Mrr OP, am not sure you are in Nigeria. Firstly what is Nigeria manufacturing?, or do you call bolting together imported parts manufacturing? See of what use is the alleged booming economy if its only the top brass that share the profits. My brother people are suffering, I don't have my facts here with me but untill corruption ceases, then all these development you are trumpeting are useless to the average Nigerian. We need a firm president that is knowledgeable, not one that just assigns contract from aso rock and sends his wife to shed crocodile tears. My brother Jonathan has tried, let him rest, or else he will just kill himself with things he knows next to nothing about. |
Its of certainty that many supporters of GEJ feel his name is of golden ethos in the Nigerian political clime. However I beg to differ as I will prove in this writeup. First on my mind is the knotty issue of insurgency. I suspect he could have done better if he was only a little bit firm, secondly Jonathans tenure has condoned a system of unbridled corruption. Example is the case of missing 20billion, his efforts to curb the excesses of petroleum deregulation is at best laughable, afterall all the noise making from the first of january of that fateful year has led to almost no convictions. The list is on and on. But one thing I respect my dear president for is his efforts to conduct peaceful elections. Anti-Jonathanians may regard his tenure as a failure, but it is obvious he has not got the political rascality of Governor fayose or the over bearing tendencies of President Obansanjo. He has been able to conduct peaceful elections without any form of interventions that I know of, this I regard as his only opportunity to write his name in gold and be forever remembered. Take a clue from Major-general Buhari. He is regarded a being too religious and harsh during his previous tenure, but no one can label him as corrupt. that's his selling point. Given the Next few weeks Jonathan cannot change Nigeria's economy, neither can he curb corruption nor end insurgency. He can however still create a suitable environment to conduct free and fair elections and ultimately abide by its result, And if Nigerians decline him, he can be rest assured that his name is in the sands of time as Nigerian's first ever president to conduct free and fair elections. |
waternogeteneny:Hello sir, in response to your comment, I feel it is right I clarify some issues. First, a professor in the Nigerian education secor, earns according to punch, $4, 629 per month. $1,099.00 to $2,499.00 The latest version of the computer on his desk cost a maximum of $2,499.00. Now are you Saying he can't afford $2,499.00 on a computer?, especially when you consider the fact that most professors regard their federal salaries as just change compared to what they earn from their external engagements.. Sir, I will propose you check on facts before making unfair, immature and irrational arguments on a public platform like Nairaland. I rest my case. |
I don't think goodluck can fight corruption, the man is too weak, he cant can't even implement recommendations on corruption probes, talkless of rid a whole country like Nigeria of corruption. Let's face it, Buhari is the right choice, jOnathan is still clueless |
I hear say "she just lost her virginity recently". Hhmm,a dude somewhere in Ekiti will be shaking |

Nice one mister, kudos for your courage. However I have questions for u. First, are u a citizen of that country? Second have u considered that your career advancement might be restricted since I suspect you are not a citizen. On reconsideration, I think thEy ought to even make u a citizen. Anyways, gOod luCk, and try to pack enough jazz go oohh. |
Wily,Wily:You would be its first patient |
Firstly, the proposed amnesty to bokoharam members is kinda tactical, that is if we eventually get to know them. Do u think the Ibos who lost over 80 people to this wickedness won't retaliate when they identify them?.. Secondly, satelite images show more houses were burnt and probably more people dead as againt the official figure of "ONLY"63?. My reasoning tells me that such a operation by the Nigerian military, must have been allowed by its top commanders. Forget the hullaballo of setting up investigations. The government needs not lie to us. Its welcome to me, at least the miltary has got some teeth. However, if jonathan is really sincere that he doesn't know anything about the operation, Who now controls the military? |
Is this actually worth it? Those in second photo, how do they cope with the noise pollution fron the trains horn?
|
Bosses, I intend travelling to canada for my masters degree(architeCture), however I am hoping to graduate next year august, with a 2.1, God willing. What are my prospects? When should I apply? What are the financial requirements. And can I skip nysc service?, since I probably would still be under 30 when am through. |
Hey! Have u guys forgotten we've got a 27 year old here? She wan die a virgin? |
I guess she is desperate for recognition. |
First of all, even as much as I hate to comment on this OGAONTOP phenomenom, it goes without saying that, we should all feel embarassed as Nigerians. What sort of image do u think this kind of activity is potraying our already well worn and tarnished image. Bad grammar is bad enough, making it a talking point is worse.I blame the channels staff, such a high level of unproffessionalism is sickening. Why can't the lady call for a break upon realizing he was unable to respond properly. As a citizen of Nigeria, this is painful, utterly disrespectful and downright unfortunate that a national T.V could be this unpatriotic. I expect a full apology from the channels crew from being impolite. Why the hell would you upload such if not for the sake of cheap publicity. I won't be suprised if those channels interviwers don't make it past their present career heights.... PEACE TO Y'all |
