Do you have an inverter? How many car batteries do you have? Just remember not to deeply discharge the car battery as it is not meant to be deeply discharged so that it won't drastically reduce the lifespan. If I have a free car battery, there is no way in hell I'm not going to use it. If it dies, it was free and not much loss. Hahaha

Since it is just one battery, you can either use it for a solar lighting system or for a 12V inverter system. If using it for a 12V inverter system, then in my personal experience, you can deploy for loads that run only in the afternoon, that means the loads should be matched properly to what is generated by the solar while the battery only serves as a buffer and voltage source to the charge controller

One of the weirdest stories in the bible is the story of Esau and Jacob. In this narrative, the writer, who was heavily biased against Esau, expects you to love Jacob and despise Esau.

I can remember growing up, we all wanted to be Jacob: the smart, witty one, loved by God.

From the start, Jacob probably grew up in the shadows of his brother who was the much stronger and accomplished one right from time earning him major admiration amongst their small tribe - the resentment and disdain Jacob developed for Esau was terribly evident yet without justification.

- Jacob conned his brother of his position as the first born with a plate of porridge. Imagine how profoundly sinister someone has to be to care more about blackmailing your twin brother into relinquishing his position than sharing your meal with him when he was hungry.

- And then the famous con he pulled masking as his brother to steal his blessings from their blind poor father.

- Let us not discuss how he allegedly ended up conning his father in-law of several of his livestocks with shady arrangements.

It seems to me that the story of Esau and Jacob is about a brother's jealousy for his brother whom he recognizes as his superior.

It was a series of Jacob's incessant ill treatment, unending sinister ploys and wickedness towards his brother.

There was never a recorded event in the story where Esau treated Jacob wrongly or shared any form of ill-wish towards him.

Yet, at the end of it all, even when Esau had the power to exert his revenge, decimate Jacob's camp, Esau chose instead to forgive his brother.

To cap the disturbing trail of unfairness towards Esau, God apparently declared “Is not Esau Jacob’s brother? Yet I have loved Jacob but Esau I have hated. I have laid waste his hill country and left his heritage to jackals of the desert.”

Here is one story where the actions of the villains are broadly shown yet somehow convinces you to admire and root for him.

When you think about this now, the sheer absurdity of the whole set up makes you rather worried of some of the foundational lessons Christian children are taught.

There is nothing remotely admirable about Jacob, and he is a horrible example to formulate a moral lesson on.

I knew you were talking about panel lifespan and I already adviced that it should not impact the lifespan. That said I have not reached or gotten close to the lifespan(25 years) of mine.

As to the highlighted, what I meant is that perhaps the cell is full and you don't have much load hence the reason harvest is low so increase your load to see if there is changes

It shouldn't but you can just set a float voltage to check your battery at float(I assume it's lead acid). So don't disconnect it from charging.



Check the panel surface which may be dusty it's also possible you don't have demand (load). Finally there is change in the direction of the sunlight so depending on your panel tilt that may be the reason for lower yields as well

you got to check your cc settings. obviously your charge controller is not charging your batteries to full capacity hence
the sharp drop in back up hours as compared to when charged with public utility using your inverter charging
function. it could also be you may need to increase your solar array.

He probably uses a PWM CC to charge it. The float voltage setting may not be up to the value required to give the battery a full 100% charge whereas the AC charger gets the battery to full.

Again he needs to be sure of the voltmeter he reckons with if it is programmed for use with Lithium. Lead acid 100% charge is a little different from LFP 100% charge.

Edited: Seen that he uses a PWM. @Funshyboi, maybe you should refer to the controller's manual for going about the settings.

How even is your panel insolation? Shading? Orientation? Not to forget that the monsoon is still upon us, hence harvest from panels will still be in the troughs and except the panels are well oversized to cater to insolation downtimes, you can only expect increased yield during the dry months.
