Haram
Unlike Buhari who is a northern elite and did absolutely nothing for the Almajiris in the northern part of Nigeria, GEJ ensured that the Almajiris had their dreams turned into reality. In order to reduce the 10.5million school drop-out in the country, a number of special intervention programmes such as the Almajiri Education, the Girl-Child Education and Back-to-school were initiated.
Of the two alternatives, GEJ is the better in all ways and deserves to be re-elected |

Family › Re: Is My Wife A User?? - Advice Please by freshdude99(m): 2:36pm On Jan 20, 2015 |
MrNiceGuy79: I am 37 years old. We got married 6 years ago and had two children. I come from a well off family so life wasn't difficult. I have always been able to get money from handouts from my family as well as some rental properties that I inherited. As a wedding gift my parents bought us a house that is now valued at about 180m Naira. To be honest, I haven't really been working very hard to chart my own financial path and I don't really know why. I have no motivation to do business, start any business or even work in the family business. I've started to believe it is because the person who is supposed to be supporting me the most, is always putting me down. Any time that I come up with a new business idea she crushes my dreams, telling me how bad that idea is. My father passed away a few years ago and everytime I tell my wife I have gone to do business with my mum, or I want to buy a piece of land with my mother and brother, she gets upset. Now here comes the abuse: when we argue and she tells me to get out of the house, I refuse and tell her its my house. She quickly replies "No it's your mothers house" "A real man works hard and struggles to make it" I have been called all types of names e.g. 'youre lazy" "you're not a good dad (mind you she's always screaming and beating on my son)" "you're not a real man", "Bleep is more of a man than you", etc. I got tired of all that so I decided to empower her, so a couple of years ago, I sold a piece of land worth 20 million Naira and gave her 10 to start a business. I spent my 10 on debts, paying bills, running the house etc. That 10 million has spawned 3 other businesses on her part while I am still stuck with no business of my own. She has never shared or offered to share any profits of those businesses with me, which is ok by me as I really don't need her money. I am still called all types of names, despite the fact that I pay all the house bills, school fees, electricity, DSTV etc. She pays for nothing. When she shops for items from the supermarket, vegetable market etc, she will give me a detailed bill of what she has spent and I HAVE TO REFUND. Refund? we are all eating the food, I don't ask for help every month, and I have to refund? She constantly reminds me that is what a man is supposed to do, pay all the bills in the house, and that I get my money for free while she has to work hard for it. But my question is, do I need this treatment? am I too nice? Please help. Still searching for the right adjective to describe this f**kr |
