if I hear!!!! U study a art course I get first class or 2nd upper in it first, and see what happen, almost all the multinational job advertisment I saw on nairaland/others website didn't classified any field of study.

@ prince...well nobody knows it all...for ur info,the courses u listed above cannot be study by an art student...only history,linguistics and journalism(masscom).....oya tell me an obvious place where an historian,linguistist can work?anybody can work as a journalist these days

First of all,if u noded In agreement after reading what I wrote up there,u need to change ur way of reasoning.That's a shallow man thoughts up there

So O P is a law student that doesn't like all the derogatory comments been made about the art class and most importantly the LEGAL profession recently on NL and needed attention to tell people otherwise before it starts to discourage and mislead our younger ones out there.

Dear art student,u are in the best class that can ever happen to you.Don't let comments on NL weigh u down.People have made, are making and will forever make it in this class..

And about you all bashing law..well am not surprised,people are always jealous of us.lol..Ask so many doctors,engineers..if given the chance they wld still study law.

Aspiring law students,keep pushing hard...being a lawyer is the best thing that can ever happen to you..forget about all these Lawyers are not getting paid ish..most of them are ignorant..trust me our senior colleagues do come around and these guys are getting paid heavily!...Like other courses,studying law doesn't guarantee success in life,but trust me it gives you edge over everything!...can't imagine myself not studying law!

And other courses under the art class too...tolulope has said everything concerning them and they are facts!...u can't compare urself with streets singers!...

Would have modified the real post,but this is my first time of making the front page and I just discovered it's not possible again..

Honestly, this class is becoming useless day by day.This observation is based on the fact that there are no many courses you can study under it.Law that used to be the pinnacle of it,according to the recent comments on NL is now a rubbish course.When my younger brother got in for law this year I was very happy but due to the recent comments on NL I feel like advising him not to study it again..I know his future is not determined on whatever course he studies,but it seems law has deteroriated to the extent that there is no future in it whatsoever again.Law aside,other courses in art class need not to be studied b4 practising them(in Nigeria)..Dramatic arts?music?...as for English language and Literature in English,if u don't try and do ur post graduate studies then become a lecturer,I don't know wat's in there for u.....I read on Nl that most art students wants to study law,my research tells me mostimes not because they like law,but because the other courses under it aren't fit their intelligence and also there are not so many courses to study under it...we all aspire to be the best in what we do,Law used to be for art class..now that it seems irrelevant, the class should just be scrambled!...what do you think?

It is their reaction that gave people this mentality in the first place...I wld like to know the rationale behind their action of remanding the helper as the first suspect...is dia a law backing that?is it a form of intelliegnce in their work?...it is what planted fear in the people...I thought if it was a smooth sailing process without any legal consequences...they would have been shouting on media outlets encouraging people to do it....but I guess reverse is the case here..

hmn! lost my dad 2 yrs ago to similar circumstance! He was in his early sixties. The okada guy that he fell off his bike begged soneone in the crowd to help him lift my dad to a hospital at this time he was conscious (so we were later told) the crowd just stared making sympathetic utterances. the okada guy gave up and reported at the nearest police station. by the time he came back my dad was dead. He was remanded by the police because my dad died and was prosecuted. but considering his actions we settled out of court. he paid the mortuary bill. it was so painful! I keep thinking what if he had gotten soneone to help, perhaps my dad would be alive!

sorry for ur loss..ur dad is one of thousands victims...there should be a law enforcing people to help accident victims to the hospital b4 embarking on dia journey...God will help us in this country

Yesterday,there was a hit and run in my area.The victim was lucky not to have died instantly and was moved to one side of the road groaning in pains.Everybody was emotional crying and all that,but there was nobody to help him to the hospital.They were all scared of the police if the person died b4 they got to the hospital.They called the road safety corps,they said they were far from the place but they are coming.According to what I was told,the man eventually died!...

Now to our dear police force.what, should we do b4 helping an accident victim to the hospital?what would be the consequence(s) if the person died b4 getting to the hospital?..This issue is killing people more than accident itself!

This is now trending amongst our musicians.U hear them eulogizing people as if they are singing fuji.It is annoying if they don't know.I first noticed it in wizkid's pakurumo,"alhaji m o balogun,aki yin o eh eh..ena mi lowo hehe"..no doubt it did alter my love for the song.Then these days,listen to ogaranya by kcee,kelly handsome's baba olowo,9ice's buje budanu,sekem by mc galaxy(smtin mayor of south africa),lkt's alaye remix,olamide's dansaki and jale,don jazzy ft dr sid dorobucci rmx,and the one that prompted my opening of this thread..wizkid's in my bed(fashola eleniyan o,BASORUN OGUNMOLA eleniyan o)...lol..

But there are some people that intentionally aleniate themselves from their friends.I for an example did that when my friends gained admission b4 me.Call it inferiority complex or wateva,i jst thought we were not on thesame level again..Changed my sim,deleted them from my social network accounts..etc..The real ones though however still got my number somehow and called smtimes.Imdtly i noticed so many people are having d number,i'd change it again..Don't blame me o,i was just trying to avoid the rhetorical question all admission seekers hate WHERE ARE YOU NOW?!
