I have experienced something similar. On New Year's eve, the pastor of a Redeemed church in London (Catford branch) said that people should give £500 to secure their new year gigantic blessings. He said "it is not compulsory oo". Then he said that he had to really really beg God to allow people give lower, £200, £100 and I think £50. Many people came out, some to give, others to collect envelopes which he blessed. I was stunned. A whole Redeemed church!
