As a Catholic Christian, I don’t trust juju but rather I say prayer to the Angel of Battle, Arch Angel Michael, the commander of the Armies of God in Heaven. My friend went to this job interview in Lagos and after passing through all the steps. The manager told him that his results were good but that they don't employ Igbo people in the organization because of the nasty experience they once had with an igbo employee. My experience: The Lady asked me my tribe, I said I am Igala. She replied that "She knows how my people are".

Me I was wondering maybe the boyfriend who broke her heart from Igala or her landlord or whosoever.

What surprised me the most what the effontry to not only ask, but to give her silly feedback openly, which alrwady signalled a red flag of me even joining them. Lo and behold, they didn't give me the offer.

This happened at ILUPEJU, LAGOS. The Lady is TOLU and the Organisation is THISTLE PRAXIS. I hope some bosses train their people to learn to put sentiments aside when sourcing for talents!
I hope someone else would not suffer bitterly having folks like that in positions.

Lastly I think it is best that beyond education, we should learn and try to travel. Get to know other ethnicities. Most of my Igbo and Yoruba friends still do NOT clearly understand the geo-cultural landscape in Middlebelt (so called North Central). This knowledge is really important and helpful beyond the classroom education.

So early last week, i purchased a ROYAL 1.5 HP (R410) Brand New AC from SIMS Nigeria Ltd.

The AC cannot even make my small sitting room cold not to mention cooling reaching the dinning table section.

I have raised complaint and they brought a technicial to come check. Baba said the AC is working perfectly. You can imagine!!?

I insisted that the AC does not cool like other ACs i know. At least a 1.5HP is meant to be super chilling. This never does.

SIMS Nigeria Ltd said another technician will come tomorrow, Thursday to check it again - i know it will be the same feedback- so PLEASE ADVICE ME. Because i can't just allow my over 100k go down the drain.

I am considering involving the Police, the FCCPC, dismantling this AC and returning it on Thursday.

Please ADVICE ME, guys!!

Before reading: Be guided that this short write up is my personal worries and concern and I don't mean to instigate anything into anyone.

I only intend to get sincere feedback from Well-Exposed, Well Travelled and Highly Educated (Minority) Muslims like me.


Coming from a minority ethnic group that practices Islam, I see that I am more closer to the Yoruba's than their counterpart (The Hausas) but what baffles me is that ever since I have been a child, the statusquo and attitude remains THE SAME!!!! And no improvement and this is what is being passed on to their children (even children whom are we educated).

My concerns are;

1? Why is it that these people pretend a lot in their dealings??
(When they go to mosque, it's fake. What's they greet, smile, associate with Muslims whom are not from their tribe. The bottom line bitter truth is that Yoruba Muslims are wholely guided by their culture. I am fine with this, and even enjoy their dealings in the academic space but my worry is... WHY THE "INHERITED PRETENTIOUS LIFESYTLE"

2. Why is it that Muslims (in general) "struggle" to marry across tribes most especially in Nigeria?
Is it a curse? Kilode!!! No sincere unity.
In my estimation, this is a measure of not only insecurities but their level of exhibition of true love.

I have more Christian friends and associates and I must be very sincere to you, I am more improved with their approach to many things, including their sincere embrace of unity and diversity amongst all.

By their statement and comments, you shall know them. From the classroom to the office to the neighborhood, they are KINGPINS in causing atrocities and division all in the name of religion.

It depends on how strong your walk with Christ Jesus is. Religion is not just a belief. It is a way of life or a way of living. The Islamic faith permits a man to marry up to 4 wives. In the western world, what he is doing would have been considered harrassment and he could go to jail for that. However, in Nigeria, anything and everything goes.
