I might be wrong, but I seem to ask most westerners about the elections, and I notice most SW voters above 50 are also behind GEJ. keep dreaming. and moreover which part of the southwest you carryout your political surgery? |

otokx: Authorities in Nigerian universities have now joined the charade and think it is by the number of first class that signifies which university is the best. Imagine the UNIBEN authorities listing relevant institutions for treatment of gully erosion as NDDC and Niger Delta ministry; goes to show you unusually low IQ in that place. That showcase how myopic you are to call UNIBEN grads low IQ. |

Career › Re: New Managing Director Appointed For Shell Nigeria by Futurecrown(m): 11:48am On Feb 28, 2015 |
iwaeda: A new Managing Director has been appointed for Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC), operator of the joint venture between the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Royal Dutch Shell.
He is Osagie Okunbor, who takes over from Mutiu Sunmonu, who is retiring after 36 years of service.
Okunbor has also been named the Country Chair of Shell Companies in Nigeria, combining the two positions his predecessor also held.
Okunbor is the third Nigerian to hold both posts, after Mr. Basil Omiyi and Sunmonu. Sunmonu assumed office as the Managing Director of SPDC in 2004, and also became Country Chair of Shell Companies in Nigeria in 2008. A graduate of Business Administration from the University of Benin, Okunbor is an accomplished professional, who brings over 28 years of industry experience and expertise to the role. He has worked in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, Brunei and currently The Netherlands. His previous assignments included Vice President, Human Resources for Shell’s Upstream Business in Sub-Saharan Africa and Vice President, Infrastructure and Logistics Shell Nigeria. He is currently Senior Advisor in Shell’s Upstream International operated business, based in The Hague, The Netherlands, from where he returns to Port Harcourt to take up his new role. Commenting on the appointment, Vice President Nigeria and Gabon, Shell Upstream, Mr. Markus Droll, said the company was delighted to see another Nigerian at the helm of affairs in Shell Nigeria. “Sunmonu has worked very hard over these years – managing production and setting a new agenda in dealing with communities, government and other key stakeholders. We are confident that Okunbor will consolidate and build on the progress we have made in the past years,” he said Okunbor, who will assume office on March 1, is married and blessed with children

primusmaximus: They have the oldest Petroleum Engineering department in Nigeria lol. Infact the only Nigerian university with a Professor in Petroleum Engineering I think.
When I say 'prof' I mean someone that climbed the ranks in the petroleum engineering field and not one that converted from chemical engineering or the likes. If it's by conversion then UNILAG has 2 Professors in Petroleum (Prof Oyekunle and Kehinde).
http://tech.ui.edu.ng/welcomepet
CORRECTION- FUTO also has a Full petroleum Prof same applies to UNIBEN. prof Adewole. |

GodswillAJudins: Pls I need ur advice as I don't want to end up regretting my decision on the engineering path to follow, I would like a degree that can gv me great opportunity to penetrate the oil and gas industry and also give opportunity in other areas ( broad field). I think I can fit in in any field of engineering cause am good technically and love working hard, that's why I dint do post ume on the medical line in other to go for were my passion lies(engineering) through Predegree. So ur advice is greatly needed. Thanks Bro, I will advice you to scrutinized your environment or Nigeria at Large before choosing any Engineering career and the most professional one. I must tell you that all Engineering are good in their own but the most centralised one are Electrical/Electronics And Civic Engineering. ranging from jobs prospects and to start on your own without hunting for jobs cos there no job in the country now. |

Talkwisdom: thanks for the information but the accreditation was noted to be valid for a period of five years, who knows what might happen after that five years Bross I can deduced from your Post that you are myopic about COREN accreditation to spread an I'll information about UNIBEN. I will advice you to recheck that COREN website and know more about accreditation. Accreditation valid for five academic year in each Universities before the team will come back for reaccreditation.. Presently UNIBEN run Eight accredited Engineering Degree programs and all are fully accredited.. Bro, try scrutinized issue very well before discredited UNIBEN glory. come to talk about academic Standard ,you make references to UNIBEN, No wonder it was adjudged as the best research and the most innovative school in the Sub-hara African and happens to be the School that pioneered industrial Training in the whole Nigeria Universities system. for more information Google TEAMUNIBEN. |
