In Ola of Lagos voice: I will never be poor.
That's a mindset of criminals and thieves. Find something meaningful and engage in. The whites i have seen here are leaving a frugal lifestyle. No expensive car. Most don't have cars, no gold, no expensive clothes just clothes of 10 pounds some buy second hands clothes , no university degree, no houses the few that owns houses just have 2 or 1 bedroom flat and they pay it working for over 35 years in service. No much children just one kid and a pet dog. They have a frugal mindset

Come back my brother, let's face this Tinubu tenure together. People are roasting here.

Come let all of us roast together and burn to ashes. It's a win win situation my brother.
grin but my brothers and sisters and parents aren't roasting.

I could remember vividly they sent me over 1.5m June last year ago to roundup something in Nigeria when i wanted to buy a land

Remember i was in Nigeria in 2023 when Tinubu took over.

You can consider changing your business, look into something that could help solve people's problems.
You could as well look into tech. Facebook has started monetization u could start making interesting videos that covers interesting topics.

I am into tech likewise. See this earnings i made currently. I opened this account that same year i left Nigeria.

Its an adsense account connected to my YouTube channel. I do cash out almost 500k every two months and this money is sent to my Nigerian account. I dont touch it. I leave it there then use it to buy lands in cheap places.

Do something dont limit your mind if its pure water, if its to learn carpentry, conduit wiring, painting, POP. Learn it we have over 300 million people in Nigeria that's a market almost equal to half of western Europe

If they ve come clean with the truth like, saying the harsh and cruel economy in Nigeria, plus no regard in Human value, no security, no free movement and no freedom of speech. . Even for get rich quick , it still works. 500 pounds savings for someone that was struggling to save 50k a month is quick money
U don't seems to understand travel or immigration system. Most have just two year visa which can't be renewed unless you get a sponsorship job before the expiry date

And you have spent over or nearly 50m. The question now is that can this 50m be recovered within this 2 years of post study?

That's the question

500 times 12month =6000 times 2 = 12000 now subtract your health insurance of 4000 for 2 adult you fall back to 8000 pounds which is 16 million naira.
The only way around it is to look for sponsorship job which will sponsor you for 5 years then it makes sense to recover your funds. Is sponsorship job easy to come by? Ask anyone in the uk

All i am saying is that we spent money to come here, we didn't just dissappear to be here and that cost has to be factored into the profit to arrived at true profit or loss value.

To count profit under the two years visa every graduate is given then u should save at least 1500 per month. All things being equal u have 36000 pounds in two years . That gives you 72m then minus ur 50m spent
Or u get lucky enough to get 5 years sponsor job then you..continue saving 500 or 300 pounds a month for 5 years or more

Outside this two scenario then u are at a lost

I think you should be the one to chill. You are beginning to sound like some broken record. Let people make their decision on if they want to travel. How many people do you know that sleep on the street and how come you don't know people who are doing so well in the UK? Please, stop this exaggeration.
Mr man or woman i have not stop or asked anyone not to travel. Did I? No one can stop u. You will stop ur self. Its best you focus on how best to beta ur life..

I report what i want and what i chose and once u report ill about the white man's land u all shout discouragement while in reality you have not visited any embassy before..
On the other hand when i report man killed in ogun or onitsha or kano, kidnappers did this and that u all will jump up and say all manners of things about your mother land.

My next article is to cover whites British sleeping on the streets hope u wont cry when that article is out. I might extend it to cover people lining up at universal credit to get help, white British lining up to get a cup of coffee

Cnn and BBC use to cover all wrong side of Africa but wont cover the daily struggle, suffering in their land. They make it look as if life is all easy in the west

He had a different plan....

One came to the UK in September 2021 for his Masters, with plans that the wife and their 2 kids would join him by January 2022....Uncle ghosted everyone, even his brother-in-law (wife's elder brother) who provided bulk of the funds for the tuition fees.

He graduated November 2022 with Msc. International Business Management , moved to 2 years Post Study Work visa while still working in a warehouse, couldn't get COS to switch to skilled worker visa....Post Study Work visa expired early February 2025....Uncle is still in the UK, illegally as an overstayer....no job as he has no right to work, still sustaining himself with his savings and talking about going to seek asylum in Ireland.
He should have fight a way to bring his wife in then both will fight for COS separately

You've taken up a job to discourage Nigerians from travelling out, preaching about how tough the UK is. Soon, they'll push this sh!t to fp and you'll be happy. You sef come back to the South East nah and see if IPOB or Nigeria Army won't kpai you in a matter of weeks or months. Shebi, it's better to stay back in Nigeria. You sef, come back home. I am in various Nigerian WhatsApp group communities here. Over 20 Nigerian communities. Please calm down you don't understand what people are going through who sold their belongings bought job COS for 20 to 30 million and came but no job. When I scroll through Facebook, I see many people talking about selling everything they own just to "japa." Some say if they had 50 million, they would leave immediately. Others complain that even 50 million is not enough. I understand the frustration because, since 2015, we’ve made decisions that have crippled our economy. But please, let’s not throw away everything we have in the blink of an eye.

I've heard heartbreaking stories of people selling their houses and land, raising 30 to 40 million naira just to secure a work visa to the UK. But when they arrive, they find no job waiting for them. Some get laid off after a short time, and soon after, they receive letters from the Home Office giving them just 60 days to leave the country.

If you're considering traveling to work abroad, there are really only two legitimate ways:

Through school (student visa)
Through a verified work visa

Anyone asking you to bring large sums of money for a work visa is 99% likely to be a scam. Please, be careful and stay informed

You lie in your stories. They've not been encouraging, especially when you try to make reference to other people to buttress your points. Again, when you tell your story, put a caveat about why your experience isn't conforming to those of average Nigerians. Don't present it like an ideal situation for any typical Black person coming into the country.

You had opportunity back here to guide others achieve success but you refused. Now, you are trying to paint a picture of trying to help others who intend to leave, albeit laced with lies. Who pays house rent in the UK and also pay all those separate bills when it's part of the house rent in the first place? You think you're the only Nairalander in the UK, right?
No bro unless u are a student n stays in student accommodation then u get that.

But once u graduated or stays in a private house owned by a landlord then it will mostly not come with all that...

Answer the queston boss, how do you pay £700 for a room and still pay council tax and water billshuh
Okay when you are not a student you pay council tax.

I stay in a two bedroom flats not a room.

Note here in Manchester a two bedroom flat unfurnished goes for 1200. I was lucky to get this

You can check prices here

https://www.zoopla.co.uk/to-rent/flats/2-bedrooms/manchester/

Now imagine if am paying 1200 for house rent alone then earning 1800 pounds after tax. How much will remain. That's 600 now remove council tax, water, transport, food, etx. All am saying is that its better n more preferable for coupled without kids who combine income as they share bill together but once u have kids then one stays n watch the kids or work psrt time. This is the reasons their government support mothers with funds for their children upkeep but unfortunately we are migrant n can't access this.

Hope you are clear now

Who discourage u? Did i complain that i don't have a job?
I am full time working anf footing my bills. I am sharing insights on how the system drains all you have.
Once u earn within 2000 before tax and below then you will struggle with bills except you decide to leave a frugal lifestyle.
