Nigerian women (and men, I must add) are the most unfaithful- StudySince these women dont sleep with themselves but with men, that brings Nigerian men into the equation as well, no? |
Nigerian women are most unfaithful in the world – Durex Share This Add to Delicious Share on FriendFeed Digg submit to reddit Tags Channelschannels televisionChannels TVDurexMarriageNewsNigeriaNigeria womenRelationshipresearchStudyunfaithful menUnfaithful women A survey conducted by condom manufacturer, Durex, in which 29,000 people in 36 countries were interviewed has ranked Nigerian women as the most unfaithful in the world. According to the survey, Thailand men are the most unfaithful in the world, with 54 percent of them admitting to cheating on their spouses. South Korea came in second with 34 percent, while Malaysia ranked number three with 33 percent. The survey revealed that the top two countries with cheating women are Nigeria, with 62 percent, and Thailand, 59 percent. 39 percent of Malaysian women also confessed to having betrayed their partners. Russian women came fourth at 33 percent while Singaporeans are fifth at 19 percent. An independent survey also conducted in Africa by AE affirms the fact that Nigeria with a polulation of over 160 million tops the chart for cheating women. Corruption and a general distrust amognst citizens is largely responsible for this. http://www.channelstv.com/home/2012/07/16/nigerian-women-are-most-unfaithful-in-the-world-durex/

I am an affiliate of Abia and I approve this message. |
Have you seen anything like this before, in a civilized world?
|
Mr. Globe:Los Angeles is not the capital of CA, Sacramento is. |
Jarus: Apart from the already mentioned like Onitsha, Aba, Zaria etc let me add:LMAO. A few in Ijebu Ode but not among the top 15. |
dr.shrewd:True. Bonny should be there |
kingoflag: Its always good to know when to tap out; you don't have to wait until your arm has been severed from your shoulders. Remember, you can't hit the mat with your palms if your hand has been broken. She is not different than most Nigerian leaders and citizens: mostly educated illiterates. Read my post carefully to know where I stand on her appointment. Okay? |
Kobojunkie: When I say people need to do a better job OPENING their eyes to what is right in front of them, some will tell me that I am being rude. The article clearly explained there why the Mimiko appointment cannot be compared with the Patience Doodluck appointment and why we should not try to paint it all with the same brush since technically appointments are only illegal if the person being appointed is severely unqualified or unacceptable by applicable rules and regulations. Two years tenure as a Prof, then you are the VC? This must be the most meteoric rise LMAO |
Kobojunkie: I am not an eejit that you offer fluff arguments to. I want details. Since you want to ignore her not doing anything at all the last 12 years, a period longer than she even served, What was her work history from 1989 when she supposedly graduated to 1997/8 when Jonathan was appointed as deputy Governor. How do you mean not doing anything? So you mean staying in the govt house and understudying governance and running all the first lady programs that can now be applied to run a ministry in a small state as Bayelsa is nothing? As far as I remember, Nigerian first ladies (state and federal) have programs that they run. Organizing and managing such programs is experience. You would not know this, I am sure. |
Tolexander: professor mimiko's appointment was base on merit. And also was an acting vc before mimiko came in as governor before his predecessor terminated d appointment based on politics. You dont need coming here to bend two parallel lines to meet.Let's even be comic with you silly point. Patience has been in the state civil service who appointed her. Can you tell me how she is unqualified for the position? |
Kobojunkie: This is a seriously brain-dead arguing from someone who seems devoid of common sense. I cannot believe I am even spending my time on this nonsense. I usually try to stay away from labeling stuff in this way but this has got to be from the pits of senselessness. You do not have to argue you know, doing so make you extremely senseless. |
