They said time is money, but this is a lie. Your life is an evolving manifestation of the present. When we look inward we found out that the spirit is eternal and every individual's soul form part of this eternity. We have been deceived to believe that the present moment is of little value, the past is something we must not forget and the future is more important than both the past and present. This carries our attention away from what is happening now and export it it to a future that never come. We concentrate absolutely on what is to come instead of what is. Some people have been brainwashed such that they hardly see what they have at hand to appreciate God but continually pray and hope for what they may never have. So was the story of a blind beggar whose only inheritance from his late father was a small bench. Everyday, he will carry his bench and sit on a nearby road begging. But no one give this beggar even a dine. Day in day out this beggar will say all the necessary prayers, sit on his bench and beg but same result. So the beggar became offset and went to consult their Oracle to find out if the spirit of his late father was against him. To his greatest surprised, he found out that the bench he sit and beg was indeed made of gold. If only he has eyes to see, he wouldn't have gone begging because he has in his possession what can bring immense Wealth. They want us to become blind like the beggar, to forget about today and think of tomorrow, not to recognize what we have so that they can remain in control. Forfeiting the present moment in order to fantasize the future is a trap. If time is money then life can be measured in naira or dollars. When the naira is worth less, so is life. This is a lie because life is absolutely priceless. Time is not money, time is your life. Live it now because life is happening now. The present is the only point in eternity that you can create an impact. Stop wasting your time on yesterday, it is history, stop putting so much of your energy on tomorrow it is a mystery, today is a gift from God. Let your today count. http://okimotu..com/?m=1 |

PDP want to win that is why Sandy ono from cross river central was given the ticket because PDP knows the bug votes come from there. Apart from that, Gershon should have won. |

Osinbajo is part of this government that has brought us to where we are today, if he is not as clueless as his boss, we would have seen some difference. Maybe the excuse will be he is not being given free hand to contribute. So why didn't he resign? |

It is no longer news that Mr Thomas Obi aka General iron is dead. Even those living in the cave of Amazonian forest may have heard. He fell to the hand of death during a gun battle between himself, his boys and members of the vigilante in the area. After his boys reported killed chief Augustine Ojie; a high ranking member of the vigilante. General iron, a native of Oku-bushuyu in Boki local govt area of cross river state came to limelight in 2018 when he and some boys reported formed a militant group to protest the decision of the cross river state government to allocate plots at the Boki old palm estate to individuals, an exercise which as always, ends up in the government allocating the estate to politicians and their cohorts. General iron and his boys successfully aborted the exercise and they were subsequently granted amnesty. Prior to the 2019 elected, he was indoctrinated into politics and appointed as PDP leader of Oku, Borum, Njua ward. During the elections he and his boys intimidated voters, cause several problem just to ensure that they delivered the ward to PDP. After the election, he was appointed special assistant to the Governor on forest security after having colonized the Boki oil palm estate to his personal property with the help of some powerful figures in government (who I believed he was giving returns). The twist of fate for General iron began when his boys started putting roadblocks, harassing people and forcefully collecting money from motorists. It was later reported that by the orders of General iron some women accused to be witches were burnt to death including one Mr Kekong; a community leader who tried to intervened. Basically, General iron took ownership of the oil palm estate, with his boys stationed in strategic boundary, wearing camouflage and carrying Ak47. They beat up any one who dare to come near the estate let alone attempt to harvest a bunch of palm nut. Things were going well until recently when General iron and his boy beat up Barr Mark Obi, a former aid to governor Ben Ayade to stupor. His cloud turn gloomy on midday and he knew he has bitten the lion in it tail. Few days later he was sack by the cross river state government. Finally general iron went into hiding when a troops of the Nigerian army invaded his resident. He begged, sent open letters but all to no avail. He waited for help but help stood still. The very people who used him where far from helping him. The fate victims of his actions passes through await the general and he himself knew. On the 26th day of August 2021, General iron fell flat to the ugly hand of death. Robin Sharman said ''when you we're born you cried while the world rejoiced, live your life such that when you die the world will cry while you rejoice'' The Boki people rejoiced when the news of General iron broke. I wonder if the General is also rejoicing to his grave.

Glimpses of beauty The dazzling sun on green plains and hills And the exquisite moon that thrills Village kids to games of hide and seek At gullies of ecstasy and joyous peak. The heaps of snow on temperate forest And swarms and springs on graceful vest Like a goddess of alluring junoesque, Or a flamboyant tree of charming statuesque. Like the flower's fragrance that gathers butterfly, Or the gentle wind that soar the eagle's high, Beauty craves for conscious eyes to behold, Glimpses flashes on; that nothing can withhold. Every moment marvelously present it elegance, As that of the elephant and the Lion's resonance That travel across mountain and pinnacle Announcing to those near and distant, this ever lucent miracle. What is grace Grace is the rising sun that smile on our earth with radiant light It is the enveloping dusk That usher in the peaceful night. Grace is the colourful butterfly That pollinate the farmer's plant And turn flowers to tasteful fruits. Grace is eyes to see adoring beauty, Ears to hear beautiful melodies, Nose to smell opulent fragrance And tongue to taste juicy delicacies. Grace is the care from family, The togetherness of the community That brings peaceful coexistence. Grace is a heart to have loving feelings, And a sound mind to live rationally. Grace is sleeping on trouble night And waking to morning's joy. Grace speaks to ears that listen, It walks on street of the meek And sleeps at the home of the godly. Poet note: grace is everywhere, just that you haven't look enough to see it. By Okim Otu

Nigeria: the sleeping giant Teardrops enough to flood the river nile, Unemployed graduates queue longer a mile, My beloved land has remained juvenile. Tens of tomatoes baskets rots on bad roads, Farmers still buy gov't 'not for sale' fertilizer And the fight against graft is steep on pages of newspaper. The deep pipes are working and dollars is rolling, Timber is banned but mahoganies keep falling, Desert encroaching, globe warming, gov't watching. While sons of senators fly jets to take pictures, I D P sons dreams in hunger, a bright future And the widened poverty gap keep pace with speed. Bandits killed kids and rape women on broad day light, But soldiers shots peaceful protesters with live arms, And we called ourselves 'the giant of Africa' IDP: Internally displaced person |
The ogoja Abakiliki road has been completed, the calabar ogoja road is 80% complete, Buhari is really doing well for the Ogoja people. |

The Rebirth 2 Love no longer radiate like the raven, Injustice now risen to high heaven, Bloated egos rules the high and lowly, Unfitted and stained sleeves show off proudly. The okra plant has outgrown it planter! Children eating with elders; with hands uncleaned, In the presence of elders; palm nuts burned, Toads strolling at noon without being pursue, Abominations appraised as virtue. Oh okra plant has outgrown it planter! Stars and ravens who displayed great radiance Shall sit in place of man; with elegance The almighty who gave man dominance Can also make stone and grasses advance. So okra plant can't outgrow it planter. |
Shame on all Nigerians who voted Buhari in 2014 |
