Nollywood really made you guys to have a very poor and wrong understanding and orientation about Igbos. Oga don't use that Nollywood lies. Truth is I have stayed in igbo land for years and a lot of my male friends are igbos. During when they were ready to get married, this is exactly what happened that I have stated. So I decided to take a sampling of each of them. My best man during my marriage is an Igbo guy, although he married another tribe, but that was because he didn't grow up in the east, and if you see hi,m he doesn't behave like a typical Igbo, he is someone with a open mind. but you see the other of my friends more than 10 of them that was the case. there was one who wanted to marry another tribe girl. He told me his mother will cry for him anytime he mentions that girls name and finally, he went to his village to marry. And funny enough the village girl he married which his mother hand-picked for him, is not in talking terms with his mother. They do not call each other year in year out. They had a big quarrel, like a year into their marriage. One was even telling me the reason he cannot marry a non-Igbo girl is that if they are at home together, which language will they be using to communicate?

Your first fact above about people being afraid to rush accident victims to the hospital because of fear of police whahala, you are right. But then in the first instance, why fear police wahala when you are in the process of helping save a life, and you think those doctors are not also afraid to admit this woman due to fear of police wahala. Why I will say this is not the case for the people who rushed this woman to the hospital is because this incident happened in her area outside her gate, so the people around at that time know her very well, and they will not hesitate to rush her to the hospital. So you think if an accident happens in your area where they know you, the residents there will be scared of police wahala instead of rushing you to the hospital. Think again, my friend. Stop making excuses for these wicked police officers, as they are not worth it. In a sane society, no one would be scared of rushing an accident victim to the hospital all because of police wahala. That means the police do not encourage such.

I am an Igbo guy I grew up in the Southeast like most of my childhood friends and male siblings. All of us are married today.


Some married Yoruba, foreigners, Igbo, Delta, and the last of my friend that is yet to marry will soon wed a lady from Kaduna State.


I almost married a Fulani girl if not that I was still struggling financially then and didn't have the confidence to marry then and she was so ready and waiting, I had to let her go because I was so scared to marry as a broke young man.



My elder sister with grown kids that will soon marry too married from another state in the Southeast.

His father-in-law said he cannot allow him to marry his daughter, the guy went behind to get the girl pregnant because of love, still father-in-law insisted that he is looking for another child and still will not allow him to marry his daughter. After series of begging from the guy to all the girls family members and assistance from the girl as well the father inlaw decided to bulge. Another of my friend he is from Abia while the girl is from IMO state, his long-time friend he told me he wants to get married together, when he met the girls father he refused to get her married to him, he even went with his people, and they were denied marriage. Thank God guy man had a second option girlfriend whom he finally decided to marry.

Most of my friends are igbo and I can tell you these for a fact, I have even had this conversion with a lot of igbo guys are I even sampled more than 10 of my colleagues who are igbo and trust me 9 out of that 10 got married to woman from the same village as them and the truth is their mother played a major role in making that marriage happen. And these men at some point before they got married to their village wives, were dating girls from other places. So it is an Igbo guy's thing. Those guys are extremely tribalistic. This is a fact, if you think it is a lie, just check out any Igbo guy around you who grew up in the southeast, if they are married, they most of the time picked their wives from their villages.

They don't need to call anything. The IGP, should write to all the health care providers, in his letter head, and hand-signed saying the Police will NEVER go to a medical practice to harass them when they take accident/gunshot/knife wound patients. He should, on documented police communication channels, radio EVERY police post, every Division and area command, that they MUST NOT go after any medical practice that treats these category of people. He should provide a means where any such harassment can be reported directly to him.

Police talk too much about medical practices not needing police report. It's like the way they also say bail is free.

You're right, this is what the IGP needs to do, but unfortunately, they will never do it because they think it is of no benefit to them, until the citizens decide to protest, they will not do anything. very docile set of people. They are looking for an avenue to collect money only.
