GUNITGuy:Oga, your facts are very wrong. You have been hearing, have you ever bothered to do your own research. That plant is near completion, and it was started in 2018, and not a good luck time. Maybe during good luck time they thought of the idea, but they never made any budget for it. It's every year when your dad says he would like to buy a car and he finally gets the car after five years, then you will say the car is a fraud, because you have been hearing about that car for the past five years and it only came after fives years. See bonny is not far. try go there and check the plant is near completion it is a very huge project okay. |
FreeStuffsNG:When an ignorant black folk is shown hard evidence instead of them to admit defeats, they will be deflecting. Why do blacks never learn? No wonder the black race is behind in the scheme of things. I have shown you hard evidence, and this is all you have to say? National policy that the Buhari government couldn't use to completely hold back airline funds, and they have to shut down operations. Do you think you can force any foreign company to keep their business proceeds in the country after they have sold off their assets if there is nothing you are indicting them for? I am sure Seplat has already taken full responsibility for decommissioning those assets, and even NNPC will also share some of that burden. Truth is, Europe needs gas from Africa now that it wants to get rid of Russian oil and gas. All of those have been said countless times in the news media, and all the pipelines from Nigeria across Africa into Europe are being built for what? The AKK project pipeline from South through the north is for what? Maybe all this is above your pay grade. |
Babaibe:The Cost of service is high over there, and that is why the standard of living is very high too. That is not enough reason for you to say that the dollar is losing value. |
RightToReject:Wait $15B and $30billion which one is higher? please explain, because this your write-up i am not understanding it. Must you criticize? |
Sonnobax15:You mean this useless father that bolted away from responsibilities faster than Usain Bolt. |
SirWisy:It is now that Africa wants to become like Europe that you are saying they are not ripe for democracy abi. You all can be so easily deceived. Polarized43:Enemies of the country like you people. |
Ikpongiton:Abeg read well, the never sold their deep water asset, only the onshore assets so they can run away from any responsibility of decommssioning the assets and also community problem and crude oil theft that was reducing their profit and cost of operation. So they were still very much in Nigereian watser and even also owning over 25% of NLNG gas. |
Lanruze:You mean the watered-down and edited version that PMB passed into law is what you are celebrating. We really have a lot of ignorance in this country. |
FreeStuffsNG:Again, I repeat, you are the naive one here. Oil and gas exploration is my field, where I have worked for over 15 years now. So if I am commenting on an issue around there, you should not be talking. You didn't know what was going o,n but people like us in the field then knew everything. Read link below for more. Google is your friend. https://www.thisdaylive.com/2022/03/28/responsible-oil-production-and-decommissioning/ https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=4103807 If you read the paper above, you will know that we have no single regulation to hold these guys accountable for any liabilities prior to 2023. Only the PIB, we were warned by the UK and co on having this issue of abandonment of assets. This next paper will only tell you that it was incorporated in 2023. How does a law of 2023 affect an asset built in the 1980s? Those guys were running away because they did not want to bear the cost of decommissioning. Read this next paper to see that decommissioning was only introduced in 2023 after a lot of international warnings and outcry from concerned Nigerians like myself, who understand the oil and gas exploration sector. extension://mjdgandcagmikhlbjnilkmfnjeamfikk/https://www.nuprc.gov.ng/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/DECOMMISSIONING-REGULATIONS.pdf Read below. Does the recent divestment round by the IOCs change anything? |
Brendaniel:Which indigenous comapny, company and country that cannot tap this same crude or gas, do you know that Nigeria has been falring this gas since God knows how long. which means we have been burning it, poluting our environment causing global warming without any impact to our life. Brendaniel:Which indingenous comapny? Brendaniel:Indingenous company do not have the tecnical know hopw neither do they have the skill to do so. Neither do they even want to learn, corruption has finsished us alot. If governmnet decideds to fund them with such loan, the project will never be completed. they will completely siphone the money through corruption. |
Brendaniel:Dangote is a name they can trust, so what about you? Do you have a name they can trust? If I ask you to borrow me just N1M, let me use and invest in your village, will you do it? Even Nigerian commercial banks will borrow Dangote money because they know they will get it back. |
FreeStuffsNG:You people just keep spreading lies. There is a huge difference between Remediation and investing. It is the duty of the IOC to remediate the damages they have already done to the environment, and projects should be properly decommissioned after expiration, even the pipeline they lay on the soil; they are supposed to remove every piece of it and ensure the soil is tested to confirm every impurity they left there is removed. It has nothing to do with keeping the proceeds here, or if they can confirm that Seplat will be the one to bear the cost of remediation of the environment. Shell's decision to invest in HI and Bonga is all about strategies to boost gas sales to Europe, nothing more. |
