If you think Biafra, if allowed to happen will be united, you have another thing coming. The segregation within Delta state itself is so much that they asked for the state to be divided further so as to get Anioma state. So if Biafra think if they split they will have oil, there are decieving themselves.
its not all about oil but the people, their culture, religion, lifestyle, attitude everything even size.

Nigeria is too big for an African country without leadership and with the political class we are seeing the future looks bleak and of course the smaller a country the easier to manage.

Are we not suppose to have passed a situation where decision making is centralized in a country?
Why would all the buck stop at the president's table and every opposition is hounded in the name of corruption and you are OK with it in this century.

Am beginning to see that the major problem of this country is not corruption, its the people ,all of them including the president who wants to have it all to himself.
Politics / Re: Oil Marketers Lament Forex Scarcity, Fuel Scarcity Imminent by Fyno: 7:31am On May 21, 2016
When the FG lifted subsidy and asked the marketers to source forex themselves shows we lack leadership. How will they source the forex when their is scarcity of forex in the pararel market for importers?

Expect inflation to sky rocket because the fuel markeyers will invade the already scarce forex market putting more pressure on the naira and adversely affecting every commodity in the market, prices will go up from fuel to clothing to household down to food, then their will be no one to blame but Pmb who wants to achieve everything at once.

Next time we should make sure we look for someone with a strong educational background for leadership not this old illiterate who is bent on destroying all the achievements of the past govt.

Kudos to the Nigerian Army.

Anyone who calls it a scam should donate his or her family members for such scam and see how it feels. Bunch of lowlifes too plenty here abeg.

The biggest fraud in Nigeria's history was the shoeless, clueless, corrupt Ineffectual Buffoon under whose watch BH seized not only territories but also thousands of innocent citizens while his NSA and Service Chiefs made themselves billionaires from Security funds.

And the worst set of Nigerians are those who call the BH atrocious kidnapping of the Chibok Girls a scam despite incontrovertible evidences of the abduction. One has to wonder whether the white matter in their skull is not Akamu instead of brain.

People with functioning brains must understand that as the Sambisa forest gets cleared by the Army, many more hostages will be freed and some of them might turn out to be part of the Chibok Girls. Why were the previously rescued women from Sambisa not called the Chibok Girls?

Common sense has departed many people just because their useless candidate lost election.
we were told that all schools in chibok were closed for security reason but the ss3 students were asked to return for SSCE exams, now they are showing us a JSS1 student that resumed school barely 3 weeks just because may 29 is approaching.

Expect your grandfather to perform some drama on may29 with this scam.
But then if other critics of this govt are buch of lowlifs and has Akamu as brain then you among bunch of highest life must have expired yughort in your brain like your granny Pmb

https://www.nairaland.com/3110142/bayelsans-lazy-governor-dickson/1

You can read the first post on the link by madcow. That's the real status of most ND communitues. The leaders themselves dont care if they progress as long as they get paid. Same reason why someone collects 18billion and claims 300 million.

Even if they implement the confab today that gej himself did not implement (Remember how many bills they signed before leaving). This same militants will forever hold the region to ransom as they are use to free money.

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-30080514

Summary, some of them supported what was wrong, and their region suffered the most for it. Do we now follow suit and sacrifice our own people, environment and lives of future generations as well?
whatever is happening in Niger delta now is as a result of the foundation laid by the ex-generals during the military regime which unless we change the structure of government we will never get it right.
Can you just tell me why,
We cannot revert to true federalism?
We can't allow Biafrans be?
We can't stop the killings?

The questions are many and until we answer them there will never be peace

PMB: No terrorist group will ever hold Nigeria on ransom again. Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, if you think Nigeria Government should dialogue with lazy guys that are just after their selfish interest then you don't want progress for this Nation.

If the NDA want anything from the government, let them come forward but thinking they can hold Nigeria Government on their kneels is No No No. Nigeria Army is up to the task, they are dealing with Boko Haram so NDA are just children looking for awoof money to flex their lives.

Note: Before you quotes me, don't tell me NDA are more sophisticated than Boko Haram, because they're nothing but bunch of coward, they attack oil installations and run into their hiding, let them wait for the Nigeria Army if they have the balls.

Bunch of lazy saboteurs.
I think the best tool govt should use against these guys should be dialogue not sheer force since their major demand is the implementation of confab report which I believe will go a long way in settling nerves and freeing the potentials caged in different parts of the nation,it will also settle the agitation for Biafra by the south east.

