I suffered same fate last week after waka all over Lagos. Travelex finally saved me from suffer head. My consolation is that its way cheaper than $225 black market rate. So help yourself o because PTA is now like Diamonds!
Seriously, it's even more scarce than Diamonds that you can get with your readily available cash

Fidelity is giving currently, but i have not been able to locate any of their branch that have $$. Access stop selling last Friday, But they promised me to check back this week. FBN are not selling also. Stanbic is like 22... for PTA.

O boy! Getting PTA/BTA is like getting appointment to see Mr President.
I went round UBA, FBN, standard chartered, Access, FCMB & Ecobank today in search of a rare gem, $$$$$$$$$$.
No bi small waka o my fipple !
Not even one of these banks could give me $1 instantly as PTA. One has to apply for at least 5 working days before it can be issued that is if their bid with CBN is successful otherwise "on your own o". See story!!! huh

Gone are the good oldies when one walks into a bank with naira & walk out with $.
D sufa plenti sha!!!!
For banks where u don't own an account, u've got to open one for sometime before u become eligible to get PTA.
If anyone knows where I can get PTA urgently other than Travelex, pls help a sis!
Anyone in da house who got his/hers instantly or earlier than five working day since the last one or two weeks, pls kindly help me with info on the bank & process.
Thanks

Pls what teaching hospital is this
It's University of Benin and Port-harcourt. I know it's also available in other teaching hospital in Naija at affordable rates.
Buh you have to request for it during your. Antenatal clinic so that they can make plans to be present during your labour early do it and care for you.
Despite this, women still like to show their strength of motherhood and win a title of an Hebrew woman by taking Labour pains

It's not cheap in naija either, I paid 180k back in 2011 and i'm sure it's gone up since then.
It might have been this expensive in Naija probably becos you used a private hospital. It was #15k in a teaching hospital by an anaesthetist in 2013 without any problem.

[quote author=olokings post=38532820]Congrats on the arrival of your youngie! Detailed assessment of women for VBAC by your Dr who will be taking your delivery is key to a successful VBAC. So the decision for this option of delivery must be done one on one with your Dr after proper examination and not over the phone with any staff of Dr's office. This decision usually is not based on sentiments or cost as its consequences when offered to a wrong candidate can be fatal.

Is living outside Lagos or the inconvenience of where you're putting up your only reasons?

What's your reason for the emergency that requires expedited appointment for your interview? Get documents to support your reason. If I know your reason for the urgency, maybe I would be able to advice on documents to support your reason. Be honest!

so do you know anyone that has applied for expedited appointment for the purpose of childbirth?
Yes I do Madam! My previous reply stated that. What you should ask is does she have a good reasons with @ least 4 evidence? As required by the embassy?
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 2 by Gagat: 8:30am On Jun 24, 2015
chloe7:
No I don't think childbirth qualifies for expedited appointment , the reasons why you can apply for an expedited appointment are clearly stated on the website and childbirth isn't one of it.
You don't think sohuh If I didn't know so I would be quite. My answers are only given when it's been tested $ i'm 100% sure, if not I would be quite. Like I said; with cogent reasons $ attached evidence you can expedite your interview for a medical visa