GUNITGuy:. Maybe in your mind, Train 7 is just like those trains that used to carry goods from one location to another, that is why you are saying this, the mentality is really something else. Please stop spreading false information. Train 7 is a plant they want to build to process gas for sale and the projects was just recently awarded and construction has started and it will soon be completed just like Train 1 - 6 which was built over 20 years ago, and by far it is still functional to date, and it is the only profitable business in Nigeria been owned by the NNPC. GUNITGuy:, NLNG is not solely owned by the government of Nigeria. Please stop spreading lies, because most GENZ here will read your comment and believe it. It is better that you don't comment on stuff you have no knowledge of, because misinformation is worse than ignorance. Never at any time budget was passed on the Train 7 project; it was even Buhari who signed the FID for the Train 7 project, and the aim of the project was to increase the production capacity of the NLNG plant from 22 to 30 MTPA of LNG. And also at a time when Train 1 and 2 will soon be decommissioned. If the previous government talked about it does not mean they budgeted money for it. I know every year you or your parents can talk about buying a car does that mean you budgeted money for the car? The year you will finally buy that car or start building that house that is when you will start budgeting money for it; otherwise, you may only be saving money for it Plus, Train 7 is not an NNPC investment alone; Shell, Total, Exxon Mobil, AGIP all budgeted money for the construction of the train 7 project because they are all part owners of NLNG. So be informed, bro. |
EdiskyHarry:And when Putin was selling gas and is still selling gas directly to Europe through his pipeline, he was not right to say that Russia was a European investment Abi. You people can be so easily deceived I don't know why. It is now that Europe is trying to get rid of Russia's oil and gas, and they are now turning to Africa as their new market, that destructive elements are now trying to take Africa backward with their witchcraft mentality, like this. It's such a shame that Africans cannot really tell who their real enemies/competitors are. Russia is our biggest competitor and enemy at the moment. |
Brendaniel:based on the one wen your papa dash the government na. Awon entitlement mentality. FreeStuffsNG:Nobody insisted on anything for the money to be invested in Nigeria, please stop spreading false info. The truth is, gas is the future, and Europe needs gas from Africa so it can get rid of Russian gas. |
adekolaelect:Maybe i guess you are unemployed. You mean the ordinary HSE training and induction he gave them are what you are saying made them petrochemical Engineers. Is there any company that will employ a graduate and not send them through some training to be able to operate the plants where they are working? The slavery mentality is so bad among the black race. |
Checkwell:She actually thinks out of the box to do 145 makeovers. you what have you though out of the box to win your own Guinness world record? Awon bad belle |
Babaibe:keep living in your fantasy. You all will always believe what your imagination tells you rather than what the reality on the ground is. YoungBTCxchange:Where in your dreams. where do you see dollar loosing value like Naira. BadEnglish:even in your country Nigeria, you are also a second class citizen. |
Maryam1234:And how long will it take you to save that N500K monthly to be able to buy any landed asset that is worthy of building any property on in this current Nigeria. My friend the truth is most of you have not seen money that is why you are all making this ignorant talk. If you are comfortable save N500K monthly in Nigeria, that means as a single guy you are earning minimum N900K monthly married man you are earning at least N1.2M monthly. And saving that will be N6M annually to get a good landed asset in Port Harcourt, where i reside. A landed property will cost from N15M buy and build land, depending on location, some cost as high as N40M and above, where i am residing now a plot of land costs from N60M and above. Let's say you choose one of N15M, that means you will have to save for a minimum of 3 years before you can afford a plot of land, which is 50x100. How many years will it now take you to build a house of your choice, maybe another 5 to 10 years, making a total of like 15 years, and you obviously cannot work for more than 30 to 35 years. So tell me if it is worth it then. |
EvilMerodack:This guy is obviously pained. ogebni enjoy your T-pain in peace. |
adekolaelect:You are the one displaying huge ignorance by assuming Dangote made them Petrochemical Engineers. Such a huge lie from you doesn't make any sense at all. |
yemre:It is actually you who do not know what you want and you also do not know what is good for you. |
Sirleo05:You really need to go to school to know alot of stuff. independence22:His decision is never for the good of Nigerians but rather for his own selfish interest. This only confirms that he so much hates his country men. A similar incident like this is about to happen at the Bonny NLNG Train 7 projects. where the Asian Korean Daewoo guys are planning to sack all Nigerian welders and fitters, only to replace them with Filipinos and Indians, such a shame to this shithole country. Maybe soon all Nigerians will only be good at do Yahoo Yahoo.. |
pharmagba:Illiteracy is a very deadly disease. This comment is a very strong confirmation of that. hotseat:Dangote was not the one who sent them to school. or was he. This statement made me realize that school nor be scam. try go to school a take God's name, beg you. |
blowjohn:But if you have your brain with you, you will never be a celebrity. |
NOETHNICITY:Whether they have been defeated or not is not my problem, only kiddo like you are bothered too much. Maybe one day, when you are done with your school, you will be employed in Dangote Refinery, only then will your eyes become clear. |
NOETHNICITY:I don't engage with kiddo. go and ask ChatGpt or your lying father. Soon, you will grow up to meet the same corruption you are supporting now. By then you will cry and you will not see it. |
NOETHNICITY:I never knew I was speaking with a toddler. So Grok AI is what is fueling your entire conversation all this while, no wonder all your comment are far away from reality. This just confirmed you have never worked before in your life and i cannot belive someone like me who has worked there in dangote refinery before is engaging in an argument with someone still in his fathers house most likely a teenager. I am done with this conversation, believe AI and Chatgpt all you want. only kids use them as google. bye. |
