Am in love wit this elegant, expensive and beautiful girl. But am scared of the relationship because, she is very expensive and beautiful. My boyfriend was once broke before. He could not afford to pay for anything and he could not even afford to pay for his food thats why he eats crackers all the time for each meal. Since I'm well off, I help him pay for everything and did not expect anything in return because I really love him. Although he felt ashame because according to him 'he was not being a man', I told him clearly that if he loves me, he will accept my help. I know people do talk about us and amebo but
you cannot stop people from talking.Let them talk and eventually they will get bored anywayz. . .

So what if you are broke and she is rich? If you two really love each other, so its meant to be. Besides if you ever end up getting married to her, it would not be just about her anymore but it would be on you two so if youre poor, she'll be poor and if youre rich she'll be rich and so on. . . .

Yes but not for my bf's family. Their's are short term and they expect us to get married soon which I am trying to find all types of excuses to not get married so soon if possible.
Cause for us Asians, we have to ensure that we are stable enough to support ourself, our parents, our husband/wife and our children and then we can get married. Otherwise, forget about marriage cause then we will consider ourselves to be a failure in life. Thats my family culture.

Well, I think it has to do with the cultural differences. I remembered my boyfriend told me that to him, he says that after one year of knowing each other and the both happen to love each other, both will get engage and than marriage after that. But when dating, the guy would call their girl Mom and African queen and all these names but for my culture, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years is too short. It take a couple at least 5 years to know each other before declaring each other as husband and wife. Thats why most of us get married quite late.

I am flattered that he called me his wife but its a culture shock and I never knew of a guy wanting to be so commited to a relationship?
