common the money might not even be the boy's,you don't really think his father will be giving him millions or contracts at that age?if that money is his then it will most likely come from his mother, its not a bundle so we can deduce that it is less then 100,000 naira, looks more like less than 10,000 to me which we can agree is not overly too much for a kid of his age on holidays, the gun it is obvious standard issue mopol army weapon,i think rather than castigating the boy we should really be looking at the media and how responsible they are at reporting sometimes,
for all we know, sahara reports might have wangled and tricked one of the boy's friends to get the picture for their own selfish endsexactly, some of us have been up to worse and to be honest its not like the boy had wads of pounds or dollars which would have raise eye brows its a few naira notes
how can u say that amount of money is less than N10,000?

its N1000 notes he's playing with, 10 N1,000 notes is equal to N10,000. the money seems in the region of N250,000 upwards to me.
the bottom line is that, from that picture, the parents are encouragin extravagance. at such an age, what is he doing with that amount of money, even if his father is the president? it shows that the family is not prudent.
SportsRe: Beijing 2008 Olympics Football Event: Men by gabelogan(m): 1:40pm On Aug 07, 2008
osaze has been the star man of the team so far. he is playing with a lot of heart. there is a problem with the team, its obvious there is no creative midfielder. i think osaze has to drop to the midfield a bit and the should bring in anichebe or ogbuke. siasia should revert to the classic nigeian 4-4-2 system.

im still tipping nigeria to win, however the strikers have to utilise their chances.

the dutch are very dangerous on the counter and that drenthe is fast as hell!

up nigeria
PoliticsRe: What Would You Do? If You Are The President Of Nigeria! by gabelogan(m): 11:15am On Aug 07, 2008
five positive things

1. i'll definately privatise the power sector. i'll invite foreign investors to come revamp the power sector.

2. massive infrastructural development in the niger delta area.

3. massive rehabilitation of road networks in nigeria

4. strengten anti-corruption laws and make the efcc independent so that it will be able to prosecute corrupt individuals. in essence, ill make the penalty for corruption very stiff so that it will act as a deterent.

5. open up most sectors of the economy to foreign investment. the resultant effect will be the provision of jobs, competition with the local companies, spin-off effect on price and quality of goods and services and increased revenue for the government via taxation and othe leveies.

6. increased funding for the universities and ill set up a special, independent body to monitor the way the money is utilised by these institutions.

If I was the president of Nigeria.

1. Nigeria would be a country for all

2. Nigeria would be more Peaceful

4. There would be Constant Electricity

5. Naira Would Top The currency Exchange.

PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by gabelogan(m): 7:29pm On Aug 06, 2008
Big B1:
I totally disagree.

There are many folks all around the world today (the real men of integrity) that live outside their country simply because they refuse to sell themselves cheaply.
Ribadu should have publicly stepped down and save his career and the value of his integrity
you know in nigeria, things are not done conventionally. you have to bend

but u'll have to agree with me that ribadu loved his job and he did it well, especially after OBJ's tenure
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by gabelogan(m): 7:17pm On Aug 06, 2008
the fact that ribadu acted as OBJ's guard dog is a fact, he had no choice but to do the bidding of his master. we all know that he who pays the piper dictates the tune. OBJ was his paymaaster, as such, he had to do OBJ'S bidding

notwithstanding, he did his job with a lot of zeal and energy. he managed to put fear in the minds of many nigerians and he was regarded even beyond the shores of nigeria. after OBJ's exit, he went after and successfully prosecuted a handfull of corrupt state govenors and government officials and he was investigating with the aim of prosecuting more of them

there is no doubt that his demotion and his imminent arrest is politically motivated.
Foreign AffairsRe: Mauritanian Troops Overthrow President by gabelogan(m): 7:03pm On Aug 06, 2008
nigeria right now needs either a revolution or a military intervention to rid the country of all these corrupt politicians.

the average nigerian does not seem ready for a revolution and the way things are going on in nigeria today, it seems as if a repeat of what happened in 1983 is imminent.

Why are you so adamant about power split.   Forget about the position of power and focus on achieving a fulfilling marriage.  When you mature more you will understand that there's more to marriage than who gets the 60 or who gets the 40.
dont mind onyinye

she's a female supremacist. i'm beginning to doubt if she'll get married with this her stance on sharing formula and all her posturing

yeah yeah yeah tongue I mean i understand what im "suppose" to do. but doesn't mean i will enjoy it. I enjoy cooking for my man, being there as his is right hand person, catering to his needs, fulfilling all his desires(well except one), but i don't enjoy the power split. I don't like the whole 60/40 thing.
onyinye which one?
