gidgiddy: Olodo. That rubbish does not cede sovereignty of the lower Niger to you in Biafra. The FG can designate Lagos port for you and a dry port in Asaba as your only access. Will you dictate to another nation how to utilize their resource ? You no well. 2 Likes |
Politics / Re: Why SE Must Build A Seaport Now by FSBoperator: 10:03am On Jun 30, 2023 |
I laff. Sea port ? You mean inland port utilizing the rivers that flow into the Niger Delta estuary . Now let me school you why Onistha port remains moribund For start you will need to dredge the shallow and silt filled rivers you intend to use. This has been proposed but dropped owing to two major reasons : 1. No be beans to dredge the rivers . The rivers are inundated yearly with high volumes of silt . It will not be cost effective to continuously dredge these rivers as heavy silt build up is an annual occurrence during the rainy season. Them there are seasonal tide and water levels to consider which will see most of the river unnavigable during the dry season owning to low water levels . Even Calabar port is heavily restricted owning to its location in the Calabar marina harbour that can only manage shallow berth vessels thereby restricting the volume and types of vessels it can handle. The Calabar channel is relatively very wide but most of it isn't navigable owing to high silt deposit . Only a very narrow section at the middle is navigable and it is restricted to lighter and shallow berth vessels. Tidal swings also limit its use even at its deepest end as the tides move in and out. It is for this reason the FG in partnership with Cross River state is constructing a deep sea port in Duke Town as Calabar harbour that is even wider and deeper than any of your proposed river routes is not efficient in modern trade. 2. Resistance by Niger Delta states to this misadventure based on the very potent threat of sea water encroachment caused by such dredging is what has stalled the dredging in the first place. 3. Moving heavy container ships and oil tankers deep along these shallow river routes pose a future environmental disaster and blockade of inland ports if any of them run aground . 4. Your states have no powers nor resources to carry out such a project as it cuts across several states with waterways and shorelines along the route firmly in control of the Niger Delta states. Are you going to forcibly dredge another man's backyard without his consent ? 5. The Federal govt has the final say on international shipping lanes within her territory . If the office of the Nigerian Security Adviser refuses to allow new shipping routes there is nothing you can do about it as international vessels will not be allowed access through these water ways. Go school Una no go gree. 23 Likes 6 Shares |

The level of illiteracy and arrogance combined in this thread is so tiring. Let me school you ignoramuses. 1. Assuming the stupidity of Gidgiddy to be correct where he stated but did not quote a non existing UN charter that guarantees every nation access to the sea. For starts , the Nigerian govt that has sovereignty over her coast and territorial waters will be the one to decide from which of their ports your goods pass through. You can not dictate to someone else how to utilize his resources in a diplomatic negotiation. If Nigeria insist that all cargo to and fro Biafra pass through Lagos port with a dry dock at Asaba crossing, then there is no way they will allow ships free access through their territory using the river route to your Biafran ports in places like Onistha . 2. If Nigeria agrees to you using these designated river routes, it will be heavily restricted to the kind of vessels that can pass through unless the rivers are dredged. Now this is where the wahala will start because those in the lower Niger Delta will resist this as they have been doing since it was first proposed in the late 90s over concerns of sea water encroachment into fresh water streams and loss of shoreline settlements along these streams. Following on 2 above, the Nigerian govt can decide what kind of cargo can pass through these routes. For example you want to start drilling your oil for exports, the Nigerian govt can deny heavy tankers access through these rivers on environmental grounds and force you to pipe the oil and gas through a joint trans national pipeline from where the Nigerian govt will get a hefty commission. So all you ignoramuses believing the highly deluded and greater ignoramus, gidgiddy need to go back and understand what you are discussing here. Idiots 3 Likes |

gidgiddy: You think because a river flows through your end into another man's backyard, that gives you right to his coastal front? You are really an imbe. Your Ohaneze successfully lobbied for dry ports in Enugu for a reason. The dry port in Enugu that is located in Emene by the Airport was created so that Enugu can partake in customs duty . Cargo containers are sent directly to the dry port in sealed containers that are cleared at this port so that Enugu can benefit from revenue from imports. You guys think that if you get your Biafra , you will be allocated a coastal front in one of the coastal communities in the Delta ? Are you seriously this stupid ? The non existing UN charter you did not quite that you stated gives every nation on earth unfettered access to the sea does not in anywhere supplant sovereignty from one nation to another. Rather it preached on cooperation along diplomatic agreements. Why then is Niger Republic not having thoroughfare through Nigeria to our coast ? You dunce. The river that drains into the Niger Delta estuary into the ocean has been clearly demarcated along state boundaries . If you get your Biafra today, it will end at the point that river flows into the Niger Delta region. 4 Likes 1 Share |
Nairaland / General / Re: What Exactly Is The Point Of All These? by FSBoperator: 9:15am On Jun 30, 2023 |
The lack of self preservation in humans is linked to their false denial of the inevitable . The moment most of our psychotic leaders across the globe understand their mortality, that is when this madness will stop and humans will use their time on earth judiciously for all mankind and life forms on our precious earth. But this lack of sense of the inevitable is rooted in those who hold an atheistic view at best or those who know they are condemned to an eternity of suffering like the Satanists that rule this world. A man who engages in selling his soul to the devil knows he is already condemned. His only solace is to make best with the materialism in this world and since they have found out early that wealth does not equate happiness but the total opposite, they have become sadistic in nature and ready minions to the devil who owns their souls. This is not restricted to our own occultic leadership which we suffer immensely from but all across the Judaic western world. Materialism promotes atheism and vice versa. And it is this atheism that Jewish Marxism promotes. Marxism is Judaism which in turn is Satanism. 1 Like |

See as the ode of an OP is now insulting their once darling Solodu for speaking the truth on Obi's heist of Anambra collective wealth. So all those his useless investments could only build a mediocre airfield with no landing aids and warehouse for a terminal building . Did Obi set up a public trust to monitor said investments and guide on managing it ? Answer : Big No! Obi stole that money , invested it in his infidel bank and took the rest to invest in his distillery venture that is now worth far less than its original IPO. Obi is a crook and a thief. Stop blaming Obioma for Obi's gross corruption. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Penguin2: Bola Mohammed owes GEJ for where he is but GEJ owes Bala more for being instrumental in convincing northern senators to follow the constitution and swear GEJ as acting President. Bala got a juicy appointment for his role in the Senate confirming GEJ. From minister he built his political structure to take Bauchii as Governor - a position he still holds. I believe GEJ would have been rooting for Bala at the primaries but you must remember that Bala did step down for Atiku so the insinuation that Bala is opposing Atiku on the behest of GEJ is rubbish. I believe there are several issues why Baoa is now against Atiku to which we are not privy to. What I do know is that Atiku is being forced to commit himself to their demands and from there they will work for his campaign .What these demands are, I don't know The G5 is negotiating with Atiku and by the G5, I mean Bala, Makinde and Wike. The others are follow follow idiots (Ikoeazu and Ortom) . |

Elections are 4 months away but it is safe to predict who will lose and that is Peter Obi and his labour party. For this reason there is no need to wait for the formality of rejecting obi at the polls rather the question to ask is why the vast majority of Nigerians rejected Obi and his Marxist Labour Party. The answer is simple : the DisObidient cretins and the IPOB dunces that make his bulk supporters with their lack of home training and decorum Period. 1 Like |