This people you call lazy are very hard working elites ,well connected and coordinated that FG must dialogue because even the Nigeria army are fed up with the attitude of our political class, they now understand that Nigeria is not Worth killing and dying for since na money everybody dey find! The army guys are always willing to have their share of the national cake and resign or even run away from this hell of a country to at least have a new life, besides the Army had been badly depleted by bokoharam hence not ready for another war.

Bokoharam are the real cowards for going after women and children ,NDA are the real men.

Did you read what you just typed?

I mentioned that we as Niger Deltas are only bothered about ourselves. Mentioned Gej, Tompolo, and Asari. You now came to support this by telling how Danjuma and Atiku are supporting their own region.

You dont expect another person to come develope your land when you yourself refuse to develope it. What have they been doing with the 13% derivation as oil producing states? There was a time Obasanjo stopped giving Lagos allocation for over five years..and nothing happened. States are collecting and yet still owing salaries.

You mentioned money spent for boko haram. Are you not aware that it was seen as a cash cow and many people turned overnight billionaires while Bok

o haram continued getting stronger and people kept losing their lives?

You talked about militants being paid for pipeline surveillance..who are the ones destroying it? Is it not the same militants? Those pipelines are fine on their own and can last years without surveillance. This is as good as paying the mafia to protect your business when you know they are the same people that will attack it if you stop paying. Did you also hear that in addition to the "pipeline contract", Iweala said we were loosing about 600000 barrels per day to theft?

Its obvious your hate wont let you reason logically. Like i have said, we are a bigger problem to ourselves.

Just to be clear. I am against individuals, not just notherners owning oil blocks. I see no reason why NNPC as large as they are cannot handle these oil blocks. But i will not excuse our leaders for not developing our region. Its their responsibility.
you now call Atiku danjuma and co another person, are they not Nigerians?is it wise to be alocated an oil block in gbaramatu then donate 500 million to taraba state while the Host community lacks basic amenities?how many oil wells do tompolo and Gej has? Do you know how life in the creek is?its a different life that if you don't know, you don't know, Tompolo is a godfather who has many youths on his payroll,he is one and will always be one of them because he never eats alone,he's worshiped by his people because he librated them, his people has seen the truth and are ready to defend it

You said people made money from the fight against bokoharam, my question is how many northern elites condemned the killings? How can you sacrifice your whole region for power?how can you kill your siblings just for power, these people are different from me.
Northern leaders gave army chiefs an avenue to loot which they did trust an average Nigerian you included. To an extent stop blaming your people but the structure of the country. If Pmb is sincere with himself he should implement the last confab report which will reduce the pressure at the presidency then people will concentrate on the grassroot but since he came to power it became clear all he wanted was oil, have you ever asked while there x generals always wants to be petroleum minister?

The north should know that nobody has the monopoly of violent, we will keep making Nigeria fantastically ungovernable for Pmb and co since they could not allow us complete our constitutional two tenures. Besides our four years at the presidency has really exposed us to many hidden atrocities commited and are still commiting by Pmb and co,you can't just pocket our future and that of our unborn generation, we are ready to die for this struggle.
For your information many militants group will soon spring up,those deadlier than NDA and it will get to a stage where attacks on oil installations will be on a daily basis and you wouldn't know which group to blame

I heard Buhari has ordered Nigerian to relocate their head quarters to Bayelsa, isorai

It amazes me when i see graduates display such gross ignorance. What developement took place in that same area when Gej was president for six years?

We are so quick to blame everyone but ourselves. Did he develop this said area or share money among the militants? These militants with all the money they got, did they develop the same area? Are you not aware that Asari built a school in Benin Republic? Did you hear of the 18billion land that Tompolo claimed he got for 300 million. Yet...all you can say is people like PMB.

Did you also see how Donald Duke transformed Calabar during his Tenure? Or how well Marwa performed when be was military administrator of Lagos state? What is the work of the governor if i may ask you.

Unlike you that just served there. I am from Delta state and i am in no way in support of this voilence. Our leaders need to be held accountable for the development of the state.

