Christianity EtcRe: HELP! My Prayers Work On People Than Myself... by freshness2020: 8:56pm On Dec 16, 2014
koife:
I have noticed with a bit of pains that prayer works
on people and not me!

I have had the opportunity to pray and intercede for
people and it comes out positive, but one surprising
fact
is that I hardly get answers when I pray for
myself...

It all started during my degree years; I will teach and even help people during examination but often time their result comes out better than mine.

Fast forward to 2days ago. I prayed for someone who was
koboless, to have a surprise gift to the tune of
hundred
of thousands for a project she scrambled for. Less
than 56 hours later, she got it.

I personally dropped someone's CV to be considered for
bank job and less than 20hours letter the person
received a call for interview.

And today I prayed and
my kid sis was given a visa....where as I have tried
severally without succeeding.

This, amongst other
bizzare
experiences have become a cause for concern.

Matured advice only please!
Am sorry about that... But I believe God will see ♈όϋ through soonest! But in the main time I want ♈όϋ to intercede for me for a Job pleaaaase!

PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Has No Respect For Law – Kashamu by freshness2020(op): 8:09am On Dec 16, 2014
temitemi1:
Obasanjo sees himself far above Nigerian law but there's one law he can never be above and this law is d of GOD... GEJ till 2019!!!
It's just so bad!
He (obasanjo) is just an Hypocrite! So controversial and misleading!
PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Has No Respect For Law – Kashamu by freshness2020(op): 5:29am On Dec 16, 2014
PoliticsObasanjo Has No Respect For Law – Kashamu by freshness2020(op): 5:29am On Dec 16, 2014
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),
Prince Buruji Kashamu, has described former
President Olusegun Obasanjo as one who does not
have respect for the laws. In a statement issued
yesterday, Kashamu said Obasanjo’s ‘disobedience’
of the court’s order not to launch his (Obasanjo’s)
controversial autobiography, “My Watch”, was an
indication that he did not have respect for the rule of
law.
Kashamu, who is having a running battle with the
former president, got a court injunction, restraining
him (Obasanjo) from launching his autobiography in
which the former was severely criticized by the latter.
Following the launch of My Watch, the court had
ordered that the book be confisticated and further
publication be stopped.
The statement reads in part: “While I would not
discuss the subject matter, which is already before
the court, it is interesting to read Chief Obasanjo
recanting after the court ordered him to show why he
should not be punished for contempt of the court
within 21 days. Perhaps, he had realised the
implications of his actions and the far-reaching
effects of the renewed court order. Among others, he
said, contrary to the impression created by the
media, he could not “dare or confront the judge or
the judiciary”. He went on to say he was a law-
abiding citizen who will not “dare” a judge or
knowingly flout an order of a court of competent
jurisdiction.
“But the truth is: his denial flies in the face of
obvious facts. Chief Obasanjo dedicated a good
portion of the public presentation to upbraiding the
judge and asked that the upright judicial officer be
sanctioned for doing his job. Now, if he did not know
about the existence of the order, why did he take
time out to publicly deride the order and the judge?
“Again, Chief Obasanjo’s conduct in and out of office
does not support his claim of being a law-abiding
citizen. It is on record that while in office as a
democratically-elected president, he disobeyed court
judgments, even those of the Supreme Court, with
reckless abandon. Apart from his disregard for many
of the apex court’s decisions in respect of his deputy,
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, he stubbornly withheld the
allocations due to local governments in Lagos State
until he left office in spite of a Supreme Court
judgment to release the funds. Then, there was his
interpretation of the apex court’s verdict on onshore/
offshore dichotomy suit, among others.
“Put succinctly, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo’s launch of
his discredited book in spite of the court order
confirmed his knack for lawlessness and
arbitrariness. Everybody knows that good
governance is based on the Rule of Law, due process
and respect for constituted authority. It beats my
imagination that this man can be sermonising about
good governance when he shamelessly advertises all
the elements of bad governance. He is bad
governance personified. Chief Obasanjo is the worst
advertisement for the product he is trying to sell –
good governance. He has shown that he does not
have respect for the judiciary, and that impunity is
his second nature.
“By his unruly conduct, Chief Obasanjo has shown for
the umpteenth time that he is indecent and
uncivilised. Certainly, President Goodluck Jonathan
and his predecessor, the late President Umaru Musa
Yar’Adua and others he criticised in the controversial
book are made of a sterner stuff than him. They are
true democrats and gentlemen to the core. If they
were in his shoes, I wager that they would not have
acted in total disregard of the valid and subsisting
orders of the court,” Kashamu said.

