Gabby, i have some news for you, i broke the ice this morning wit my gf. I called her and we had a long talk on phone,and most of the issues where resolved. I credit the peaceful settlement to you, you inspired me wit ur story,if you can work things out wit someone outside ur race, i belive i can work this out wit a girl from my race, we all can,if we want to. YES WE CAN!

Im very happy to hear that. . . but always remember, it takes two hands to clap so you both have to work it off together and there are many times where you have to be at the loosng side even though you dont think so and she would have to do the same thing. . . its a mateer of giving in.

They are times where My bf and I had our arguments but we have never shouted at each other. And they are many times i would just admit defeat and just give way to him and at times he would do the same thing for me cause we know that the both of us are very stubborn one way or another and if we let our stubornness take charge, nothing in our relationship will work out.

Even though they are many times I do not want to agree with him and I cant stand certain behaviours from him. . . (sigh) like example. . . between the both of us, he is a big spender like he spends unncessarily but for me im a budgeter and I buy stuff only when I really need it and also at discounted rates or a best bargain so at times I will just tell him that Im not happy cause he buys stuff which is sooo expensive yet he hardly use them and he told me its for quality and it will last longer than those cheap stuff which I bought and bla bla bla. . . Than i told him my stuff all lasted for 5 years and its still in good condition while his only lasted for a few months. . . Than he will start saying that cause he is rough and he sweats alot and blablabla. . . and it goes on and n and on. . . Than Im like Ok Tony, nothing do you. This na small village. And then he will like ask me, baby, Im hungry. Can we go get some ice cream? Cause if u no go friend me get ice icream and you no chop with me, I will complain to your mother. And he will give that big cheeky smile which will make me feel like laughing instead of getting angry with him. . .

So its just those times. . .

Just curious how did you get to learn the Nigerian Pidgin English? Did you get to understand it by speaking it with other Nigerians or you learnt it online? I use that language when I don't want my oyinbo friends to know what am saying with my non-Yoruba friends. Of course, not to sell the oyinbo.
