still on miui6, I've not received update yet, but I understand there's a way to go about it manually.

interesting! Lack of SDcard made me overlooked the note 3 but it is a good phone with finger-print sensor.

Will try to see the specs of mi5 and mate 8. High processor speed is one of the factors i consider in phones.

Did you install any third party rom on your note 2?

note 2 faced d same argument about SD card being present, lets wait and see, I believe note 3 will have SD card slot. meanwhile I'm still on the stable rom, no issues.

There's really a whole lot of changes and improvements to the device after the update too numerous to even mention ;
Better battery life,more efficient Ram management,the phone now automatically remembers your last network mode ie no need to manually change from 4G LTE to 3G every time you switch Sims,display settings improved with included reading Mode,camera UI changes with Beauty Mode etc,gallery improvements,more adjustable front sizes etc
Child mode,Guest mode,more themes,changes in the settings menu,notification toggle changes,file manager changes and overall smoother UI.
Really Xiaomi brought a lot of changes both cosmetic and otherwise to the new MIUI it makes the phone seems like a different device altogether,am impressed..

pls help with the download link, can't continue waiting for my updater.

It was a straightforward direct update,just download the ROM click install and the phone will reboot and do the rest..

how big is the file?, though I've not received the updates.

E.g, am using the stock lock screen but iOs9 icons, and a classic font

Xiaomi Uses Concore Glass.

Concore Glass is also known as Fit Glass because of the laminated display technology used in which Protection Glass and Touch device is integrated into one unit.

They are basically the same in terms of hardness and resistance to scratches. But they are used in different applications. Concore glass is part of a display and Gorilla class is used to protect a display from damage. Concore glass combines display and protection class into one. This reduces the thickness of the display.

Not true, phone calls can be made for as long as one wants to.

Call quality is very good. It's clear, loud & audible and has enough bass. There is no static sound in the background either.

I have made a direct comparison of the phone call quality & audibility with Tecno Phantom A+, Tecno Y5 and Elephone G5, all of which have decent call quality and the XRN2 is better.

I have suffered through phones with low, metallic, wispy call quality like Leagoo Lead 1 & Doogee DG350 so I know what I'm saying.

Your description fits the call quality of Infinix Hot Note Pro whose call quality is loud but is metallic and lacks bass.
