I had the same problem with battery drain in standby with 6.7.7.0 stable. phone would stay awake. I used Battery Doctor to see what was draining the battery, and apparently there was this service 'NetworkLocation' that was eating around 50% of the battery. So I went on and disabled it. This is a service found in Installed Apps, it's not the Location Access setting in Privacy. that is still enabled. I also went in Settings>Privacy>Location>Background location access>unckeck NetworkLocation.
This fixed the battery drain for me, overnight only drops 2-3%. Hope it helps!

I have been using the phone for getting on to 2 weeks now and am thus much more qualified to pronounce a verdict on it than you ever are,l mean seriously how can you pronounce a VERDICT on a phone you've NEVER even seen..
Firstly,I've been using it the way it was out of the box,am not one for tweaks,even though there's an update waiting,and the phone has been working to my satisfaction nonetheless.
Again I don't know where the issue of battery drain is coming from,as I mentioned earlier the battery life is better than my Galaxy Note 2 ever was and I still stand by that.
Seems to me the majority of people complaining about this phone have NEVER seen talk less of owning it,the impression I've got from REAL owners like ME are of SATISFACTION with their Redmi Note 2..

You can always open new accounts but I'll ban them as soon as I see 'em (and you stand the risk of having your primary account banned till TKC)

Eventually, you'll get frustrated and tired of the cycle of creating new usernames and having them banned almost immediately. Believe me, I've been there.
