Boss Robonski has said it all. What I will just advice is for you to start small. Then increase with time. On your pond you can go small as well . 700 to 800 max fingerlings is cool for it. for drugs add multivitamin to tge list eg livestovit or any other good one . On feeding, you feed at least 3 times a day. I don't know if you mean 15 kg per 1000 cats to table size. If so it is very wrong .

@ Aquadude15. wow what a great story there. thanks for sharing. The thing is that there is no success without a story to tell. we all have our own story. Even me battle with fries motility for months last year, to the point that I almost leave the business. I had even at one time dusted my certificate and ready to go and search for work before things turns around for good again.
To make matter worst my wife was frustrated about the whole situation and I lost her support. I tell you it was not easy. I had to support myself with other means, at least to feed my family. for the first time in my life I was in serious debt. what an ugly time it was. But one thing I get from hatching is that the process keep changing. If I have a success with one batch, the process may not work for another batch. So I keep changing method. I know few people that have called it quit with hatching. But one thing is sure Winners Never Quit and Quitters never win.

thank you so much. another Spirit took over me and never knew i could be that bold and confident. i returned some of my fishes back to the pond. not cos the price was not ok but cos this particular one was so abusive. i told her to gerout.

Water PH do change with time. 8.5 pH level isn't that bad for hatching, it is its fluctuation or rapid drop that could impact negatively on lavae.

Help! I noticed that whenever I feed my fishes at a spot they scamper and rush the feed to the extent that they choke each other and wound themselves. Like yesterday while I was feeding them, they clustered around at one spot, by the time they finished eating, I saw about 5 of the big ones with deep cuts on the head and bodies.. How can I prevent such cannibalism? Will the wounded survive the cuts? I just tire walahi... Since last 3weeks I've been trying to save my fishes from skin peeling, and now this!

Fish scamper for feed a lot especially when they are grown. Try and increase your bearing while feeding, throw the feed backwards a bit from that spot. dont worry the wounded will surely survive the cuts.

Preferably state the number of fishes you have in mind and the facilities u already av on ground (such as borehole/well, pumping machine etc) and that will guide the answers you get concerning ur start up costs. 'small scale' is a relative term.

Recirculatory recycles the water, aerator produces oxygen in the water, pond filter, filters dirt. others can elaborate

Bros I treat my vats, pond and equipment after all successful and unsuccessful hatching then but it didn't stop the mortality ooo. Infact na tanker dey come offload formalin for my farm cos na excess I get am *smile*. I haven't heard about the artemia but whenever you get it you can give the house update about it sir

The gurus in the house, please I need your assistance. I noticed yesterday that some of the fishes in my pond have sores on their bodies as if they are attacking each other especially the small once but I also some have peeled skin at their back and around their head.

Secondly, the water is no longer turning into slight green but brown. though I suspect the water coming from the drainage of not been pure even though it look like clean water on the surface. once I reduced the pond's water and fresh one flows in, it will gradually turns brown and start smelling after 3days if no water flow in but the fishes are still feeding well.

What can I do to arrest this situation because the drainage water is the only source of water in the area.

Alum could do the trick.
