Observation - One sees something.

Inference - One theorises concerning the cause.

Empirical evidence - One designs a falsifiable experiment to test, and hopefully, prove the theory.

E.g.

Observation - light bulb comes on.

Inference - perhaps its magic... or perhaps its a tiny sun.. .or perhaps its electricity...

Evidence - the flow of electrons can be measured, it can be induced, it can be stored. So we have evidence of the physical
phenomenon (electric current), and its medium (copper wire).


Observation - plants die in darkness

Inference - perhaps they were lonely...perhaps plants need light...or perhaps its magic

Evidence - The activity of photosynthesis can be observed in the lab. Along with the medium in which it occurs (chlorophyll). Its
rate may be measured, and its dependence on chlorophyll proven.


Observation - metal attracts metal

Inference - perhaps metal is friendly...perhaps magic again...perhaps there is a force which exists in/around the metal

Evidence - this force can be detected, it can be induced in metal, it's direction can be measured (compass) as well as its
magnitude (magnetometer).

So let's take this from the top.

Observation - objects seek horizontal rest.

Inference - magic?...invisible companions holding us all down, or perhaps there is a force which exists in/around all objects (gravity).

Evidence - ??

1. A model, in order to be valid must accurately resemble the real life object. A scale model Mercedes must resemble an actual one. A scale

model 747 must resemble the real thing. Otherwise, all inferences made from that model are invalid. Your sheet demonstration does not represent

the shape of the physical universe. The environment does not consist of a plane surface upon which objects rest. It is a 3-dimensional space

containing 3-dimensional objects within it. Your model is automatically invalid because it is not true to life.

1b.And even at that. If the relative difference in mass between balls is the same (as between sun and earth), the orbit effect should be

observed if this sheet demonstration is held in a vacuum. I assure you it will not.

Thus according to your position

The sun is roughly 93 million miles from earth.

The sun is about 93.25 million miles from the moon. ( at its farthest point from the sun)

The sun is about 300,000 times heavier than earth.

The sun is about 27 million times heavier than the moon.

They are both roughly the same distance from the sun. The huge differential you see should negate any of earth's effect on the moon.

The moon is vastly less massive relative to the sun than earth is, and thus ought to feel sun's gravity more acutely.

i.e. The moon should orbit the sun. Why is the earth's gravity effective upon the moon at all?

It is rather like a tether ball. Think of the top of the post as the Sun and the ball as the Earth. The string between them is like the force of gravity keeping them the same distance apart. When you hit the tether ball it spins around the post. If there were no air or rope friction, the ball would spin forever without getting any closer to the post. Now imagine a smaller ball attached by a much shorter string to this 'tether ball'. Can it possibly maintain an orbit around the tether ball?

Simultaneously with the tether ball maintaining its orbit around the post? Or are both not swept together in an arc around the post?

Your problem is that you have no good notion of the majesty of God.

i.e. You could nurse a sick mosquito back to health, adopt it as a pet, feed it with your own blood, and still not have descended as low

as He does to have a relationship with you.

You are overestimating yourself in the grand scheme of things. And so you are unable to properly scale the gravity of sin,

and its just punishment.

A simple protein is made up of about 150 amino acids. Larger ones may contain thousands.

These amino acids must be arranged in precise sequence. Random will not work.

That is to say, the 'unguided attempt' would succeed only one out of 10⁷⁴ times.

For comparison, please understand that the total number of atoms (I said atoms) in the universe is estimated at 10⁶⁵.

Please also remember that this is for just one small protein. This lottery win would have to be repeated continuously

to give you even a cell.

Purely rationally speaking, the probability of life arising unguided is zero. Conservatively.
