I noticed this evening while driving home that my car's RPM suddenly shots up to about 4000 rpm,I was traveling at a speed of between 80 and 100km per hour. The car is a Toyota highlander 2003 with six plugs. Is this normal/okay? Would you advise that I keep driving it in this condition? What could be the possible cause of this? Gurus, pls advise me |
Yes..kind of...my mechanic did some "servicing" on the fuel pump and there was considerable improvement some months ago. He also told me i will need to change the fuel pump as time goes on. I guess i will be doing that soon as the symptom seems to be coming on again |
I have not tried it yet |
GAZZUZZ:Where sir? |

iyimide:Lol.. |
thanks. Is there a separate scan for gears? I thought the scan will bring out all the issues on the the gear, engine and other parts? Where can i run such in lagos? |
I went through yoour website and was disaapointed (to say the least) with the kind of grammatical blunders you put up there Examples are : "Phemtem Concept is a register firm organized to assist clients via providing a unique services" "co-operate gift items" I do not mean to pull you down but these are sincerely unpardonable errors ! |
I drive a toyota highlander 2003 and I have been having some issues with it recently. -When i start the car in the morning (or even in the evening at close of work) and the engine is still cold, the car hesitates and i practically have to apply some effort to the accelerator before the car moves especially if its on a rough or uneven surface; the car doesnt move well until I have driven for some time then it picks speed - I notice that when this hesitation happens, when the car responds; it suddenly surges forward - When at top speed the car moves excellently well - When in traffic and it requires that apply the brake and accelerator intermittently, the car "groans' as the car moves forward. This however does not happen when i am moving at top speed and i do not need to stop or apply the brake -I have done a scan of the car and the error codes are :P0155,P0135,P0302,P0304,P0306,P0010,P0020,C0205,C0210,C0215,C1241,C0278. -I was advised to change the plugs, tune up the nozzles and change three defective ignition coils; all these had been done but the situation has not improved Could someone please advise on possible cause of this and solution? Thanks a million in advance |

mfonox:I really wished you had sought opinion here before you sent in your application. I also was involved in monthly contribution but based on all the advices i gathered from here, i took to explain it in my cover letter to the ECO. I sincerely believe every inflow and possiby outflow that the ECO may find questionable should be explained. My wife felt my cover letter was too explanatory but i would rather be too explanatory and get the visa (which i did) than withhold explanations and have my visa refused. See my cover letter below, you may find the content useful in drafting your own cover letter whily appealing or re-applying. You may also need to get some sort of agrrement drafted by a lawyer with names and signatures of all the people that were part of the monthly contribution scheme. The Entry Clearance Officer The Deputy British High Commission 11, Walter Carrington Crescent Victoria Island Lagos. Dear Sir, GENERAL VISITORS’ VISA: I hereby apply for a UK general visitor’s visa (valid up to 6 months) to enable me spend a time of vacation with my wife (xxxxx) in the United Kingdom. I am currently employed as a full time staff of xxxxxxx Lagos in the capacity of xxxxxxxx. During my stay in the United Kingdom for two weeks, I will be staying with my wife at The Crystal Lodge Hotel, 49 Brigstock Road, Thornton Heath, CR7 7JH, United Kingdom, +447872969494.We plan to visit notable places like the Buckingham palace, the London Bridge, Emirates Stadium, 02 Arena and other tourist sites during our stay. The vacation will definitely provide a good get away experience for us. I find it necessary to provide the following additional information: 1. My immediate family (my wife, my daughter and I since my son was not born yet at that time) had a change of surname in 2012; please find enclosed sworn affidavit and newspaper publication to that effect. 2. My former passport which was issued on 09 Feb, 2011 and which should expire on Feb 08, 2016 has been retained by the Nigeria Immigration Service, National Headquarters Abuja on issuance of a new one to me when I applied for a change of name on the passport. It is considered wrong to release two unexpired passports to me bearing different surname. Please find a photocopy of the old passport in this application. 3. Our Children (xxxxxx) will be taken care of by my mother when we are away in the United Kingdom. 4. My Salary figure for June 2015 as reflected on both the Pay slip and the Bank Statement of Account is higher than the figure for every other month because my leave allowance for the year (N100, 598.50) was paid with the salary. Narrations on the pay slip also reveals this 5. A credit of N158,738.31 that reflects in my account as being paid on July 27, 2015 was the Staff bonus I received for the company’s performance in the previous financial year which ended on March 31, 2015. Copy of the mails sent to all Staff by the CEO of my company with regards to the performance bonus for staff is also included in this application. It is also stated in my employment letter that I am entitled to a yearly performance bonus. 6. A cash payment of N200, 000 which came into my account on 30th April from one Bleep (a friend of mine) from Union Bank was paid by in to my account because the depositor needed to transfer the money to one xxxxx who has an account with GT Bank. He however could not transfer the money directly to her because his internet banking profile restricts him from transferring to accounts in other Banks. He can only do intra-bank transfer within Union Bank. I therefore offered to help him transfer the fund from my Union Bank (on receipt of same in my account) to xxxxx GT Bank account. This I did on same day. 7. Payment of N27, 210 on August 13, 2015 and N5088.25 on September 28 were Sales incentives for businesses referred to the Sales Team by me. My employment offer letter states that I am entitled to such. 8. Debits of N200, 000 each from my account on 31st March and 29th April, 2015 were in respect of a monthly contribution scheme I was involved in. xxxxx (whose account the payment were made into) was the coordinator of the scheme which ended by the end of April. Kindly find enclosed all relevant documents for this application. I trust that you will find that everything is in order and I assure you that I will return back to my work and family at the end of my two weeks visit. For questions, clarification and interview, please feel free to contact me anytime. Yours Sincerely, xxxxxxxx |
Gaji09:The evidence that your company is running is the company's statement of account.I guess you only included your own statement of account. You could also include copies of recent invoices,LPOs, VAT remittance, tax clearance ,office rent receipt and other documents that will convince the ECO that your company is actually in business. |
Sunny4Gold:Ok boss! |

I seem to be in a fix. I am travelling to the UK on Monday but I cant seem to find where to buy BTA (Pounds). Union Bank promised to sell to me but on getting to their head office today they claimed they do not have pounds anymore. I also approached Access Bank and GT Bank. Feedbacks were negative. Using POS/ATM for transactions abroad will be terribly expensive because of the charges. Buying from the black market is equally expensive, the mallams on broad street are selling at N347 to 1 POUND. Can someone advise? (Modify) (Quote) (Report) (Share) |
