The ignorance of posters & the Nigerian citizentry is baffling.
All passengers with valid tickets are to be transported both shuttle bus & rail to & fro.
The Nigeria Airforce & the NPF's Air Wing is carrying out a 24 hours aerial surveillance of both the Kaduna - Abuja rail line and the Abuja - Kaduna Expressway (Which has been made very motorable by both FERMA & FMPWH.
Nigeria can work when we ensure it works. |

PapaBrowne: Osibanjo is the real deal oh!!!!
If this man continues like this, he will make all the difference all previous leaders have failed to make.
The problem in Nigeria largely is a situation where the two largest tribes want to forcefully dominate and subjugate other tribes and they only way seen fit to do this is to prevent any factors of development from going to other places.
Osibanjo has put 1 billion Naira towards Ibaka seaport. That's impressive.
My plea to the two major tribes is for them to give Osibanjo all the support he needs. It's funny how the most vocal supporters of Osibanjo right now are actually The South South and the South East. The 1B naira seed money for ibaka deep sea port got into the 2017 budget preparation as far back as mid 2016. Who was president & vice then? Stop these divisive sentiments. |

Politics › Brazil To Sell 3 Super Tucano Aircrafts To Nigeria by gabng(op): 1:10am On Feb 09, 2017 |
Brazil approves sale of aircrafts to Nigeria
The Brazil Embraer Defence and Security Limited disclosed that the Brazilian Government has given approval for the sale of its three serviceable pre-owned Super Tucano A-29 attack aircraft to Nigeria.
The acquisition of this aircraft by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is expected to boost its operational capabilities in tackling insurgence and militancy in the country. Aside its deployment for Surveillance, Reconnaissance and counter-insurgency missions, the aircraft could also carry a wide array of armaments, including precision guided monitors, advance avionic, communications and sensors. Additionally, the aircraft can also operate in remote and un-paved airfield while the maximum speed of the aircraft is approximately 590 kilometres per hour.
Conveying the approval to the Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Air Mshl Sadique Abubakar at the NAF Headquarters Abuja, the Embraer Contract Negotiator, Mr Eneias de Souza Freitas said, “the Brazilian Ministry of Defence has informed them that approval for the sell of 3 Super Tucano A-29 aircraft to Nigeria has been given,” adding that Brazilian government has authorized its Air Force to transfer the aircraft to Embraer Defence and Security, for onward delivering to the NAF.
Mr Freitas further said that the legal requirement and procedures were being finalized by the Brazilian Air Force while promising to facilitate the legal process “this is of concerned to us, we will for sure take your message back to the people with the legal procedures to quicken the process.” Mr Freitas said.
Meanwhile, the CAS disclosed that the idea by the NAF to acquire Super Tucano A-29 aircraft was mooted in 2015 and appropriated in the 2016 Budget. He urged the company to facilitate the procurement process to enable the NAF take delivering of the aircraft within reasonable time.
The CAS added that a team of NAF officers would visit Brazil to further inspect the aircraft. Nigeria also intends to purchase new Super Tucano A-29 aircraft from the United State. chris31: That lady in question must have done something terrible to warrant that harsh beating of her life from the solider. Though i dont support any form of assult on innocent citizen but some ladies are so sossy & annoying in nature. Is she the only one in the car? if the solider is mentally stable why didnt he attack other passengers? Maybe her yeyebrity statue enter her brain.
Once i have come in contact with aggressive soldiers along Ph & Owerri boundaries upon all their provocation we remain calm coz their is a great difference between a civilian & a military man. After delaying us for about 30minutes they have to discharge us in friendly manner.
So my point is until we hear from Ola & eye witness i wont pass any judgement on the solider. Oga the bloody private over stepped his bounds that document above states what the NA expects him to behave. If the Victim demands justice your olamilekan will go before a GCM & will get 3 years max & dishonourable discharge. If she committed a crime or offence the Armed Forces Act clearly spells out what he should do. He has no right to assault her, especially since he was on duty. |

Politics › Re: Discos Rejecting Load – Kanji MD by gabng(m): 8:25pm On Jan 25, 2017 |
fyneguy: The problem is with the DISCOS.
They are not taking electricity from the Transmission Company because of revenue leakages, thereby leaving them with huge debts as they can not store supplied power.
The DISCOS must be able to account for atleast 95% of power supplied to them. However, because of inadequate supply of meters, especially smart meters, they lose revenues. Many consumers do not pay for electricity, whereas the GENCOS will bill them for bulk supply.
Solution:
Discos do not have enough funds to buy smart meters for all customers. They should be compelled to bring new investors on board or outsource metering to various firms with varied capacities, for shared revenue.
Until revenue leakages are addressed, stable power supply is a tall order in Nigeria! Apart from OP's this is the most sensible post on this thread. Devoid of sentiment & full of common sense. |