Why we appointed Mrs. Jonathan as Permanent Secretary – Bayelsa State Government The Bayelsa State Government yesterday explained why the wife of Nigeria incumbent President, Mrs. Dame Patience Jonathan was appointed as permanent secretary in the state. The first lady, who is an indigene of Okirika in River state, got her appointment letter signed by the Head of Civil Service of Bayelsa State, Mrs Gloria Izonfo. A Senior Special Assistant to Governor Dickson on Media and Public Affairs, Mr. Mackson Iworiso said the First Lady got the new promotion due to her long service transferred from the Rivers State Civil Service to the Bayelsa Civil Service. Iworiso described the appointment as routine action in the Civil Service. Also, according to a letter signed by the Head of Civil service said: “By the Constitutional power conferred on the state Governor, Hon. Seriake Dickson, in section 203 sub section 2c, Dame Patience Jonathan and Seventeen others were elevated to the position of Permanent Secretary in the State Civil Service”. Dame Jonathan obtained the National Certificate of Education (NCE) in Mathematics/ Biology in 1989 from the Rivers State College of Education and a Bachelor of Education in Biology and Psychology from the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State. She worked in Teaching, Banking and as a Sports Administrator in the State Civil-Service. She was First Lady of Bayelsa State. Mrs. Jonathan is now the first Nigerian first Lady to be appointed into a position reserved mainly for senior civil servants. However, 17 other civil servants were also appointed by the State Governor, Hon. Seriake Dickson as permanent secretaries. The other appointees are Mr.J.E. Oye, Samson Ayibeboa, Mrs. Antonia Koroye, Ziwari Billie, Buruboyefa John, Mrs Dikuro Ayebameh, Serge Williams, Olu Kuruom, G.I.Izein, Mrs.Philomena Alodie, Dr. Omietimi Kojo, Ese Izonebi, Ohougha Maythias, James Clinton, Mrs. Linnet Tebepah, Moses Teibowei, Dr. A. Sanayi and Vivian Odiwei. http://dailypost.com.ng/2012/07/12/why-appointed-mrs-jonathan-permanent-secretary-bayelsa-state-government/ |
I do not care about their profiles. But let me add: To be a VC you must have a PhD and long term teaching and administrative experience. So the guy appointed VC probably has these qualities. But he is not the only one in that University or in Ondo State who is qualified. How transparent was the process? Who appointed those who did the screening of candidates 9answer Mimiko, as the visitor of that university)? Now ask yourself if the VC steals university money (as most Nigerians in top positions do), who will prosecute him? Will Mimiko prosecute his brother? The same also goes for Patience. She has a Bachelors (I am not concerned with her grammars) and working experience that befits the perm sec position in her lowly Bayelsa state. So she is qualified on face value, just like the Ondo case. The problem is the ethics of appointing your relations or benefactors into positions you cannot control them. Anyone who thinks I am in support of any of this. |
Kobojunkie: Question for you . . where did I say she cannot come back to civil service. What has that to do with what I have said so far?Read my last post. |
Dame Jonathan obtained the National Certificate of Education (NCE) in Mathematics/ Biology in 1989 from the Rivers State College of Education and a Bachelor of Education in Biology and Psychology from the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State. This is more than enough to give you a perm sec position in a country where school cert holders have been presidents and governors |
Kobojunkie: A Permanent secretary is a senior level civil Servant. This woman isShe left the civil service means she cannot come back to the civil service? Based on her degree and experience listed by her own state, is she qualified or not to be a perm sec (Perm sec is just the head of the civil service in a specific ministry)? In one state there could be as many as 20 perm secs depending on the number of ministries. It is not a earth-shattering position. |
Kobojunkie: I see . . . . so your grouse with this is that YOU feel there was a hidden part to this that you have no clue of, and instead of investigating that, you would rather conclude that comparing a PHD with international Honors to a woman who has NO QUALIFICATIONS whatsoever given that she has been out of the civil service for the last 12 years, makes more sense?? ReallyJust one issue: if the VC steals university money in Ondo State, can Mimiko prosecute him? How ethical is it appointing your relations to positions specially in corruption-ridden Nigeria where there is no control of anything? |

Kobojunkie: No she is not qualified. And if you have a problem with the MImiko situation, voice it but Do not try to justify the one by posting the Other. It makes you seem an slowpoke trying to do that. How is she not qualified? What do you need to have to be a perm sec in a state in Nigeria? What qualifications do our leaders past and present have? |
Kobojunkie: @FSU, your post above tells us that he was the MOST QUALIFIED for the post at the time, in all of the candidates. Also, if you read the comments that followed the report you pulled People condemned it then. That in green is what the post says, but I do not buy it because the process could not have been transparent with Mimiko as the Gov and thus the visitor of the university appointing the committee who did the screening. The relationship in both cases is the lack of ethic and nepotism that played out. BTW two years tenure as a prof cannot qualify you as a VC. So you see how nepotim played in? |