PoliticsAPC Leaders Fail To Agree On Buhari’s Runningmate by freshness2020(op): 5:20am On Dec 16, 2014
A marathon meeting by the leaders of the All
Progressives Congress ended in the early hours of
Tuesday(today) without a consensus on the running
mate for the party’s presidential candidate, Maj.Gen.
Muhammadu Buhari.
Unlike the national convention/ primary which
produced Buhari on Thursday without much rancour,
the meeting which started at about 10.30pm on
Wednesday and ended at about 1.58am on Tuesday
was said to have been characterised by intense
horse-trading.
Different caucuses of the APC had started a series of
meetings which culminated in a larger one that had
all the party’s governors and leaders in attendance.
The National leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola
Tinubu, did not attend the enlarged caucus meeting.
Before the enlarged meeting which held at the Rivers
State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, rose,
former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and Imo State
Governor Rochas Okorocha had left.
They did not return as of 12. 50am when Buhari and
some other participants, including seven governors,
started filing out of the lodge.
Although the reason for their action could not be
ascertained, The PUNCH learnt that the National
Working Committee of the party would ratify one of
the shortlisted vice-presidential aspirants on
Tuesday.
The aspirants being considered are Governors Rotimi
Amaechi(Rivers), Babatunde Fashola(Lagos), Adams
Oshiomhole(Edo) and a former Lagos State
Commissioner for Justice, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
Others whose names came up were former governors
Dr. Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti State), former Governor
Olagunsoye Oyinlola (Osun State) and former
governor Adeniyi Adebayo (Ekiti State)
A seven-member committee headed by Chief Tony
Momoh was set up to prune down the number of
aspirants. It has representatives from each zone of
the country.
They include Chief Bisi Akande (South-West), Senator
Chris Ngige (South-East), Senator Danjuma Goje
(North-East), Chief Audu Ogbe (North-Central), Chief
Sam Jaja (South-South) and Governor Yari Abubakar
(North-West).
The enlarged meeting will reconvene by 12pm today.
The caucus arrived at two major decisions which
included the rejection of Muslim-Muslim ticket.
It was gathered that Abubakar, Okorocha,
Kwankwaso and Nda-Isiah would lend their voices to
the choice of the vice-presidential candidate. This
would be followed up by input from Buhari.
One of the governors, who attended the meeting
said, “We are still meeting. It is not as easy as you
see it. We are still meeting.”
Another leader of the party also confirmed the
stalemate, saying “We have not picked anybody yet.”
He explained that the NWC which would meet on
Tuesday(today) was expected to “ratify whoever is
picked if there’s a stalemate tonight(Monday). “
Earlier on Monday, another top ranking member of
the APC privy to the meeting said, “The meeting is
going on now to draw up the general principles of
(the) choice.
“It has been agreed that no Muslim/ Muslim ticket.
The choice is also not restricted to the South-West;
any zone in the South could produce our candidate’s
running mate.”
The APC chieftain said the governors and Tinubu,
were engaged in serious calculations about the
viability of aspirants being proposed.
The meeting had in attendance, the party’s National
Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun; the National
Secretary, Mai Malabuni; ex-Minister of the FCT, Nasir
el-Rufai as well as Governors Rauf Aregbesola (Osun),
Oshiomhole (Edo) and Yari.
Others were Governors Babatunde Fashiola (Lagos),
Magatakarda Wamakko (Sokoto), Ibrahim Geidam
(Yobe), Kashim Shettima (Borno), Senators Bukar
Abba Ibrahim, Atiku Bagudu, Chris Ngige and Ahmed
Sani.
Also in attendance were the party’s national publicity
secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed and a former
presidential aspirant, Sam Nda- Isaiah.
Abubakar and Okorocha left the meeting midway and
were yet to return as at the time of the time
participants starting filing out of the lodge.
When contacted, Mohammed said, “We are still
consulting.”
