First question: Who reports/finds all these offences?

Start from there except una neva ready to be free of the shackles.
Firstly...the buildings are surrounded with CCTV.... everywhere ,except for the restrooms.
Which are strictly monitored by the security operatives and the CEO himself because he has online access. He can watch from anywhere.

There's an attendance register which is handled by the security operatives and a thumb print attendance machine that takes record of everyone's resumption and closing time...
These informations are sent to the management's portal at the end of the day's operation.

The manager files these reports to the CEO then he makes the final judgement.

Greetings to everyone in the house...
Please I would appreciate it if the mods push this to fp.

I've been working as a senior supervisor in an organization...a big restaurant precisely with multiple outlets in Lagos (name withheld) ...I've been on the job since 2019.
I started with a salary of #60,000 but currently earning #75,000.
As at the time of typing this,I got my complete salary only three times for the few years of working with the organization.

If you're few minutes late,#10,000 will be deducted from your salary... little offenses that could even be looked away would attract debits of 5k,3k and so on...
The unfortunate part of it is that all these charges will be deducted from your salary at the end of the month.

I often end up with a salary of 30k - 40k every month instead of the initial 75k.
At some point a staff was charged 25k for missing as cake order of #7,500.The CEO of the organization has over 90% involvement in these Acts.
In my opinion, debits or charges for Minor offenses like lateness should be not be more than #500.. infact no employee should be charged above 1k except if he or she damages company assets or commit a very serious offense.
Majority of the employees including myself are tired of these and we seek legal actions.

I feel this is inhumane.. at this point I intend to quit the job at the end of the month but I'll need your candid advice on these;

*Is it proper for employees to be penalized heavily for little offenses?
*Can legal actions be taken against these act?
*If legal actions can be taken.... please how do I go about it?

I thank you all in advance for your candid advices.

According to Labor Acts, I don't think it's legal to monetize lateness of employees and deduct it from their salaries. But hey, this is Nigeria.
what can be done to prevent such occurrences again?

shameless. how can a boy of 21 know a thing about life @ 31
If you continue with this mentality I have three words for you “I pity you”

You’re 54 doesn’t make you wiser or more experienced than someone who’s 21.wisdom doesn’t come with age.

Please change that mentality and learn from everyone around you...even from little one’s
You’ll be surprised how your life and your way of thinking will change

Because the Bible preaches “spare the rod and spoil the child” then it’s okay to bathe an innocent girl with hot water?

Pls nairaland is not a place for this. Go to YouTube and learn directly for free.
simple truth..some people keep going to far places to search for what is in their doorstep..
I started practicing Corel draw two weeks back through videos I saw on YouTube now I'm almost perfect without paying any dime to anyone...

Mr op.... everything you need is on YouTube
Subscribe your phone... download and save videos and keep practicing...
