Don't mind the,m bro. The problem of this country is that we have too many educated illiterates among us, and it shows in most of the comments over here. They so hate themselves, and they always try to align with the oppressors so long as it doesn't affect them personally.A bunch of wicked Nigerians. Then when i was working in dangote Refinery i was regretting and the general saying we all had was assuming there was a strong union there we would not be suffering what we were suffering in the hands of those indians. I joined them during covid period because i loss my former job then, the pay was so poor i never wanted to join, but because i had a familty to feed i decided to join and the role I took up was been occupied by one of the Indian engineers who resigned because he wanted to go be with his family during the COVID time and they couldnt get another Indian to replace him beacuse of the restriction of travels during the covid time, that was why they decided to contact a Nigerian which was me. Even after they were employed, they were rumouring that there were no Nigerians who could do the job, They were shocked to learn I, a Nigerian, could do the job. I met the indian Engineer before he left, and i got the know that I am far more qualified than him, the same international certificate he holds, i have a higher version of it from the training body in the United Kingdom. and he was even earning 5 times my salary. i imagine the irony. Well, i left very fast because i am not the type who lack job for long. I am an international Engineer.

NNPC tried by trying to starve the refinery from receiving crude. Dangote went ahead to import crude And the fact that his facility sits on a free trade zone gives him the right to do it and most importantly..his facility can crack any crude meaning he doesn't need to stay dependent on Nigerian crude..NNPC failed..

NUPRC tried by calling products from Dangote concentrated with impurities (sulphur) today Nigerians attest to the fact that the product of the refinery are the best for their engines...NUPRC failed..

NUPENG tried by threatening to prevent lifting of products from the refinery..Dangote bought 4000 trucks to do it himself..they failed..

It is PENGASSAN turn..let see how it unfold..

Some how ..all these unions never stood up when the refineries died..when people were stealing crude and subsidy money.. when people imported adulterated products because they are complicit..

It is not the place of Union to revive your dead refineries, neither is it their place to build Refineries for your failed country. You guys like doing misplaced priorities. The role of a union is to advocate for the rights of workers where the government has failed. There are labour laws in this country, but unfortunately, a lot of workers cannot enforce them, and the Nigerian Judicial system has also failed the common worker in all of these. That is where union comes in, the union comprises of workers elected by the entire body of workers, is it not a shame that Nigerians are been marginalized by companies working in Nigeria and owned by Nigerians, do you think you can go work in India and have more rights than the indians, there is no way that can happen, but alot of shit are happening here, because we hate ourselves to much.

From what I know, you can't compare Dangote refinery workers with their peers in other oil and gas companies.
They look more like civil servants, nothing special.

I do not still think its a hoax, you may be right in one way, but i think the cost of producing electricity in Nigeria is very high due to the high theft rate and poor infrastructure for transmitting the power produced. Nigeria is a serious crime scene that is what it is. But you cannot say that Otedola is doing fraud if he collected the electricity subsidy, because the government is also a part of our power infrastructure.

You are the one twisting the narratives. What he wanted to do was total subsidy removal, and it was analysts who speculated the price would eventually move up to 159. It was after the protest, and all he decided to do was a partial subsidy removal and kept the price at 97.