** Just to add..The pollution you saw may also be an aftermath of the bombing of pipelines by the same militants.
as a well informed graduate from Delta state how much did Gej spent on the war against bokoharam?how much support did your Pmb and his likes offer to Gej during his 6yrs?have you forgotten they swore to make the north ungovernable which they did, wake up young man,Buhari and co will never offer you anything good besides the militants were paid for pipeline surveillance which improved our crude oil production.
Cotonou is not too far maybe you need to travel there to see the so called school built by Asari dokubo so as to stop ranting.
Tompolo got 18 billion, how much do the atikus,Theo Danjumas,Rilwan Lukmans etc makes and are still making from their oil wells.
Tompolo has so many youths from the oil producing area on his payroll, how much do these vampires sacrifice to the oil producing areas, I once read when Danjuma donated 500 million naira to Taraba state as his gain from his oil well yet the host communities lack electricity and water.

There is a lot of blame to go to local leaders/governors as well as those appointed to NDDC . We saw Ibori,Akpabio,Odili and Amaechi to name a few. Do they serve their people well and use the resources they get honestly?
What did GEJ do to clean up Ogoniland? Hecompletely ignored Ogonis focussing on Ijaws and not even Ijawland but warlords. What did GEJ do to stop gas flaring? What did he do on East West Road. In short what did he do?
Why did they not agitate when he was in power. This sends the wrong message to Nigerians that their agitation is not about development but enrichment of militants
well said but you still have to understand that most of the people you mentioned are never the representatives of the people rather they were the products of Pmb and his likes who foisted them on the people of Niger Delta to do their bidding Gej included.
Tell me who do not have a northern Godfather among this people you mentioned, they are answerable to these Ex-generals and not the masses.
Secondly,They did not negotiate when Gej was in power because they for once felt carried along but Pmb and his likes sworn to make it ungovernable for them, imagine a Gej's government without bokoharam, maybe we would be happier now as a country but the core north in collabo with the southwest chose to spoil their fun, karma is a bitch bro

[quote author=oduastates post=45589896]The Subsidy regime became beyond repairs after Jonathan and Deizani ballooned the number of fuel importers from 5 to over 100 within 12 months.
Almost all the new companies were corrupt entities set up to collect and subsidies and subsidies alone.
Almost all lacked experience or history in the industry.
They came, they polluted and corrupted the Subsidy regime and they stole.
With this deregulation, most of the corrupt companies left will disappear.
The good companies, without corrupt government agent harassing them, can now build value chains on a deregulated downstream industry.
It is also appealing that these value chains can be built with or without crude oil from the Niger-delta.
Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Angola are not far.
If things go right, refineries, power plants, petrochemical and manufacturing can develop around the industry.
This is built on the hope that Nigeria does not experience a disastrous government like Jonathan again.

I have not even scratched the surface. A petrochemical value chain can easily supply 1 million jobs.
Nigeria spends a lot of money importing all these.

Ethylene and propylene are important sources of industrial chemicals and plastics products.

Butadiene is used in making synthetic rubber.

Benzene is a raw material for dyes and synthetic detergents

Manufacturers use xylenes to produce plastics and synthetic fibers .

Synthesis gas is a mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen used to make ammonia and methanol.

Ammonia is used to make the fertilizer urea, bombs and other munitions

methanol is used as a solvent and chemical intermediate.

Olefins are the basis for polymers and oligomers used in plastics, resins, fibers, elastomers, lubricants, and gels.

You start making plastics, maybe you will start making home appliances like vaccum cleaners, computer keyboards, toys etc

Maybe printer inks and cartridges, pen and pencils

Leadership failure has always been the problem of this country as again we are refusing to retract from our mistakes which has cost us unity as a nation.
Instead of leadership all Buhari displays is arrogance use of power.instead of carrying people along he simply made us know we are 5%. What we need now is leadership not military. This is despite the fact that among all the Presidents since 1999 Buhari enjoyed a smooth start helped by Gej who refused to distract him by not agreeing to go to the tribunal.Buhari himself too Gej to the supreme court.
We have seen how some few men owns oil wells worth billions of naira at the detriment of the host communities, this oil wells are the foundation of this nation and its been controled by just this few men who are always at the corridor of power whether PDP or APC,this few men has the foundation of our unborn generation in their pockets and you expect us all with all our education and exposure to agree, the answer is No!
Buhari needs to show leadership not military because its going to hurt Nigeria the more. Dialogue with this men and see how their grievances can be addressed because the military is even divided, many military men are aware the government isn't doing the right thing, many are frustrated with the way things are in the country.when a last copral earns a paltry 53k and dying in Service earns your family a paltry 50k,so is it wort dying for?
We need a man with a sound educational background as a leader not the status of a new sheriff been in town because Nigeria is a continent.