pcicero: @FSUI do not care about their profiles. But let me add: To be a VC you must have a PhD and long term teaching and administrative experience. Kobojunkie: I think you should first learn to read before telling others to go get full details. In 2006, the brother was the VC? Then get your facts right - Femi Mimiko became Ag. Vice Chancellor in 2005 when his brother was in charge of appointments in the government of Ondo State. Yes, Segun Mimiko was then the Secretary to the Ondo State government and ratified his brother's appointment as Ag. Vice Chancellor even though his professorship was less than 2 years old as at that time. even from your argument that Agagu government made him Ag. VC (since Segun Mimiko as Secretary to Government needed Agagu's approval all the same) faulted the earlier submission that Agagu prevented him from becoming VC (when you all concur that his government made him Ag. VC). SImple fact here irrespective of the spin or the numbers of internet rats paid to re-write history is that nepotism is at work. More importantly, who set up the committee that assessed Prof. Femi Mimiko and concluded that he was the best? |
Kobojunkie: Here is a question for you @FSU. What is wrong with the appointment and why did you feel the need to post it here on this thread? I ask so I can better understand why In 2006, the brother was the VC? Then get your facts right - Femi Mimiko became Ag. pcicero: I have always known you to be a crass idi.ot. But now, your idiocy knows no bound. Did you also read that he was the top candidate for the job as far back as 2006? tpia@:Ondo Governor appoints brother as university VC From Niyi Bello, Akure GOVERNOR Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State has approved the recommendation of the Governing Council of state-owned Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, naming his younger brother, Prof. Nahzeem Olufemi Mimiko, as the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the institution. advertisement Mimiko, a professor of Political Science who specialises in Political Economy and International Relations, was to be named for the position in April 2006 when he was also recommended by a panel set up by government to shop for a new head for the institution but was rejected inexplicably by the then administration of Dr. Olusegun Agagu. Even though Prof. Mimiko emerged as the most qualified candidate in 2006, having contested the position during his tenure as the acting Vice-Chancellor of the institution, his brother's involvement in the race to the Ondo Government House, was manipulated as the main reason for his rejection by the Agagu administration. The governor was reportedly swayed in the choice of Mimiko by the fact that he clearly emerged as the preferred candidate from the long list of contestants shortlisted by the panel and the need to have the best for the institution. A statement from the Public Affairs Unit of the university signed by Mr. Bamidele Olotu stated that Prof. Mimiko, a thorough academic of international standards, was chosen purely on merits. It added: "Following interviews conducted on campus by a joint Council and Senate Selection Board last week Thursday, 17th and Friday, 18th December, 2009, the Governing Council of Adekunle Ajasin University unanimously recommended the leading three of the 14 applicants to the Visitor for him to choose one of them as the university's next Vice-Chancellor in line with the University Law. (Schedule 1, Section 7). "The Visitor has now announced through the Chairman of the Governing Council his gracious choice of Prof. Nahzeem Oluwafemi Mimiko, who was unanimously ranked number one by all the members of the Selection Board, including the consultant as the university's new Vice-Chancellor. "Until his appointment, Professor Mimiko was the Head, Department of Political Science, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife. He holds a B.Sc. Social Sciences (Political Science) degree, M.Sc. and Ph.D. in International Relations, all from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife. "He was at different times a Social Science Research Council, MacArthur Foundation; Visiting Scholar at the Thomas J. Watson Jr. Institute for International Studies, Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island, USA, and the Korean Foundation Visiting Fellow to the Academy of Korean Studies, Seoul, South Korea. "He was also a Visiting Professor at the Department of Social Sciences, United States Military Academy, West Point, New York, USA. He is a Fulbright Scholar and winner of the United States Army Public Service Award. "Professor Mimiko, 49, has more than 60 publications. He is Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Policy Initiatives; and Convener, Africa Research Initiative. He was at different times Head of Department, Acting Dean of Faculty, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Acting Vice-Chancellor at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko.
