chidaroy: Hi all
I got to DFW over 3 hours ago. POP was super easy. Didn't last up to 2 mins
The conversation was simple I got to the counter, looking very smart and confident. And before the CBP asked anything, I was quick to say "good afternoon, how are you today" CBP: Great I hand him my passport and the blue form I filled. Cbp: why are you here? Me: for a training and to have my baby Cbp: when are you due Me: May..... Next month CBP :Do you have your hospital correspondence Me: yes. Passed him printed copy of the document.
He didn't even take a look before he stamped me in for 6 months.
The I get to agricultural, they ask if I have any food. I said yes an quickly pointed at the bag Containing food items. The officer takes a brief look, takes out the onions and said it's only garlic that are allowed in. And that's it.
Lesson learnt : be super confident and friendly. Don't look scared or come off too friendly. That will make them think you have something fishy to hide.
As for money, try to hold a little below 10k. You don't have to declare your money if it's not up to 10k. I had below 10k.didnt declare it and it didn't come up in the conversation. However, when it comes up. Be truthful with how much you have.
Ensure to pack your food items in transparent nylon bags and label them properly. Its a great way to save time at agricultural and avoid unnecessary scrutiny.
I flew Lufthansa and it was super cool. We were fed 4 times and offered snacks and drinks at various Intervals. I had a pack of crackers in my bag but didn't even open it. I hope this helps someone else. All the best dearies Congrats dear, that was a very sweet one. God's Favour in action |

kizluv: If I speak to my doctor directly, I know he will be kind enough to tell his staff to give you the letter ( not promising anything, but will call today). I would rate mobap 5. There was no room for error, baby is tested and checked well, that was most important to me. I didn't need much from my Hospital box,You are given food 3 daily, your baby is given food if you want. Diapers, disposable pants and sanity towels for you. Body wash for baby and bodysuit for baby. The nurse filled my bag with those supply as I was leaving. Congrats! Pls i'll like to get d Dr's email address or pls could u also speak to him on my behalf so I can get acceptance letter from his office. I would really appreciate this. Thanks |

Modele35: Good day house, can someone help with a draft of the letter/ sample one can send to the Embassy informing them I want to go and have a baby before I go? I have a visa already over a year ago and I have been to the US twice. I have friends who have written them to inform them os such. is it advisable? I want to go to OHIO, there a good and affordable hospital TRINITY MEDICAL CENTRE. The maternity contract sent to me was :
Prepayment Cost Detail:
Vaginal Delivery
1-2 day stay [$2,400 for mom] and [$950.00 for each baby]
C-Section
3-4 day stay [$3,725 for mom] and [$950.00 for each baby]
Deposit amount $________________
Please note: Prepayment rate must be paid prior to delivery. We suggest you make payment before the seventh month in case delivery is earlier than expected. The prepayment deposit does not include other visits related to the pregnancy or physician fees. If there are complications with mother or baby the contract covers the charges for the first two days of the vaginal delivery and the first four days of the c-section delivery. Any, additional days beyond the contracted stay are the patient’s responsibility – and financial arrangements must be made at the time of discharge.
