ewa2014: Good morning house...
Thank you all for the advise and all especially when I was curious as to the letter of change of intent.
I am now in the US and below is my story:
Firstly, I sent in the letter "change of travel plans" since my visa was granted for vacation in February... So I informed the embassy that I was now preggies and would be embarking on the vacation with my Hubby but would stay back to have my baby.
I got the generic reply that my visa allows for medicals but was advised to get a doctor, pay all my bills and get evidence of payments. This reply came in the morning of my trip.
Point of Entry was JFK, the queue was long but I was taken forward cos I'm quite heavy. I came in with Hubby so he answered all 4 questions we were asked :
Where are u coming from? Nigeria. Have you been to Liberia, Sierra Leone, etc in the last one month? No. Purpose of trip? Vacation and my wife would stay back to have our baby. How are you paying for that? Cash. pls I sent you a PM |

modath: @whites, You are on point about doing due diligence but dragging his name through the MUD is what I don't agree with, If I wanted to drag his name through the mud as you are saying, I'd have gone into details.
I didn't have any plans of getting into any back and forth with @ejimsky & if you observed well, l let her have the last word as it became an unnecessary distraction, I made my choice after doing due diligence and I trust most people would too.
I'm not speaking from hearsay, this "event" happened to someone close but the person is a private person who would not appreciate being aired on a public forum..
Thank you... *Last word* This is like the fourth 'last word'... lol |
