Smalling should have just shielded knowing he was already on a yellow card. It's better to play with 11 vs 11 even if we were to play one goal down.

Our back play was a worry right from time. Fellaini played too far from Blind leaving three or four City players lurking around our shaking defence. Tight 4-3-3 should have been a better approach in difficult Etihad.
