You are not making sense! lonelygem: shame on on them and their yeye governance ideology.
there was never a time poverty is not in jubilation state in Nigeria or African countries as a whole. as far as memory can permit me, so called president was a well grown adult when OFN was lunched way back then prioritizing food security. I grew to know what is called 'iyan Buhari' meaning Buhari's pounded yam. all these were nicknames given to the food items door step delivery intervention programs that we enjoyed as a growing child and our parents appreciated till date. Reasons why our parents who were school teachers with such meager income were able to sponsor 3, 4 kids through University same time.
Talking about the toddlers scouting around Abuja roads for means of survival, at what point has it become a concern to him if not for the embarrassment it posses on him siting such heartrending situation they've constantly swept under the carpet. must every hungry Nigerians pick up a plastic bowl to beg for alms before this government feel concern?? because some people's condition is worse than what you see the kids doing on the street.
I have gone to eat at an eatery where an average age Nigerian youth whisper in my ears that I should please assist him by leaving a little leftover that he would know how to pick up my plate afterwords.. when I interacted with him, he wasnt actually a begger, he had stayed two days without food and he had to stay out of jod because the salary couldnt cater for transportation and coupled with several other factors..
Northerners have embraced their problems over years and surviving through whichever means, why is the government trying to downplay its primary responsibility to the nation as a whole..
people have landed properties that had been abandoned for fear of banditry. it takes grace of God to leave for work in the morning and come back home safely without a story that touch..
in the space of 4 days, my street was robbed twice. this is a street that has police post 300 meters away.. we put a call across to police, the DPO responded with sleepy voice and it took over three hours before they eventually called back that they didnt have fuel to move and they couldnt locate the particular street on foot.
I think the Government should just be focused on its responsibilities to its citizen before pointing accusing fingers.
'Na papa wey get property fit get mouth to say e wan disown pikin no be the one wey pikin don already know say in no get anything to gain from the papa afterall..' |

Why are Nigerians so ignorant and full of hate for one another. Kadaria Ahmed is a Christian convert! This means she is no longer a Muslim. She reverted to her father's surname when she divorced her Yoruba husband. She has always criticised the killings happening all over the Northern part of Nigeria (especially Zamfara and Kaduna)!. |
Politics › Re: "Ghana Persecuting Us Since 2007", Nigerians Tell Gbajabiamila by furio: 7:43am On Sep 03, 2020 |
@Aufbauh Mind you Ghana was the first to evict Nigerians from Ghana. I don't know why Nigerians don't know their history! Nigerians were deported from Ghana (Nigeria Must Go) in the 1960s. THE Shagari government reciprocated in the early 80s (because of the then failing economy) with 'Ghana Must Go'. Aufbauh: Honestly Ghanaians has been envious of Nigerians and it shows in every sphere of life. From sport to entertainment to trade and even education.
Even from the comments of Ghanaians in media space you could tell the amount of grudges they have against Nigerians. Maybe the 'Ghana must go' debacle is still boiling in their mind. |

Politics › Re: In Which State Was Abuja Before It Was Made The Nation's Capital? by furio: 4:54am On Nov 04, 2019 |
It was Obasanjo's idea. Abuja is Obasanjo's baby. As commissioner of works doing Gowon's regime, Obj was worried about the congestion in Lagos. He also felt that Lagos proximity to the ocean was a security threat. He campaigned for the creation of a new capital that would be central and would have a master plan (to avoid the mistakes of Lagos). Gowon approved the concept, Murtala approved the location, whilst Obj's regime brought it to reality by kick starting its development. He selected Justice Akinola Aguda to head the team that chose and worked out the modalities for a new federal capital. Mobolaji Ajose-Adeogun (a Lagosian) was the first FCT Minister/Commissioner and the only Southerner to occupy such position till date. Bleiz: I wasn't IBB's idea. The idea predated him. I think it started during the latter days of Gowon or the years of Murtala. IBB simply implemented it |

The writer of this piece is a dingbat! Buhari married Aisha in 1989. Buhari was able to send his & Aisha's children to foreign schools due to the money he made in PTF and his entitlements as a retired general, former governor & head of state, and not through the benevolence of Mamman Daura. What gives Daura's daughter the audacity to openly mock the first lady in the villa. Daura's daughter's interview also shows the Daura's have an entitled mentality! |

@oluwasegun007 drugs like Truvada prevent HIV infection. Just make ensure you take the pill regularly if you know you are prone to having unprotected sex! It's quite expensive in the West, but is heavily subsidized in countries like Nigeria. oluwasegun007: Fear them...
They've lifted and also pulled down great men..
Once again I say, fear them.
