Thank you so much for this. I dropped my passport on the 10th of July, and have got no email, the ceac website keeps telling me it has no info. I tried the new website, opened a ticket, got an auto response to wait for 48hours same as others. I tried to book a pickup appointment last week, it did not work. After seeing your post now, I tried again and got an appointment to pick up for $0. Pickup location is Idowu Taylor. I still do not know for sure that it is there, but I will go. Thank you. Your post encouraged me to try it again.



Hello there, please apart from not receiving an email when you check ois website, did it say passport ready for pick up?

F2 applicant: I have a growing career and a business to return to. We recently acquired a piece of land to start building our future home. I will be supervising the building project, and I have the land documents here….

V.O: I don’t need to see that (continues typing). What do you do? How much do you make?
F2 applicant: I tell how much I make and what I do. Then, proceed to say, we’re a really young couple, and I’d like to spend my next annual leave in January with my husband.

V.O: I’m sorry you do not qualify (hands blue paper).

I'd really appreciate any help on how to proceed in the future.

anytime from two days after the visa has been approved, i did interview on Monday and picked up my passport today. You can check the status of your passport on this site https://appointment.oisservices.com/ and book pickup appointment also on the site if its ready for pickup.

I am having similar situation too.

Mine was suppose to be tomorrow , they sent a mail that it have been re scheduled on Friday.

But on the portal is not showing same

* You have to go through your selection via OIS website.

1. Your visit to DHL and OIS was like a student with beautiful school uniform , but who is not officially registered at the principal office.

2. DHL is still working with the USA embassy but on - Pay as You Work basis. OIS has replaced DHL as the main drop -off/Pick -up representative.

FIRST.

* Tract your VISA status here.

* VISIT AVITS and sign up

*. Then raise a ticket (complain message) by attaching your VISA pick up slip in the message .

THIRDLY.

* Go to OIS website and sign up and book pick up appointment with your passport information, as well as your VISA pick up slip & Tracking printout.

** Your Passport must have been returned to the embassy by DHL, while the embassy might have redirected it to OIS but you don't have any account. No AVIT profile , no OIS profile.

** Call the embassy help line for final instruction.

Can anyone please assist in providing response to the enquiry below?

I had paid and booked group appointment for my wife and 3 kids on the old portal for Oct. 2025. However, after the migration to the new portal, I could no longer do group appointment for them and had to resort to individual appointments.

Despite this constraint, I was fortunate to book for my first child (<3 year old) and one of my twin (<1 year) for Nov. 08, while my wife and the other twin booked for a week later - Nov. 15.

Are they expected to attend the interviews differently considering the twins are below a year or we can all attend on the first date and see if the 4 of them will be attended to? The challenge is we reside in a city far from Lagos and would require flight bookings and accommodation for each trip. Attempt to get the contact center was not unsuccessful.

It’s extremely hard but not impossible. If the home ties wasn’t strong enough for F2, I don’t think it will be enough for B. They might just meet a VO who is kind enough to show them favor hence I’m not saying you shouldn’t give it a try. Aren’t you applying for OPT and getting a job? You could use the job to try the F2 again when you’re on OPT.

I do not know how to do this, maybe someone in the house will help answer on how to book a group appointment on the new web site and i think some had mentioned that if you have genuine reasons for wanting a sooner date you can also request for that and if granted you will be given a sooner date in Lagos so you can make your graduation in December.

hello, the earliest date I am seeing now in Lagos as of today is July 2025, I got Oct 2025 and was able to reschedule to April 2025 some days back, and hoping I get to see an earlier date soon.
