megainvest: Afriprud will likely declare interim dividend at H1 so it may be a good one for short term but I believe UCAP will blow the market into space when it releases its H1 result sometime in July. UCAP is the real deal for me - My plan is to just keep accumulating UCAP! So this is a buy recommendation but you still need to do your DD. I share same thots. I'm bullish on UCAP also Did anyone get below N2.30 today? |

fxuser: '' .. but market forces at open in the next trading session will determine direction ''
#key '' The profit taking activities of traders were not obvious as fund managers and brokers balanced their holding positions for end of the month accounts. This means that the new week would experience mixed performance. For any new positioning, wait for the pull back before jumping into the market. '' end quote I share similar thots with d writer. Hav a blessed and bullish week ahead . |

http://www.etftrends.com/2016/05/nigeria-etf-surging-on-central-bank-forex-relief/'' Nigerian markets and country-specific exchange traded fund are surging after the frontier country’s central bank made a policy one-eighty on exchange rates. The Global X Nigeria Index ETF (NYSArca: NGE) added another 1.2% Friday after surging 9.3% over the past week and jumping above its long-term, 200-day simple moving average. NGE is up 25.1% over the past three months and 4.5% higher year-to-date. Related: Potential Developing Market ETF Bargain Picks Nigerian equities strengthened over the past few sessions after the central bank on Tuesday said it would adopt a flexible exchange rate policy, ending currency controls that fettered the equity market, Reuters reported. The Nigerian naira currency was overvalued due to a pegged regime, which weighed on growth and investment. Foreign investors saw a devaluation as inevitable and previously kept to the sidelines or have been selling shares. '' |

megainvest: Do you know that as at today, UCAP has already exceeded the FY profit it made in 2015? Get ready for the mother of all bulls!!!
FY 2015 PAT = N2.57b Q1 2016 PAT = N1.13b Q2 2016 Profit realised from sale of insurance business only = N1.5b (before tax i guess)
Total of about N2.6b till date
This is excluding the profit from other operations including the 50b bank guarantee that they arranged for gencos!
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome on board flight UCAP heading to destination N4 and beyond!!! Word we may see a first interim consideration. nice one |
