adubam: That guy didn't do anything special. Your passport was already out. They just worked on your desperation. I Love your view, my baby was captured on the 1 of April the person told me it will be out in 3 weeks when I chatted him up after a month to know whether the passport was ready for collection, he was given me stories and asking me to pay another 35k and up till now am yet to have my baby's passport. I did it in Benin City. and am in Lagos now. i will need the passport in july. PLEASE, WHAT DO YOU THINK I SHOULD DO? is there a way to track it Cos it might even be out and i don't know |

Nxxxx: Hello everyone, hope everyone is doing great here.
I have an advise for most the applicants who always say they are employed and end up being denied. Here is the trick. If you are currently employed for years and then you go for your visa interview and ask who is paying for your trip. The visa officer wants to hear something related to your own money because you have been working BUT immediately you say someone else is paying “they then think you are lying about the job you stated”.
So please always add as follows: “ I have some savings in my account but my “family” member will be assisting me with the other part. And make sure to show proof you got the money in your account.
This is the the lady who went twice failed because you keep saying you are working but you can’t even show small expenses from your own pocket.
Secondly, please stop using words like “I will return and be a senior manager or etc” they are getting tired of hearing those things so they have started denying people. Maybe it might work for some people but you can also say “ I will return and assume my role while for a period of 6months before being promoted to a senior role”. This is what most companies do. When you return you must go through a trial period first before being promoted.
Good luck to everyone…. Franklin God bless you for these tips |

Sheyboy8: Good day everyone, what is the best way to approach a situation where the person who wants to sponsor my Masters program is an aunt who currently lives in the US. Is it a red flag? we are together in this, since we have been told that self-funding is the best option, I don't know how good this idea maybe- collect the money from your aunt and start depositing bit by bit in one's account. just thinking o, please others should comment. but I think this method will be good if we have partial scholarship and just need lesser amount to compliment it |

Teeswift: RESPONSE| CONTRIBUTION NEEDED URGENTLY!
Hello everyone in the house!
It’s been a while now and would like to use this opportunity to thank you all for the good work.
The question I’m about to post or ask now requires immediate response from those of you with similar experience or got an idea. Your suggestions will highly be appreciated.
I have a friend who has just received an I-20 (F1) including two I-20’s (F2) for her 2 dependents kids and she’s about applying for US Student visa in Nigeria with the 2 kids. The school resumes in August 20. We understand that getting visa appointment can be very difficult nowadays My questions are: 1. What is the process to apply for DS-160 and interview appointment for the 3 of them? 2. Does she have to fill DS-160 for the 3 of them separately or Is She just going to fill hers and include her children information in hers?
3. For the interview appointment, is she going to book just one Visa appointment for the 3 of them and pay 3 visa appointment fees Or have to book 3 different visa appointments for the 3 of them separately?
Finally, few years ago when I filled my DS-160, passport photo was not attached during the application, does the recent DS-160 application requires passport photograph to be attached at the end of the application?
I just want to get accurate information regarding this matter before she proceeds.
Please guys your help and contribution will appreciated. God bless you Thanks! am really interested in the answers to these questions course I will also need this information as well |

Svelte98: Hey, I don't know if anyone has answered you yet, so I hope this helps.
I'm actually in the same shoe as you (not with Virginia Tech though, mine is ETSU). I'm waiting on them to make GA decisions which will take place between April to June. Personally, I'm hopeful that I'll be given an offer atleast by the second week of May so I can start working on my I-20 and visa application, since my program starts in August.
Here's what you can do; you can start processing your I-20 with your personal funds and see if you can secure a visa date. If during the process, the GA funding is given to you, you can always print out the offer letter and go with it to your visa appointment and try and explain to the V.O when you're asked about funding. Just my two cents.
Its a win-win situation.
Cheers! good to see someone that has been given admission to study at ETSU, can we connect, please? |

Debbiey: Good morning all.
Please I need help. My interview is in about 7 working days time.
Still looking for what I can present as strong home/work tie.
I'm an F2. Hubby left for study in January. We're just 10 months married.
My work experience is not encouraging at all.
Finished B.Sc 2010 Finished MPH 2015
Taught in secondary schools for like 3 years.
Volunteered in a public health NGO for 1 year.
But now, I'm self employed. I do bead works. That's my main job. However, on the side, I teach mathematics private lessons to students & I'm also an Admin staff for my husband's start up biz.
What exactly can I put down to reflect work ties among all of these disjointed pieces that are not even related to my course of Study?
your home ties should be social and economic ties. your social ties can come from the NGO where you volunteered and you can ask them for a letter as evidence, while your economic ties should be your business and your hubby's start up. hope this help a little |
